PoliticsRe: Niger Bridge Is Falling! by Hardfact: 6:33am On Feb 10, 2013
The Niger Bridge is falling,
David Mark is busy talking,
and the Nigerian govt is too busy watching.
Building a Second Niger Bridge, another worthy promise/project GEJ led FG's seem cut out not to fulfil/carry out.

watchinglagos: By virgin land I mean the road will be expanded on bushy parts which will be built from scratch.
Also don't forget that demolition and clearing will also take place on some existing structures that will give way. Also note that commuters and passers-by plying these routes might also slow down the work. As for Old Ojo road, I agree with you. There has been improvement in bad portions, the notorious Alakija area was repaired by LPWC but they need to do much more on that road
Think I now understand the 'virgin'.

kingoflag: How old are you, bigot?

Ever heard of M. K. O. Abiola, Baba Gana Kingibe, Bashir Tofa, and Sylvester Ugoh...

The first two names were Muslims and ran together. Of the last two names, one was a Muslim.

Take a wild guess of the duo that lost disgracefully in the freest and fairest election Nigeria ever conducted?
Yes Muslim-Muslim (Buhari/Fashola) presid/VP candidature real healthy for Nigeria. Think even Buhari/Idiagbon. Interestingly Christian/Christian presid/VP candidates is quite unimaginable, peak of bigotry?

Billyonaire: Of course my beloved compatriot, What GEJ has started is monumental, there is no way it would have been done better, there is no point preaching for change when we do not trust the new team of power hungry people who will first want to fill their pockets judged by the history of Tinubu and who will start by enshrining Sharia and empowering Boko Haram psychologically, judging by the sympathy that Boko Haramist have on Buhari. We will all, as Patriots on the Nigerian Project, know that GEJ is doing what is supposed to be done, if our Past Presidents re-constructed our Airports, Kick Start the Railways, and Put the power road map in place as GEJ is doing, Nigeria would have been another China by now, because we would have now faced the Steel Industries. My fellow compatriots, Change is good, but positive change, let us not move from a known humble man, who loves God and kneels before Authority of God under our eyes to say all Powers belong to God, he alone can give wisdom. Let us give this humble man 8 yrs of Nigerian time and see if he will not perform more than 50yrs of misrule of all those who went there to share oil wells. Thank you all for reading and believe in GEJ, he is a truthful and humble servant of Nigerians.
Bros, but honestly your Goodluck seem under some evil spell that he just cant stamp his feet and perform, even for his own people. Why cant he just decide and give to the Nigerian people something more concrete? He still has all the resources at his disposal now, even to easily win the heart of Nigerians.

Gbawe: It will 100% be a Northern 'rapprochement' Presidential candidate and VP from the South. The VP, for strategic reasons, is likely to be a current governor. I think stakeholders will feel Buhari and Fashola ticks more boxes than any other combination.
What if it was a Southern presidential candidate, and a VP from the North? Just asking.

There is no how such reports cud b implemented as its recomendations are null, void and worthless. GEJ is working very hard and I urge Nigerians to support his good work and remain patient wit him. He has revotated our airports to world class, he gave us steady power, he reconstructed d Benin / Ore road, Lagos / Ibadan road, East /West Road is now been reconstructed. CrimeRe: Lagos Sends 30 Beggars To Jail by Hardfact:
Billyonaire: I witnessed a miracle at Adeyemo Alakija Rd, VI-Lagos some weeks ago. A blind beggar was escorted to my vehicle window to beg for alms. Unknown to the begging crew, there was a Lagos state task force vehicle by the other side of the road preying on them. On sighting the task force, the blind man regained sight and ran with the speed of a cheetah. That was the fight non-religious miracle i witnessed in 2013. Praise be to God.
Well, Haleluya. But govt should still thread with caution 'cause I know of a miracle too where someone who could only offer a beggar N20 suddenly produced N200,000 when threatened by armed robbers @same traffic spot.
CrimeRe: Lagos Sends 30 Beggars To Jail by Hardfact:
To enact laws banning begging on our streets and enforce them in line with our Lagos MegaCity project seems really fantastic.
If those humbled to the extent of begging cannot actually get some help, pray they dont try achieving same through rather violent/forceful or more dangerous means like pure armed robbery or even worse.

