madridsta007: If what you claimed he did, the whole charges thing, actually brought more improved power supply to Nigerians as millions of Nigerians claim, then better. You must understand that open-minded Nigerians do not care much about what you do internally engineering and maintenance-wise, all they want is ELECTRICITY.Sorry sir, the average Nigerian who lives on less than a dollar a day, really cares about how much he has to keep sacrificing for basic amenities likes power, which nobody expects to be free even if it were Freetown. Same logic, nay trick Nig politicians always emply to hike costs. |

Yomieluv: Its a case of profit maximization, cartel formation, and high level of corruption.don't be surprise that the DG of NYSC might be involved in it too. During my time, the NYSC kit was nothing to write home about. What do you mean by "during my time"? What makes you imagine that those rags could have become any better long after you have served! |
Yes because if those producing those next-to-nothing quality of shits (sorry kits) will never be punished as the system always guarantees, then there's no point bothering about standards! May be our corpers should just drive it home by simply going about their national service dressed in pure rags as in ragdays to save us all the confusion ? |
60 sounds much like an understament of fact. |
Aloodunayo: Tonto dikeh should have made the list.Sorry Bros, Mode9 may be underground & may have some other issues, but that simply doesnt make him still upcoming. ![]() |
Bros, I'm sure if you visit Alaba International in Lagos you'll most certainly find all Fela's albums for a fee. |
Teacher, what's up? Really love what you're doing here. Keep up the good work. |
Poster, the example your picture shows is nothing worth immitating. That's pure nu.dity! A woman who honorably covers her body need not bother. |
It's all part of dividends of democracy, isnt it? We must be in a kangaroo kingdom where things that should naturally work simply dont, mustnt we? |
If we ordinary people of Nigeria cannot think straight, and think we havent suffered enough to be able to raise our heads above all ethnic sentiments, know exactly what we want in this one Nigeria (albeit awkward setup) and press for it at every opportunity, then may be let the sufferings continue. |
I'm getting more and more convinced - there must be some demons or foul spirits of some sort possessing most Nigerian Police officers and I think they need to be exorcised of these spirits holding them hostage. Everyday, they go out to kill the people they are dutybound to protect, and as usual the police authorities quickly come put up some cheap lies and excuses, distorting the facts, rather than nail/throw out those rotten eggs amongst them to atleast salvage their already battered image. Anybody having any business with Nigerian police, must indeed be dealing with them at maximum risk. |
Wonderful topic! First of all Lagos State govt come out sincere with their traffic efforts and policies. Fourth mainland bridge should transform from impossibility to reality. Pending when they choose to do overhaul, they should patch up those myriads of potholes that fuel trafficjam on some major roads. They should go finish all those road projects of first term which were abandoned. Govt should get serious with canals and gutters not being blocked any longer. There're lots of critical connecting roads which govt of own wisdom chose not give. They should go work on those roads. Govt should stop building narrow roads which still tend to choke up traffic (like the one around the recent plane crash site). Bustops should be made wide enough to keep the roads free of them danfos. They should thoroughly retrain all LASTMA Officials. The list's endless but I believe govt sincerity of purpose is the sure foundation of riddance to bad trafficjam. |
Yes, but our corruption is still the number one in the world, isnt it? So unfortunate that the people are faced with such bleak future in the presence of unbelievably super-abundant multiple God-freely-given natural resources. |
'Cause you are so beautiful |
Doyin Okupe = Mere FG Puppet/Parrot |
50%? Think he's being economical with the truth, yet many other northern states are even worse. |
Hope not another union of strange bedfellows. Fingers crossed |
Hmm! Baba she na now your eyes dey clear? |
Jarus: Nice one. A few more tips:What if you are asked how much you earn currently, will it be wise to inflate, whether entry level or not? |
Yes, that's laudable and very kind of them. If Nigerian govt and NLC are incapable of making it easy for our workers, why not. Nice one from them. |
Test of the freedom of choice I guess? Hope Nigeria learns from watching to see how it goes. |
This is simply an honest admittance of the fact that a lot is definitely not right with the LASTMA and other traffic Officials like road users have always complained. Thank God they now seem to be gradually coming home to realities on ground. Pray they be magnanimous enough to extend such fair restrictions to the police, local govt boys, and other similar gangs of touts-turned-traffic-law-enforcers who now parade the streets of Lagos. |
Mutane ina, sanu nku |
Great job! |
Popular opinion says okadas should leave only the express roads. Fashola bans them from express and some major interlinking roads. The police comes in, and of their of making, takes it even further, arresting them, siezing their bikes, beating, and even killing some, even on excluded inner streets, which was never what Fashola told them! Now most people are simply confused even the okada riders themselves, some of whom now chose to flee, and nobody (even Fash himself) seem able to set things right. Are we safe right here? |
Whack, crude, illtrained, unprofessional, unintelligent, incompetent, . . . These are sorts of words that tend to best describe most officers of the Nigerian police and their approach to their job. Or how else do you explain such numerous occurences as this, like the killing of a harmless okada rider just last week . . . Worse still there seem no mechanism in place to sanction such erring officers. |
Quite insighteful! |
teniyi: John, David, Zachary! Evil in christiandom. No! Those gays are not christians, not even with christian names. The good lesson from the bible on gay issues has long been taught if you remember how God destroyed Soddom and Gomorah over homosxuality. |
obo_man: Everything shouldn't be about the money..... You become graduate to earn a career, not a living.... A career is lifelong, and I don't think being a truck driver is the reason why people go to university....Real talk man. |
Logicboy03: Nigerians can hate but things are changing!Yes change is necessary and desirable. Change, Positive change, change from bad to good, good to better, best. Not from good to bad. FYI christianity cannot die. |
When I was still a kid. Yet I see too many presumed adults today fo-olishly fighting on nairaland. |
