Lazy Yoots.....They do not even understand what is being said here. So no Comments. Very soon some will come and blame Ipod, others will say it is South West and others yet will come and blame the northern block. Issues that border on market indices is an area that they know nothing, absolutely nothing about.

Do not come for me ooo, I am not even feeling well.

I agree with you completely Sir. However i expect higher standards from people entrusted with teaching others how to speak and write impeccable english and those same people will exact same standards from their students. That is just my point.

Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), has blasted the Federal government on thier social media handle, saying that the Federal government are not competent and as such does not care about the quality education for Nigerian students.

The added that, Nigerian students deserves good quality education as well as education is concerned in the world.

This is as a result of the disagreement between the both parties ASUU and FG concerning the lingering strike action of ASUU.

"Since their children schooled abroad"
is wrong grammar in the context used in that post. If this is truly from ASUU, then i hereby withdraw the sympathy i ever had for them.

benjackugo:
https://www.thecable.ng/ohakim-arraigned-over-false-information-granted-n10m-bail
What manner of fuckery is this? Let me even analyse the part I read

Ikedi Ohakim, former governor of Imo state, was arraigned before a federal capital territory (FCT) high court on Wednesday on a three-count charge bordering on criminal defamation filed against him by the inspector-general of police.

According to the police, in May 2019, Ohakim allegedly “gave false information against one Chinyere Amuchienwa that she threatened you with gun knowing it to be false and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 140 of the Penal Code Laws of the Northern Nigeria.”

“That you Ikedi Ohakim, on or about the 23rd day of May 2019, at Asokoro, within the jurisdiction of this honourable court did unlawfully gave false information against one Chinyere Amuchienwa, that you have a plot of land for sale at Lagos state, knowing it to be false…,” count two of the charge read.

In the third count, the former governor was accused of unlawfully using the name of Babatunde Fashola, minister of works and housing, as the owner of the purported land situated at Ikeja, Lagos state.

Which jurisdiction did the offence happen and where is the subject matter and the law of which region is being applied?

First Penal code of Northern Nigeria. Then the same person reverts to Ikeja in Lagos. Where was he arraigned and under which law? Property issue in Lagos cannot be tried by a Northern Penal Code. What exactly is the OP posting?

We are really expected to believe these?

Mr/Mrs omniscience,
Are you suggesting that the police stations float in the air and cannot be regarded as landed properties? Hence are out of the insurable realm?
Or are you saying Nigerian government is too big/small to use insurance products for its assets?
Are insurance policy conditions cast in stone? Whoever say they cannot cover losses arising from civil disturbances where the probability of occurrence (annually) is less than 1...
I won't follow your lead to go personal because you have just told the world how educated and mature you are.
You just sounded more dumb in your response

Do you have proof that the properties used as police stations are insured?

Nigerian government insure a lot of assets and those assets including life are covered. Not the police stations

You can state your third point in vernacular. The owners of the language cant even comprehend your english

Finally dont follow my lead. I don't dabble into what i don't know and if i have to venture, i take my time to analyse what i want to contribute to.

You are just annoying honestly.
Career › Re: My Brother's Employment Letter Was Withdrawn by hardbody: 11:17am On Nov 11, 2020
creolehunt:
About 2 years ago, my brother started working for this company as an intern. The agreement with his manager was that he will be confirmed within 6 months. After about 18months without confirmation, he resigned from the job but still kept contact with people from his former job.

Fast forward to some weeks ago, he heard that his former company needed personnel at a new branch in a new state and it's strictly an internal recruitment. So he met his former manager and expressed interest, the manager pushed his name (eligibility is dependent solely on recommendation by your branch manager) and he alongside others went through series of interviews at the end of which he was employed. Suffice to say that the HR manager was part of these interviews.

He was sent an offer letter plus other documents and he resumed last week monday. Last week Tuesday, he was called by the HRM who asked him series of questions after which the HRM said he didn't know all this while that my brother isn't an active staff and that he (the HRM) was hoodwinked by the branch manager. His argument was tgat there were other eligible candidates who could have been recommended, but the manager brought someone from outside.

