kween01: obviously your brain has melted else you won't wish a fellow human being death. As concerning the farming, yea, it's a great choice for me anyday bt certainly it will be mine so I can employ slow spoke like you to feed my animals. Now back to topic, that we have more warship is nt the bone of contention, bt rather, the warships are nt worth the attention given to them .One, they are obsolete and had been decommissioned by the countries that gave them to us, we spend too much on refurbishing them, also the purpose which the president said they were obtained for, I can't see them achieving it, though they can serve other purposes for the navy .
But u Pdp rats will not reason with your brain, rather u start raining curses, if ur loved ones do bad and u can't correct them, is that love? Before you crucify me.... I cannot vote for GEJ either in this world or in the world to come.... #sai Buhari. But the fact is... two of those warships were specifically built for us by a chinese company, im not sure of the other two though. And warship building isnt a small thing to do.... u cant just go n buy like u buy fighter jets or other things... you have to order to build hence you have to accept if some one decides to dash you one. Please bro lets be objective in our criticism #march buhari. |

leofab: they assemble MBTs(oplot T90s) and thats what we are getting from them. It is the major game changer in our coin-war. Nigerian Army are capturing APCs and retaking towns are courtesy of them...we have an arms deal treaty(so to say) with them its their internal crisis thats slowing down the trasition of the actual numbers we paid for. Owk ma'am Im more enlightened and impressed, few ladies know about this kinda stuff. U na boss. |

LRNZH: Be typing grammar there. It is obvious that you're not involved. The real people affected are giving their gory testimonies. Bro calm down and try to understand me: we will keep hearing this kind of stories until there are enough jobs in this country, and people no longer join the armed forces because they need a job or a means of livelihood but of love for fatherland until joining the armed forces is based on merit and not on who you know. Most people in the army today like this deserter joined because of large bonuses and good food on the table... when this aspirations were disappointed, in the battle field reality he dumped his rifle and ran. He was never a soldier at heart... he only needed a well paid job. |
Politics › Re: BOKO HARAM: Battle-field Account Of A Military Deserter by Hanibal(m): 8:08am On Feb 21, 2015 |
He got to the northeast in January, and he deserted in February because of one battle gone bad? What of those that have been fighting since day one?
As a good soldier if you are loosing a battle, you retreat to minimise casualty and re group to fight another battle in hope of victory.... deserting doesn't cross the mind of a dedicated soldier talk less of deserting after just one bad battle!
That guy's testimony is bullshit ... and he is nothing but a coward: if the testimony isn't the imagination of some mischievous writer somewhere |

WendellSimilin: The English is too refined for a Nigerian soldier? How many Nigerian soldiers have you spoken to? Very hilarious statement...and if you think this story is a fiction from somebody's imagination, then I have nothing to say to you. He said the English is too refined for a "Sergeant" not every Nigerian soldier, he specified the rank. |

leofab: really? So every country must produce everything they need. Why do China import arnaments from Russia and Isreal from US (vice versa). Pakistan from China yet they are selling us JF 9 (II) block. Even Russia imports from Franch et ce tera.... Well you are very right with some points there... but world powers don't buy arms, that is why they are called world powers viz: USA Russia China France UK and Germany produce everything they need... not even a bullet is imported so that no country can hold them to ransom by not selling arms like USA did to us more over I just wanted to correct the notion about Ukraine.... dat country is currently in trouble and has never been strong enough to produce her own weapons. |

McLuhan: Is this some kind of ethnic posturing or what? Who conducted this research? I hate it when people try to score cheap political points by bandying statistics and supremacist rhetoric. If Hausa is the most widely spoken native language in Nigeria, what am I expected to do? Abandon my mother tongue and learn Hausa? Or can we compare Hausa and Yoruba to English in terms of linguistic development, universal acceptability, versatility and sheer utility? Those who blow the trumpet of these so-called majority langauages should know that in the global setting these Nigerian languages are practically inconsequential. Whether Fulfulde or Annang or Igbo or whatever, they are all peripheral to English, French, Spanish, etc. Now what is this white man's slave saying? |
