Guk: From experience of the last exercise, the occupants of the neighbourhood are the ones that usually inform govt of the abandoned vehicles constituting nuisance in their area as govt does not hv logistics to go around looking for such all over lagos.Yes, you and I know if that's what'll happen then there's no problem. Meanwhile, fingers crossed. |
franchizy: GEJ in collaboration wit Gov T. A Orji are rehabilitating all d major roads in Aba, Abia state. Dis roads were abandoned by d past administration. It is 4 d reasons dat Abians say they will forever remain indebted to our God sent Gov T. A. Orji.Bros, how much are paid you to hype for and in collaboration with god-sent Gov T A Orji? |
T9ksy: My people says, "crayfish no bend, na condition make am bend".Very "matured" comment. Southerners quarelling insulting one another at slight cause while the North always stand together. You were way too polite. Kudos! |
pro01: How come this procedure was not mentioned in the report? This your text-book proposition surely contradicts the "three days ultimatum" notice and threat of immediate and "massive" removal of vehicles scheduled to commence on 28 January. In Nigeria, there is always a yawning gap between theory and practice.. . . .which only realists and discerning minds shall not ignore. |
Obj, GEJ arent they the same? Obj's 11years wasted. GEJ's 3years of waste and still counting. I still dont understand why in abundance of scare resources the looters/leaders in govt still find it impossible to make a mark. |
! |
GEJ has got a lot goodwill which he's fast loosing. No matter how hard one tries it's difficult, real difficult, in the light of what we see to say he's doing fine. Sorry to say, GEJ's a big dissappointment to NigerDeltans and all Nigerians at large! |
coal_coal: That is why I love tuface. His videos are decent.Shey you don watch Tuface's "Na Your Eye You Go Sharpen"? |
tha_originator: Stree wey dem go do leave am there without any power! A good example is the lekki/ajah/epe-expressway, dem just put the street lights pole there for the sake of putting! The lights are always out!!!Is that so. |
I step in right direction if it actually happens and will last. Street Lights are indeed a very big deal in Nigeria where so many roads both in Lagos and beyond, whether new or old, dont have lights. It's now become newsworthy. Did I hear "FERMA"? With chaotic state of Fed roads, is it not better sometimes to imagine they dont exist? |
Sanusi again? Hope another wahala. |
Hard fact: Many who live in Lagos find it really difficult to live in. Even many more outside dread living there. |
Fhemmmy: Ummmmmmmmmmm . . . Nicely said!Bro, this's what we see everyday. Will it hurt to factor in those possibilities and equally see how to effectively deal with them? |
Clearing truly abandoned vehicles off the roads in itself is welcome. Yet "three days" ultimatum, usual govt firebrigade attitude is something else. Again I hope our overzealous officials wont tag and tow just any vehicle they see all in name of abandoned vehicles, while those who've sold their souls will continue to shut their minds to simple reasoning. Official pronouncements usually diff from what's happening on ground. |
take dat: I support every call for openness in Government, We need no secrecy but full disclosure of government dealings. Fashola with all the goodwill that surrounds him should remember that we are in a democracy! |
take dat: If this directive had emanated from the Presidency, you @Eko Ile would have read meanings to it. Its good to call a spade a spade and not a farming tool! I am an ardent supporter of Fashola, but this directive calls for suspicion!Spot on! Rather unbiased opinion, sort that can take us to greater heights. Quite unlike those of your oponent whose sole business on NL and mindset is to keep singing Fash's praises, never see or say anything wrong with the govt, and attack those who do. Always known power corrupts, why we need checks and balances, oppositions and critics. |
@Kay 17, and Gays in the house, plz I ask if one wants, how can one become gay? I learnt that gays have bleeding an.us, haemoroids, or something like that, how true? Plz reply. |
Plz , Gays in the house, if one wants, how can one become gay? I learnt that gays have bleeding an.us, haemoroids, or something like that, how true? |
Ermmm, plz, is it: MegaCity, MagaCity, MeagreCity, MuguCity, abi na MegaPity? You know say these days we no dey too sure? ![]() |
Who's doing great, T A? How? He wants to use the calm achieved by Fed Soldiers to shine, and give excuse as what he used money. He had better gone to work. |
Paentera: Please come to this contribution with details for the benefit of others who do not know. Give us a list to these abandoned projects to make your argument believable. And I hope you are not going to refer to the Badagry expressway as the abandoned road?Nice one. I'll see much I can do. |
CyberG: There is now FOI regulations that guarantee you can get the report you seek. Go get it and prove their figures wrong!Nice one there. Yet stark realities still scream all is well with the declaration? Think just taking it is it, many there think not? |
4 Play: http://www.newstatesman.com/alan-white/2013/01/trials-roseline-akhaluThis is a masterpiece, classic example of what it is: life as a Nigerian in and out of naija can be very frustrating, almost impossible! Either way you are still doomed. Those who run the state know nothing but to loot and lie, and people still hesitate to kick against them. Whatever health problem it is, without those other serious countries, even our 'leaders' are doomed as they will never 'know' how to make those things work here! Any little headache they simply fly off like witches to foreign lands to seek med help. Even, many more, similar unreported, even worse occurences than this abound! |
kaze4blues: Don't even xpect our ppl to argue blindly on ds issue.Garbled info? You really think Fashola actually did a lot in 2012 to justify his claim OR Fashola is only trying to justify his claim that he did a lot in 2012? Independent review, not just "his analysis" will give clearer picture. Besides, providing dissenting minds the more detailed and concrete info/evidence as earlier requested here will go a long way. |
iv4fb: Fashola's opinion, we want independent confirmation.Exactly. |
ijebabe: Why not just open a thread on New Singles for people to see & download and keep updating it? That way old links/post can be modified. Why open a subsection just for new singles? My thoughts though...Something like equally not bad. Think we are almost saying the same thing. Besides, mods there are lots of nice but hidden topics/threads that should should be brought to the fore. |
Guess he's joking. And why no link? |
geeez: How much will it cost a ritualist that can extinguish fifty people to kill one informant worth just N5m?Infact, I feel lifting the popular word 'Daft' to describe the gov, but left me refrain. |
Ileke-IdI:Dont mind them. And the messed up police will tell you the matter is being "investigated". See the female gov Obi say 5M Naira like he means what he says. |
ThisPunchReport = HalfTruth = Lies! Didnt GEJ ask "Why are you treating people like poultry"? |
Any link to the actual Lagos2012 Budget itself, comprehensive doc on projects, tax, IGR, allocation, etc as Hard Proof? Please provide, so curious/skeptical minds will peruse and believe. And those "projects" how in tune are they with the realities, the yearnings, the pulse of the masses. (Or their voice dont really matter?) Or are they another bogus claim characteristic of Nigerian govts? 89%, isnt that rather too high, too good to be true? I'm very much aware of several projects in Lagos, esp roads that Gov Fash started since 2008 (i.e 1st term inception) yet to be finished, or rather abandoned till date!. |
