European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Hamid7(m): 10:24pm On Nov 05, 2019
Adiwana:
I have never seen this club go this low since I became a fan.We are having a disaster of a season and the worrying thing is that the board is at the forefront of everything

I know we all love Messi but he has to take a blame in this too. He's the captain of this club and has the weight to turn the fortunes of this club not just on the football field but behind the scene.Valverde is still keeping his job because Messi is one way or the other behind him.I can't imagine Valverde being here if Messi is not backing him. The dressing room is at an all time low and we play without hunger and look lost. A lot needs to change
Messi is not backing the coach. It's unprofessional to ask that a coach be sacked. Madrid sacked two coaches last season even when the players backed them publicly.
If in your place of work you have a senior college who isn't competent, will you request that he be sacked? Is that part of your job?
Tata Martino was worse than Ernesto but Xavi didn't speak up. He left Voluntarily at the end of the season. Arsen Wenger failed serially, but none of his players complained. It's not in a players place to make such complaints.
Do you think any player will be happy being played out of position? I'm almost certain the players don't like him but can't bring themselves to say it. The lack of passion is a signal to the board to do the needful.
It didn't take a protest for Bayern to sack their coach. It didn't take a protest for Madrid to sack two coaches last season. It shouldn't take a Messi protest for Bartomeu and his board members to stop being cowards.

Nigeria will not divide. At least, not in the next 30 years.
Politics / Re: What Is Your Opinion About The Nigeria Land Border Closure? by Hamid7(m): 9:39am On Oct 23, 2019
spokesboy:
Let's keep a list of those people bragging here that it's a good policy. By December, they will all start crying like canary bird when the thing bite their pockets well well.
Why on earth will you support a policy that puts the deadweight loss on the citizens.
If truly we are self sufficient and efficient in producing rice locally, it will be in abundance and the price will crash naturally without any border closure but in this case, the price of local and imported rice have skyrocketed and hovering around 25k - 30k from 15k level.
This shows there is a deliberate policy to strangle the masses and they are ignorantly coming here to sing praises of a bizarre policy.
Can someone tell me who banned foreign music in the 90s before the local music and artists took over and flooded the entertainment industry. Today, Nigerians don't even keep track of what P.diddy or Beyonce is singing. That's the natural painless way things should go.
By Christmas, I hope Nigerians won't swallow their pride and go to Benin and Ghana govt. On bended knees to apologize for closing the border.
For those people too young here, please ask your uncles or aunts about the previous failures of ban on the importation of rice in the 80s - it only created wealth for the smugglers and poverty for the masses.
Let's pray these countries don't gang up and retaliate against Nigeria because we will be the biggest loser - starting from the banning of Dangote Sugar and Cement exports to the west coast which outweighs alot of our imports from the same region.
Your education was not in vain.
Crime / Re: Ikoyi Prison: Where Innocents Are Jailed Criminals Recycled by Hamid7(m): 8:58am On Oct 23, 2019
"You can get a cell for N30,000,” one of the warders tells me. “You can also get for N100,000 or N150,000. You can even get a N1.5million cell.”

“A million and five hundred thousand?” I protest.

“Of course!” he insists. “When Ayodele Fayose was remanded in Ikoyi Prison, what kind of cell did you think he stayed in?” Fayose, the immediate past former Governor of Ekiti State, was remanded at Ikoyi Prison in October 2018 at the start of his N2.2billion fraud trial initiated by the EFCC.

Another warder cuts in. “Don’t worry, you can never suffer in the prison yard,” he says. “As long as you have your money.”
C'est fini !!!

She cheated despite knowing she was HIV+.You run to get tested each time you have sex with her.
Quit. How long can you live with that fear?. The fact that she cheated makes it even worse. Marrying her is a risk you can't afford to take.

I'm sure you did not even read the speech before calling it clueless.
I did and actually understood its contents unlike the President himself who only read a speech prepared by someone without understand it. If his action and talk can't defend him, it will be futile for you to stand in his defence.

Not even 5 anymore but 4 points.

Relax guys,
The team will settle.

We are winning La Liga again this term.

The Champions league is what we need to worry about.
Bro, even winning liga is in doubt. The past is the means by which we predict the future. Recurring failures tell us there's no hope; The past always leaves a message that tells what the future will be. Let's face reality, let's not cling to "hope" This team will not settle, not with Valverde.

even though Bello is useless he is a saint compare to that abia orangutan called ikpeazu. At least Bello cleared the backlog salaries for campaign ikpeazu instead sprinkle kerosene on Nyamiris in Abia during campaign and yet to clear the backlog salaries.

If ikpeazu won with landslide , useless Bello deserve to win in unoppose
He didn't clear any salary backlogs. He owed more than 30 months of salaries and cleared just 4. The media is misinforming the rest of Nigeria but Kogites know it's all lies
