After 4 months of being open to work. I have applied to over 55,000+ applications with little to no interviews, countless rejections, even made attempts to reach out to my networks, tried using additional external job boards to seek potential opportunities or even taking the initiative to learn new skills.

I am taking a deserving break.

This has been an exhausting and scary experience to say the least. This is not to complain at all but, this is to simply advocate that your mental health is very important. Taking a break doesn't mean that you are giving up but, you are deserving of rest. This has truly hit us all by surprise but, understanding that you are just as valuable throughout all the no's and rejections.

I remember at one point, recruiter's and talent acquisitions were on top of the world. The tech industry was booming but, we are all in this together during this very tough time. Let's support one another in every way possible, that could be telling someone to take a break, sending a referral, offering a job or even reposting their call out for help. It truly goes a long way!

I am not sure where things will be in the next upcoming weeks, months or year but, I am very grateful for everything that I was able to achieve in the time I spent with tech. Please share support, help or guidance 🗣 I am very appreciative 😃

Lovely write up above. I must say some employers that hide under the church canopy are demons. They are bad examples of Christendom or I ll say they are non Christians.
I recalled one withheld my one month salary cos she said she told a snr staff to tell me to stop work in a particular month. I wasn't informed about anything till the next month when I was to collect my salary. As in no be sack or any fault from my side o. She did not want to pay and used that trick.

I think it's all in the upbringing. Parents who were partial to their children while raising them, those who encourage unhealthy competition and those who allow bullying.