Now, the offer letter to my brother has been withdrawn. Same guy that resigned his job the moment he received this offer, he has even told everyone that mattered that he was relocating.
Please is there anything we can do to salvage this, it's so heartbreaking. I don't know where they expect him to start from when he gets home.
Sorry. You cannot build something on nothing and expect it to stand. Your brother resigned and was no longer a staff, Recruitment was meant to be internal. It will appear the HRM was misled. If that is correct, it was an offer that arose out of fraud and should be void. While it may be argued that there is authority that an offer has been made and cannot be unilaterally withdrawn, fact remains that the offer was non existent ab initio.

Dummy. Insurance kicks in when properties are insured and premiums paid then ckaims are settled. Speak to what you understand and stop spewing trash in a public domain. Are you aware that monies stolen from banks during the riots will be paid by Insurance companies because banks have a level of insurance on that? Or you haven't heard that claims are pouring in in billions and insurance companies are working out the payments. As we speak what insurance do you have?

Lagos is blessed with lots of beautiful attractions and the Jubilee Charlet didn't disappoint me. It is one of the most beautiful and serene resorts I have ever visited. Lagos has once again proved it is the centre of excellence. I have always gotten this vibe of Government-owned tourist attractions are not usually well maintained. With Jubilee Chalets the story is a different one. This is one of the most beautiful resort I have visited. Beauty does not only lie in the eyes of the beholder. Beauty lies here.
At first, I didn't know what to expect so I didn't bother checking out reviews online I wanted to either be blown away or just cry for making me waste 4 hours going to Epe.

This place blew my mind away and made up for the 3 hours drive. Epe is one of the most underrated cities in Lagos. The city has a good road network, calm and peaceful.

Epe is a coastal town that shares a border with Ogun State. It is about 2 and a half hours drive from Lekki phase one.

https://www.travelwaka.com/jubilee-chalets-epe-a-beautiful-destination-in-lagos/
The only problem I have with them is that they open to lodging by 2pm and insist that you check out by 11am next day. That falls completely below standards worldwide. It is ok to fix lodging by 2pm (to enable you clean the rooms when you have full lodging) but asking you to leave by 11am when you should at least be allowed to leave by 12noon is so not proper. Because of that nonesense I use Epe Resort which is about 10minutes drive in between.

I can tell you upfront and without charge that under the laws of this country, no bank has a right to freeze an account without a court order to that effect. If anyone is in trouble it is the bank. I cant wait for that guy to get judgment against the bank. Certainly the matter will go all the way to the Supreme Court. Thereafter he should come back and levy execution against the bank. I love the new Nigeria unfolding.

This is not a fiction, i had to create a new acct for advise. I have been dating my fiancee for over a year, tho it was a long distance stuff. Trouble began when she started visiting regularly. I noticed that whenever she comes, she’ll be reluctant to do certain things. When I get back from work, she will start acting like she is sick, somebody that was online all day. Later she said she doesn't know market,i got someone to buy foodstuffs for her, she still didn’t cook it. Whenever she visits, same story.I decided to have a talk with her over it, can you believe she said I am complaining too much. She asked if I haven’t been eating before she visited. I was heartbroken to hear that from her. As if that wasn’t enough, she said she is not marrying again and she isn’t a housegurl

I called her to talk after work today and she was still giving me attitude. Her friend is saying I was too harsh

Yes, paltry, relative to the thousands they have killed in cold blood over time.

Oh ok. Now they know that the death of any human being hurts the bereaved, dependants and loved ones because they are receiving a tiny bit of their own medicine?

No one deserves to die, not the police, not the innocent civilians they have been killing over time. Hard nosed truth is, if this did not happen, the Police will believe they can't die while they use guns purchased with tax payers money to keep killing them at random and by choice. Fair is Fair.

Hypocrisy is shouting blue murder because a "paltry" 28 policemen were purportedly killed over a riot that was orchestrated because of their own earlier killings (SARS are a unit of the Police no matter how you define them) of young innocent men and women over a period of time and those killed number in their hundreds or thousands - occasioning the protest that spiraled out of control.