Govt should thread with caution on these issues.
Wonder what it'd look like if it was 30 typical Lagos troublesome agberos/areaboys that were sent to jail for extorting/robbing, not even begging instead?
PoliticsRe: Amanpour Interviews Nigerians In Lagos About Power Outage by Hardfact: 2:16pm On Feb 05, 2013
Whatever may be the case, I personally am aware power situation has greatly improved, and the president seem to be trying to make some impact in that area albeit yet unimpressive. Sometimes, for eg, I experience almost 2days uniterrupted power supply.
Having listened to those responses from the street, it looks like just one side of the story. The power problems many experience are more/less localized and usually a creation of corrupt and wicked PHCN staff who know nothing but exploit the docile masses. Hopefully, healthy aggresive criticisms might push the weak presidency into producing better results in this area which they seem to have interest.

PoliticsRe: Mr President Call Ihejerika To Order by Hardfact: 9:14am On Feb 05, 2013
My humble submission: how true is it that Ihejirika is being overly biased towards his own people? Fed Char, how effective has it been in many other areas/aspects of the country? I wonder why southerners are not complaining too.
That said, I feel pity for the divided south that is destined to keep playing slave to their united northern masters, who are born to rule.

PoliticsRe: Northern Senators Meet Over Igbo Domination In Army by Hardfact:
Interesting! This idea that Nigeria was really never one keeps popping up again and again. The politics of Nigeria's always been the more united North with every biased advantage gathered over the years, versus the forever divided South whose best's been to always do the bidding of their northern masters, like sheep to slaughter. A lot of things are definitely biased in favour of the North in this "one" Nigeria and the last thing the disunited south that feeds the nation can do is to find a way to put these things right. One keeps wondering how this "one" Nigeria structured in the skewed manner can ever make meanful progress, while other nations keep building on their past successes. Awo's era's kind of govt which recorded achievements, wasnt it better than the current mess that encourages visionlessness and laziness? With the way these things are going unchecked, I pity the south if a regular Nigerian northerner every clinches power again.
BTW, arent there Yorubas and NigerDeltans in the army, and why arent they complaining too, to lend credence?

PoliticsRe: Extremely Bad Portions On Lagos-badagry Road (pictures) by Hardfact:
watchinglagos: the road being rebuilt, it might be slow because it is a Virgin land, also, present commuters on the existing toad are considered, the current road will eventually give way to the railway tracks. My opinion though, and because I witnessed what they went through at agboju
Badagry expway is a virgin land? Just wondering how much it'd hurt gov Fash to pour some stones on those hazardous portions far off from where the work's reached, and putting supporting roads like Old Ojo Road in good shape so as to make roadusers suffer less. Recall good old days when solid/standard road construction wont even take up to six months.
PoliticsRe: Petitions At National Assembly Over Army Promotions by Hardfact: 6:33pm On Feb 02, 2013
nikky5: Something is happening in the Nigerian army which will affect the security of this nation. Why did the soldiers en-route Mali were attacked at Kogi?An insider did that and that insider is a boko haramite in the army.Even in the army religion remains a strong force.Jonathan is aware of any change in the armed forces as commander-in chief and he must append his approval for that change or reform. The reasons for the change are:
1. To break Northern dominance in the Army which is considered as the highest arm of the military.

2. To weed out those Northern officers who may have been on surveillance in respect of the boko haram saga and are found to have direct or indirect link to these terror group. Remember the Jaji church bombing? An insider must be involved.

3.The southern and eastern military dominance will properly checkmate the activities of other northern officers who are still under 'security watch'.

4. To assist the president to consolidate his rulership of the country and prepare the ground for 2015.

I support this trend. If past statistics of military recruitment, postings, promotion retirement in the last 30 years are published the petitioners will cover their faces in shame. If they want to repeat 1966/67, good luck to them. The COAS is a very experienced and versatile officer. The end of terrorism is just around the corner.
Fair enough.
