PoliticsRe: Blame Jonathan For Nigeria’s Woes – Obasanjo by Hardfact: 3:28pm On Feb 02, 2013
okpara ugo: He is saying the truth in a looser's way. Why didnt he say such truth under Abacha? Smh

You sef go look person before you tell am truth. I dont balme him, he has placed them there to protect his a55, yet he turns to insult him.

I never knew OBJ could be so unintelligent. With protruding orifice....
Agree with you on this, tho not all. Now Obj talks like a messiah, sent from heaven to liberate his people, a hero, brave man who should be given a chance to take us to Promised Land. I salute his core rage. One of the greatest disasters of our time.
PoliticsRe: Blame Jonathan For Nigeria’s Woes – Obasanjo by Hardfact: 3:00pm On Feb 02, 2013
Some truth from Obj. Agree GEJ shd step up action. But so sad again, Baba Obj had to wait till his regime was over. I really dont know why I should now like him just for these few shots here and there, maybe cos of the beef? Talk about Nigeria's woes, Saint Obj's well involved! Even the Odi massacre, etc are some security disasters overseen by him. And yes his civilian reign really gave the Igbos some reasonable, unprecedented inclusiveness/sense of belonging.
PoliticsRe: Fashola Chides Critics Over ‘borrowing For Development by Hardfact: 10:20pm On Feb 01, 2013
Borrowing? Lagos? We should embrace it with both hands? Maybe Gov Fashola's boys on NL should please come tell the house with solid reasons, how it makes so much sense to now go borrowing. Fashola always' getting it right? Like Fash's genuiness faded away after his first four year, for real!
PoliticsRe: Fashola: Jonathan Lacks The Knowledge To Tackle Nigeria’s Problems by Hardfact: 8:57pm On Feb 01, 2013
BTW, I think gov Fash's got some truth in saying GEJ's not doing up to our general expections. Except still that they all appear to be same of same. A govt that takes seriously the lot of the ordinary people will certainly go far.
PoliticsRe: Fashola: Jonathan Lacks The Knowledge To Tackle Nigeria’s Problems by Hardfact: 7:52pm On Feb 01, 2013
kaeto: LAGOS STATE IGR IS WELL OVER N40 BILLION MONTHLY, THE FG ALLOCATION TOO QUITE MASSIVE YET LAGOS STATE CANNOT CONSTRUCT EVEN A LOCAL 2 FEET GUTTER WITHOUT BORROWING FROM CHINESE BANKS, TODAY LAGOS STANDS OUT AS THE MOST INDEBTED STATE AND I WONDER WHAT, WHAT AND WHAT HAS BEEN DONE AS COMPLETED PROJECTS UNDER FASHOLA'S WATCH. I MEAN HERE AND I KNOW HIS SUPPORTERS UNDERSTANDS ME VERY WELL, THAT FASHOLA IS NOT ACCOUNTABLE IN ANY WAY. HE COLLECTS FRIVOLOS TASKS FROM POOR CITIZENS, RESTRICTING THEIR MOVEMENT WITH HEAVY DUTIES EVEN WHEN MONIES HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFULLY BORROWED WITHOUT ANY EFFORT MADE TO PAY UP. THE QUESTION IS, THE OVER N60 BILLION HIS STATE GETS MONTHLY WHAT HAPPENS TO IT? HOW ARE THE FUNDS LAVISHED? HIS BUY OVERS WILL SAY LAGOS IS THE MOST POPULATED STATE AND NEEDS MUCH FUNDING, HOW IS THIS LIE TRUE? NO STATE GOVT. BUILDS DIFFERENT ROAD FOR DIFFERENT PEOPLE, HE DOESN'T FEED THE 20 MILLION CITIZENS IN HIS STATE,THEIR SOURCE OF ELECTRICITY IS PHCN THE FG PARASTATAL, THESE NUMEROUS PEOPLE HOUSE THEMSELVES, CLOTH THEMSELVES AND PAY VIRTUALLY FOR EVERY SERVICES THEY GET IN THE STATE. LAGOS STATE SCHOOL FEES ARE THE MOST EXPENSIVE WITH AN INFAMOUS INCREMENT OF 1000% FROM N25K TO N250K. THIS MAN HAS WAGED AN OPRESSIVE WAS AGAINST POOR OKADA RIDERS IN HIS STATE, LAWFULLY STEALING OVER 30 THOUSAND BIKES AND UNLAWFULLY SELLING THEM TO FARMERS IN OGUN AND SOME IN THE NORTHERN STATES. FASHOLA SHOULD FIRST CHRONICLE A WELL DETAILED ACCOUNT OF HIS NUMEROUS DUBIOUS ACTIVITIES, EXTORTIONS, INTERNATIONAL DEBT FRAUDS, VICTIMISATION OF THE POOR AND NON YORUBAS IN HIS STATE, ENSTRANGED GRUESOME LASTMA MURDERS, DECEPTIVE UTTERANCES, THEN HAVE GENUINE REPENTANCE AND MAKE RESTITUTION TO THE POOR HE HAS OPPRESSED AND KEPT PRISONERS ALL THE WHILE HE SERVED AS GOVENOR, THEN HE CAN HAVE PEACE IN RETIREMENT, ELSE GOD'S WRATH WILL OVERTAKE HIS HYPOCRISY AS HE GOES ABOUT RUNNING HIS WIDE TONGUE. STINKING LIAR.
Be careful what concerns you raise. Those who worship Fashola here on NL will never have you ask any such questions.
Fashola the action gov, is always performing. See no evil, say no evil. Infact, Fashola is a saint.

