Car TalkRe: Ladipo Spare-Parts Market Finally Shut-down by Hardfact: 4:20pm On Feb 25, 2013
Sad this closure is coming despite that over the weekend, the Ladipo traders undertook marketwide cleanup exercise in response to gov's 'warning'. At same time the same gov is busy forcefully driving some 10-20 thousand low Iganmu residents from their abode, which gov called "slum", just after some days notice. These are interesting times! Someone must have an uphill task convincing all that Fashola's gov's not elitist, capitalist, and has room for commoners.
PoliticsRe: Filth: Lagos To Shut Ladipo Market Indefinitely by Hardfact: 2:53pm On Feb 25, 2013
Wadeoye: Good to hear this - shut it down fast fast...
Yeah, go pop champagne, just heard it on the news this morn, marketwide clean up after the warning not withstanding, Fashola has shut down the Ladipo market. Pray you no longer have sleepless nights.
PoliticsRe: Filth: Lagos To Shut Ladipo Market Indefinitely by Hardfact: 2:44pm On Feb 25, 2013
gboss4sure: We will have to visit mountain of fire ministries for the demon to be cast away. smiley smiley smiley. Seriously our of the major problem we have in Governance is that they don't have solution to anything except shutting down. Ladipo market can be made clean very easily but i dont know what fashola has to gain in shutting the market down. Am still wondering what that nigga is up to
Interesting events:

*Ist News- Gov Fashola warns Ladipo traders that he will shut down the market because of dirtness if they dont change.

*2ndly: The following day, traders suspend their business activities, and carry out total environmental sanitation to prevent shutdown, and appease govt.

*3rdly: This morning, govt shuts down the Ladipo market despite traders remorse, claiming they warned previous.

*Next: Like many other markets previously closed, we expect govt/their reps to be paid some millions of naira (bribe) officially/off book before the market is reopened.

Nijerians rejoice, we are having more mega "oppositions" coming together on a "rescue" mission.
PoliticsRe: Governor Uduaghan And Wife Renew Marriage Vows by Hardfact: 2:09pm On Feb 25, 2013
I'd have prefered it was renewal of their commitment to the improvement of the lot of the good people of Delta. That should have a relatively direct bearing on the people whose gov he is.

PoliticsRe: Julius Berger To Build Second Niger-Bridge by Hardfact: 10:18pm On Feb 23, 2013
CFCfan: This is long overdue. I just hope the FG and JB will deliver a world-class bridge with at least, 4 lanes in both directions.
Keep dreaming. Pray, they dont deliver worldclass scam! They must be sick about how to make you happy?
PoliticsRe: Julius Berger To Build Second Niger-Bridge by Hardfact: 10:11pm On Feb 23, 2013
Nig FG and their stories. If they wana build a 2nd Niger bridge cos it's necessary, they should simply do so and save us all the boring tales. When we happen to see a new bridge, we'll simply have to acknowledge their efforts.
PoliticsRe: Wazobia FM Kano Closed Down. by Hardfact: 10:38am On Feb 23, 2013

Wouldnt 'right' (or rather wrong) activitists argue too, she's free to do with her body whateva she pleases? Isnt it no longer a free world?
EducationRe: MAULAG: Jonathan Reverts To UNILAG by Hardfact: 5:14pm On Feb 22, 2013
That's simply doing the needful. If GEJ really wanted to honor MKO, dont think it being that difficult consulting with stakeholders first and using due process.

PoliticsRe: Three Controversial Judges To Be Retired by Hardfact: 1:03pm On Feb 22, 2013
Rather belated intervention after numerous casaulties have been recorded. Directionless Nigerian leaders and their ever beautiful business of washing their stinking linen in public glare. Who cares afterall we must maintain our coveted position as the most corrupt on earth. In the light of these recurent events, the Nigerian judges, even the legislatures, executives, most of them can best be described as crooks, thieves, criminals, name it.
PoliticsRe: Prepare To Pay More For Electricity – FG Tells Nigerians by Hardfact:
Reasonableness forever remains elusive!
With the erratic state of power supply, bills are unimaginably high and keep increasing. Wonder what it's gonna be when power supply becomes steady. Like the almighty Fashola would say, If you cant pay whatever exhorbitant figures/rates FG/'NEPA'/DISCO will keep coming up with, maybe you just subscribe to total blackout or maybe simply go to hell!
In all this, one thing is clear: They really don't give a mess what the people are going through.
PoliticsRe: FG Signs Agreements With Power Privatisation Bid Winners by Hardfact: 7:57am On Feb 22, 2013
ayanfeeledumare: The most stupid thing of this privatization problem is increase in electricity tariffs.
Not atall uhuru! The bane of unfolding events is fresh moves by FG to further jack up cost of power supply! The docile Nigerians should brace up for sh.its!
PoliticsRe: FG Signs Agreements With Power Privatisation Bid Winners by Hardfact: 7:45am On Feb 22, 2013
Nigerians want power, adequate power, constant power, affordable power, power which many less priviledged nations take for granted, power which already we more than have free Godgiven resources to achieve, power which is long overdue! Enough all these stories!

And, it's not yet over, until it is over!

