The submissions of the above are nothing but an understatement. PHCN now bills consumers like some demonpossessed entity. They'll rather keep talking about it like one mission impossible, while they continue extorting the masses. |

COOLDUN: Don't mind them, it baffles me a lot when people like Indians who don't value lives will tell you that, they are vegetarians even going to an extend of refusing you house accommodations when they find out that you are not a vegetarian, these people can kill because of cast differences, eg low casts marrying a high casts sons/daughters in the name of honor killing , they can mob innocent foreigners whenever their brothers or friends have any little problem with any of them.
If you escape them, any innocent black fellow will pay for what he doesn't know anything about. They will molest a virgin girl and insert iron objects inside her private part till she bleeds to death, but they claim the don't like wasting a life/blood. How can someone protect animal and kill his fellow human being? all these are hypocrisy.
Plant and and Animals are all living things, if you don't like taking lives, then stop eating vegetables/plants because the have the same Biological Characteristics, which is known as MRNIGER M: Movement, R: Respiration: N: Nutrition: I:Interaction.G: Growth:E: Excretion:R: Reproduction all the 8 characteristics of the living thing which one do the plants/trees don't have? Any one who cut a tree/plant is as guilty as a person who killed an animal or fish. The best way to avoid both of them is to starve to death. Or better still, go hang or hug trans. . . |

cap28: Were those people in the slums of Makoko from the east? How come Fashola could not rehouse them, many of them had been living in that area for generations.
Why are you so keen to focus on my state of origin - i am not a tribalist like you as i see myself as a nigerian citizen free to live anywhere in nigeria that i choose, do you see americans from different states being told to go back to their states of origin if they cant find jobs in one state?
All businesses started out on a small scale and built up - in civilised societies small businesses are incentivised and benefit from govt loans and subsidies, in nigeria they are run out of town. Would you prefer a foreign multinational to come to nigeria use lagosians as cheap sweat shop workers and remit all their profits back to europe and america - is that your idea of progress? Quite captivating an opinion. Many wd stop at nothing to extol draconian measures taken by Gov Fash against the people, provided they themselves are not affected negatively. They'd rather sit by and pump more gas to the fire. Whatever moves/policies govt makes, whatsoever which fails to adequately take into account and fully appreciate and come to terms with the bleak realities which the common everyday Nigerian/Lagosian is consistently forced to contend with, and denies the downtrodden the chance of survival, is nothing but outright wickedness! Curiously, Amid the bogus claim that Lagos alone, can survive without oil all the govt can do is to extort life out of citizens. I dare the Lagos State govt and even their agents and staunch here on NL to go the full length, if they've the gut, to feed the people in great detail how much they make and what they are doing with all the monies they make. Sorry to say, I pity Mr Fashola and his Vice Presidential candidacy if he just cant learn to thread rather more softly . . . . Never a time were the people made for the govt. Instead the govt was made for the people. |

anybody in his right senses that says dbanj song is alright in this occasion is a tribalist,
i mean what is the meaning in that song that suits the event? lyrics "i love beyounce, i love omotola, i love genevive, then shake bum bum" what an insult to the event. Eerm, bet it looks Nijerians who felt it was splendid dont really care about the ideal situation where the song meaning/lyrics has to match the occasion. You dont wana be tribalist. |

Yes we can still be united. Whenever a football competition is on, we all become one, and rejoice together in love, in our victory like now. But as usual, whenever it's over, we simply return to our previous, normal disunited states 'cause truly we never were one in the first. In fact, this time, even the Bokoharam Islamic murders couldnt even wait till the competition was over before killing some 15 health workers in Kano and Yobe, just this same weekend! |

Politics › Re: Ohanaeze To APC - Field Igbo Presidential Candidate, by Hardfact: 11:01pm On Feb 10, 2013 |
peckhamboi: Igbos are really a pitiable lot, it is obvious they don't have what it takes to rule the country, obviuosly from the state of underdevelopment and insecurity in biafra, coupled with inability of igbos to build a meaningful party of opposition right from independence that igbos have no agenda except that of grabbing power.
they hobnob and play political prostitute with who ever is in power, because they have no vision either for their region or the nation, that was y zik joined NPC, and all of a sudden the vision of NCNC a party founded by a yoruba man who made zik his secretary was taken over by igbos and destroyed with the usual igbo leadership visionlesness, selfishness and greed. thank God yorubas abandoned NCNC for them cos that was the end of igbo voice on the national political scene...igbos cant build a real party..
u can see that the igbos dont mean well for nigeria, that is why they want to support this failure called pdp and jonathan that has no direction just because they hope after jonathan they will be allowed to rule.
am not suprised zik and ekweme did the same thing, and joined with a party that had no vision whilst yorubas remained in opposition, after they will start crying marginalization
igbos have the worst leaders in the world, can you see this mumu, saying they will support jonathan so that jonathan will support them in 2019, even if jonathan wins in 2015 doesnt he know that power will go to the north in 2019 and will remain their for atleast another 8 years?
you see how igbo leaders right from zik, ojukwu, ekweme etc always lead igbos to military and political defeat and confusion,
igbos are not ready to rule ... the one that i was even thinking was different ie rochas has showed himself a typical igboman with trader mentality, and mindless grab for power,,. even before he was inaugurated as gorvnor, he wrote to all banks freezing to freeze imo state account and had to be warned by inec that he yet to be inaugurated as gorvnor after election, he keeps fighting and showing his power all over the place, the last time it was with senator anyanwu,
just behaving like a typical igboman that sees money and position as a means to lord it over others... fashola does not use siren, he stays in hold up no matter how serious like other lagosians. awo never stayed in govt apartment or take govt benefit, he always said what he cant enjoy at the level of his personal wealth he wont accept in public office
igbos cant rule, they dont know the purpose of politics or power, that is why they dont understand the beauty of opposition politics, they have never been in power yet they have never been in opposition, always begging complaining and whining,
the opposition may one day win power, or have a strong bargaining power, like when the nation was forced to vote for yoruba men in 1999, but when you play political protsitute like igbos, [people always use and dump u.
igbos are really pathetic, confused and primitive polticaly Quite a good shot. Some elements of truth, tho I think not completely true. |
