I really don't know what that guy is saying.. Nairaland here has rules you must not go against. so likewise others. It is simple basic rules. A friend is currently suspended on FB for weeks now or so because he went against the rules of the platform.

They do not want their platform to be a hub for lies and disinformation..Disinformation that can cause crisis like it did yesterday..With social media now,you can reach more people than before..People do not need a radio nor TV to see or hear what you are saying..

For example,it was twitter that made Trump to be what he is today..The power of social media is enormous and there must be rules guiding it which is okay and fair..ordinary YouTube has rules. You can upload Porn,when making comments you must be civil etc..Are those ones bad?Capital NO..They are still very better and preferable than the Chinese apps where people are being investigated every now and then for talking against the government..Normal things in the west are abnormal in China..

I dont think they are.everyone has its own rules and regulations..just like nairaland..on Facebook you cant share anything porn,your account can be suspended if reported for hate speech etc.while on twitter,you can share porn cos they share lots and lots of it there.they also have their own rules too.likewise nairaland..Nairaland has it's own rules..I think nairaland is even more harder than FB or twitter sef..nairaland can sama you 100years ban and there is nothing you can do about it

There was pandemonium in the Orile area of Lagos State after residents discovered a tunnel under a bridge which connects to Lagos Island and was believed to be used by kidnappers and ritualists.

Residents on Thursday expressed shock, saying the tunnel when searched had several school pupils’ uniforms, a generator set, an air conditioner and other house items.

It was learnt that one suspect was caught by the residents, and instead of taking him to the police station, an angry mob descended on him and beat him to death.

The suspect, whose name has yet to be ascertained, was reportedly found in the tunnel.

In a viral video on Thursday, the residents were observed around the tunnel, trying to salvage some of the items discovered there.

It was not clear if the police were aware of the tunnel, as no policeman was seen among the crowd.

One of the eyewitnesses said, “See Lagos o. A new underground tunnel has just been discovered here. It is very deep. This tunnel reportedly leads to Lagos Island and nobody knew all this while. They are kidnapping and killing a lot of people in the tunnel.

“They found some people there. A lot of school uniforms, we found a generator, and even an AC (air conditioner). You can see what is happening in Lagos – a man was also caught and beaten to death.”

“A lot of people are still waiting around there. May God help us. A lot of children have been said to have been kidnapped in this area,” another person commented

I think its high time nairaland fact checks its news before bringing it to front page..This incident happened during the last administration..But because it wasn't fact checked and there is a machinery in place to make Oyo state look as it has gone to the cleaners with all types of propaganda and lies..This happened way back 2017,but because the opposition then did not play politics with insecurity the way these ones are