Gospell: i tink my own premature expulsion was caused by masturbation as i have been doing it 4 six years, now my question is can premature expulsion caused by execssive masturbation be cured,if yes, how?
My friend. First thing to do to be free is to quit! Then allow your body to replenish itself. Refrain sex provoking activities. See a doc 4 good counsel. Google solutions to ur problem. Never be deceived you cant run into trouble doing self service. It's got lots of complications you wont like to experience. Start a new thread wt the topic. Goodluck!

PoliticsRe: Filth: Lagos To Shut Ladipo Market Indefinitely by Hardfact:
gboss4sure: Foolish ACN followers will always ignore the truth but it will soon pan out in their eyes. The failure to keep the Ladipo market clean is a failure on the LGA and Fasholas part. They should introduce strict laws on cleanliness in that area instead of embarking on a shutting down spree
The demon of "shut them down" that has long taken over their human feelings, will it ever let them?
PoliticsRe: Filth: Lagos To Shut Ladipo Market Indefinitely by Hardfact: 1:33pm On Feb 21, 2013
Tedpgrass: The drawbacks of the Fashola administration is the inability to effectively handle the intertwined microeconomics and macroeconomics of his state.

1 thing he has worked on (which had previously been an Achilles heel).... is having open days... during which progress is disseminated to public domain...**previously he was thought to be a poor communicator*.

I hope he learns quickly to correct this present shortcoming and not make a parody of his present laudable achievements whilst being supported and surrounded by his arse-licking advisers.

Traditionally and culturally, the SW governance (formal and informal) has been largely socialist. Therefore to introduce a very capitalist approach to governance rather prematurely in some cases, will backfire at some point.

Progress for some elite should not be .......of the backs of commoners......
There will be a breaking point ....... and a revolution will occur.

It's the unfair way "progress" is being enacted or instituted... that promotes bigotry.... be it ethnic or religious. Afterall Eko's message starts with "justice"...... please let's enact as such.

Till Fash gets this sorted, Presidency is only a pipedream away.... as he's yet to display the quirky ability to carry all arms of society at once. Usually a common Technocrat downside!!!

.
Such a rare sensible take on such a senseless, insensitive, rather rash approach to such a sensitve issue.
PoliticsRe: APC Unfolds 7-point Agenda by Hardfact: 11:41am On Feb 21, 2013
Nothing wrong with having a very strong opposition. But beyond being an alternative to PDP, they should be ready to work real hard to convince the people that they are much different from the PDP, and prove they are really concerned about the peoples welfare. Fewer, more specific, and measurable agenda are better.
PoliticsRe: Fashola: Centenary Celebration Uncalled For, Wrong by Hardfact: 6:46pm On Feb 20, 2013
Yes, such lavish spending on wanton centenary celebrations are uncalled for and wrong just as desperate/exhorbitant taxes and callous/draconian laws are uncalled for and wrong and taking things to the extreme.

Best part for me is u obeying rules and regulations. How I wish all are like that.
Theoritically, yes you are okay. But get down to reality, what happens everyday, it's a different story.
PoliticsRe: Filth: Lagos To Shut Ladipo Market Indefinitely by Hardfact: 2:38pm On Feb 20, 2013
Afam4eva: That's one of the reasons why i fault Fashola's style of doing things. he always takes the easy way out rather than tackling the issues from the root.
Sad. I dont a fu-ck what they say. With little signs of optimism Fashola displayed initially, he's turned almost 360 degree to destroy every hope the people have in him. I owe nobody any apology to consistently condemn wickedness manifest in whatever form. The fact that the masses are suffering while the govt has sweet comfort guaranteed whether they deliver or not is no joke!
PoliticsRe: Filth: Lagos To Shut Ladipo Market Indefinitely by Hardfact: 2:09pm On Feb 20, 2013
Gov Fashola thinks the only singular way to tackle issues like this is to simply shut down, I mean shut down the entire market. No other effective/efficient way to address these issues. That's excellent, the people's gov in action!
Similarly, one effective/efficient way to tame/put in check his wild tyrannical tendencies and insensitivity to the plight of the ordinary people is to simply shut down every form of support for his future political ambition (be it Presidential, VP, Senate) and his party.
BusinessRe: Inflation Rate Falls To 9 Percent Today. Did you notice? by Hardfact: 8:41am On Feb 20, 2013
greaterlove: My sister we claim to know so much but we know so little. I have laughed heavily because of some of the comments here, and tomorrow we will be the first to blame government when majority of nigerian youths do not understand something as simple as inflation why won't politicians take us for a ride.
@ topic, its a good development, I pray it drops more so that interest rates on loans will also drop too.
It's simply the pulse of the people. Usually after these figures, the overall outcome of their efforts' still negative.
BusinessRe: Inflation Rate Falls To 9 Percent Today. Did you notice? by Hardfact: 8:35am On Feb 20, 2013
It can as well "fall" to 0%. Govt agencies must spare us all those jargons. To the common man on the Nigerian street things aint getting any better.
PoliticsRe: Is GEJ Your Dream President Or nightmares? by Hardfact: 9:05pm On Feb 19, 2013
GEJ's gradually become a big unpleasant surprise to all. If ever there was a time he needs to speak through decisive actions/steps, that time is now!
