until joining the armed forces is based on merit and not on who you know.
Most people in the army today like this deserter joined because of large bonuses and good food on the table... when this aspirations were disappointed, in the battle field reality he dumped his rifle and ran.
He was never a soldier at heart... he only needed a well paid job.

Well you are very right with some points there... but world powers don't buy arms, that is why they are called world powers viz: USA Russia China France UK and Germany produce everything they need... not even a bullet is imported so that no country can hold them to ransom by not selling arms like USA did to us
