Logicboy03: Commot for road!Dude, this's beyond religion. It's parallel with nature. If they will ever succeed in impregnating fellow gays, then people like me will personally champion their cause. |

Sir Elton & gay patner. Two weird creatures. Why dont they go conceive through intercourse since they are married? Dem dey go buy pikin. . . |
Typical Nigerian government propaganda in action. 95%? Was it a miracle or magic? Mr Okpeifa your claims are false! Even if the triggerhappy police and the ever wild and equally corrupt LASTMA guys have suddenly turned enforcement professionals overnight! Fact is real aggresive okada education, awareness efforts, and more thorough licensing programs, and less corruption, should achieve even more, and it's even okada income, the ease and freedom of movement that may have reduced by 95%. Besides, the myriads of bad roads, among many others are still enough for avoidable accidents to occur. Too bad diehard critiques and vigilant citizens are ever there to keep setting records straight and bringing to the fore the real real realities on ground, facts which powers that be seem so neck-bent on twisting. |
Mr Tunde Fashola, Yes it's indeed crucial that you continue and complete every welfarist project you began like in the good old days of your admnistration. Yet equally critical, you must reverse and jettison every antipeople project of yours which tends to further stifle the downtrodden and divide us along ethnic lines, and which now keeps you in bad light. |

So it shall be whether they like it or not. |
Too bad how things seem to work in naija, apparently no safety net. I'l advice those intending to think it through and have a plan B. |
thelastPope: I was almost going to ignore your post. but i feel i have a responsibility to educate you. Your ignorance is so worrisome. You just killed it! Simple fact of the matter which only those few clueless clowns fail to comprehend. Let them continue to grope about in their mental darkness. |
AjanleKoko: Deinde Fernandez owns which company headquartered in Lagos again?Just cant stop loving opinions of few sane minds like Aj still left on nairaland. With the awkward manner many of us look at national issues as this, one is left wondering if any hope in our younger ones. Lagos is one state that has the semblance of that Nigerianness going by the mix of tribes/diversity. For people to be commenting simply based on tribal sentiments like we normally chose to do simply exposes how backward we still are. |
Mad Cow: MORAL LESSON: Do not f`uck with the Nigerian Police.. Instead of trouble to dey, make rain fall..Mad Cow, immoral lesson. Now I understand why the name "Mad Cow". Let them police take a step further, KILL OFF ALL DEM STUBBORN OKADA RIDERS ALL AT ONCE so all can learn the BIGGEST OF LESSONS! The logic of a mad cow. I've always "loved" our police for their track record of indiscipline & nonprofessionalism |
KINGwax: Is that 10am or 10pm. Fake news, fake pix. I passed there twice today, nothing nothing except the usual arrests everywhere. Shoot ko, fire niDude, hightime you woke up to stark realities around you. Same very news is all around the net. 3 different threads on same very murder's on NL today! |
This same particular incident was reported much earlier today as below: https://www.nairaland.com/1095057/breaking-news-nigerian-police-shoot I guess the able men and officers of the Nigerian police are simply "doing their job of enforcing the law". Aren't they |
This same particular incident was reported much earlier today on the thread below: https://www.nairaland.com/1095057/breaking-news-nigerian-police-shoot We are gradually getting to the "promised land", arent we? I guess the able men and officers of the Nigerian police were/are simply "doing their job of enforcing the law". Weren't/aren't they |
For those who may be unaware, the war on okada in Lagos is getting more and more messier by the day. An okada man was shot dead just today by the police around Ilupeju bypass. You can check out the thread: https://www.nairaland.com/1095057/breaking-news-nigerian-police-shoot |
The okada man was rushed to a nearby hospital @ Ilupeju, and was confirmed dead. The name of the policeman who killed the bike man was given as Yemi. The team was said to be from a police station there @ Ilupeju, and the killer cop is known too well by many in that area. |

It'll be real nice for any with right info on stuff to please speak up. I really wonder how genuine that is. Seems Lagos has been in business of re-inventing/exhuming long dead and buried tax/money spinning laws. Arent poor Lagosians gonna get drowned in these multitaxes? |
A group of officers of Nigerian police have just shot dead one okada man around Ilupeju bypass in Lagos, this afternoon. This is as reported by eyewitnesses who have just called into a live program on Nigeria info. Details of the incident are still sketchy at the moment, but it was gathered the police fled out of the scene immediately on sighting the gathering crowd who tried helping the man, only to come back some 20mins later reinforced and shooting sporadically while everyone scampered for safety! I dont like - I love fish, fresh fish. I always prefer fish over and above meat. Fish has got quite a number of health benefits over meat. |
Trans-Gender OR Trance-Gender? They must be in a Trance, poor helpless creatures!! |
*I see many a nairaland has got the talent of derailing/turning such a nice topic/thread as this into a joke even when it is not under the jokes section* |
annastacie: thumbs up for you mr kennethI pray he finds the courage to follow through his decision along that line and not slip off, esp in a society where it seems unusual for an actor to be so God-fearing. |
If there are direct consequences and disciplinary measures against the officers involved, you can trust that such excesses will be put on check. |
Excellent! The law "enforcement" officers are simply doing their "job". They want to "sanitize" Lagos. Next time they should simply pull the trigger as is normal and brand him "harm robber". Brings to mind how Bokoharam broke out of control, killing them uniform men in numbers. . .rest is history. . . |
The long search coninues. . . When will it come to pass that the people will have a govt whose major concern will be overall welfare of the majority of the people? |
Nice one there. But it sure can be real difficult in some instances to easily know such items were actually stolen. |
Nice one from the Nigerian bishop. A good shot at the opportunity to voice out again against their filthy/unbiblical teachings/practices like gay. |
*Just thinking aloud* Will it suffice to say that virtually everything about okada is bad? Isnt there really a gap which these bike men tend to fill? Does a ban on okada stop a determined armed robber from using it to rob? Aren't there instances where availability of okada can help prevent one from being robbed, esp at night? What about stricter regulation instead of ban? How about emergency situations? And typical/normal Nigerian roads that are hardly motorable esp in rainy season? Any way to differentiate a private bike owner from a robber on bike? . . . .Many more questions ![]() |
Many thanks bro. What is the local equivalent of the 250-500ml? I thought lemon should induce stomache acid? |
Fellow Nigerians (or should I say tribalists), Need not read all posts on the topic before commenting, as they've all got to be about our one usual thing: extreme tribalism. @Topic, it's neither here nor there. Those guys protesting may not be completely right, yet they are not completely wrong either! It's only natural for a responsible govt to identify and adequately address any genuine concerns raised. Reminds me of Bakassi people who just yesterday, were given the "best" treatment our govt could afford. |
Gov ignore pilot's warning/advice? No more. Now I'm sure that gov. Suntai will be warning his pilot never to ignore advicing him against flying. |