"20 yahoo boys arrested"? Makes little or no sense.
"20 political/Govt officials convicted". This make more sense.
PoliticsRe: Mark Urges Senators To Fast For Super Eagles Victory by Hardfact: 9:25pm On Jan 31, 2013
I'd rather the senate and even all Nigerians fast and pray that our looters/leaders in govt change and alleviate the suffering going on in Nigeria, even if the SuperEagles will have to lose.

PoliticsRe: Extremely Bad Portions On Lagos-badagry Road (pictures) by Hardfact: 7:42pm On Jan 30, 2013
Tragedy Naija. Sort of thing considered 'normal' in Nigeria. Neither the Fed nor even State govt thought even a temporal palliative measure of any sort was worthwhile, pending whenever they finally do sth more concrete. They'l rather keep mute and let commuters keep suffering the daily traffic mess the road is known for, like nothing so bad's really happening there. Despite the snailspeed expansion work coming from the Orile axis, which is taking years, it's most definitely not the best that can happen. . . .
PoliticsRe: Why Did Fashola Eradicate Okada And Leave Agberos?! by Hardfact:
Guess those street nuisance called Area Boys or whatever are somehow an essential component/part of the Lagos MegaCity. Of course, the AreaBoys are more tolerable and less dangerous than the Okadas who are less important and are expendable!

Relax, soon Fashola's birds on NL may come singing to you why/how they are always getting it right.
PoliticsRe: How We ‘re Rebuilding Abia – Orji by Hardfact: 2:51pm On Jan 30, 2013
Gov Orji should just quit talking and channel his resources to delivering. If he ends up performing any wonders it's common people on the street themselves will be the ones doing the talking for him.
As it stands now, Gov Orji's more or less a scam!

PoliticsRe: Ezekwesili Lied Shamelessly – Doyin Okupe by Hardfact:
Is Okupe saying that Ezekwesili lied shamelessy, and there's no basis to enter into a debate with her OR that he Doyin Okupe is paid to lie shamelessly to Nigerians and there's no basis for even a fool to believe him? huh BTW, oga Okupe should go face the debate challenge thrown at and stop beating about the bush, to show if he's stopped telling lies.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Video: Real Story Of Nigeria by Hardfact: 5:46pm On Jan 29, 2013
Krucifax: A very interesting and revealing documentary. I saw it last year before it was taken off Youtube for some copyright breach undecided

It's informative in explaining the source of a lot Ethnic and Tribal disharmony in Nigeria. It can be summed up by saying Nigeria is a geographical location patched up by the British and comprising of very different people with not a lot in common i.e (Religion,Culture,Beliefs).

The British being very clever and foreseeing the potential lack of co-operation(i.e a*se kissing and subservience) of the Southerners, carved out large regions in the North that would give an automatic political advantage to the North who would be more "co-operative".

Anyone in doubt should go and look at the map of Nigeria then you would understand why the North always feels an entitlement to political domination on account of sheer advantage in numbers and region. This the British thought would always ensure political domination for many years.

Sir Ahmadu Bello ( a highly intelligent and learned man)and so-called founding father, gave an interview in this documentary. I think every non-northerner should watch it and memorise it for life. It gives an insight into the thinking of the Northerner towards other non-northerners.
He believes that jobs in the North should go to only Northerners(regardless of merit and qualification),in the event no non-northerner can be found, and ex-pat(from another country) would be given precedence before a non-northerner!!! shocked It's not just dislike for non-northerners it is sheer contempt and hatred.

If he a founding father felt this way then it goes a long way to explain the many atrocities commited in the North towards non-northerners!

Then there was Awolowo's betrayal of the Igbos by his decision to seize their monies in the banks and give each Igbo a paltry sum regardless of original wealth after the Biafra War. Awolowo's action essentially meant that many Igbos that were previously very wealthy were made paupers overnight!
Then there was Awolowos's betrayal of the Yorubas by his decision to enter into a pact with the North.

Then there was Ojukwu's ill-advised decision to go to all out War. He was a military man,and thought a military solution was the best answer,it wasn't!
There was ethnic cleaning in the North of Igbos by Hausas and many thousands were murdered on account of just being Igbo!! A democratic solution would have worked better, lives would have being saved and assets remained. The Biafra War amongst other causes was chiefly caused by the mass murder of Igbos in the North. The dead were already that...dead!! There were many ways of dealing with these crimes and War wasn't one of them!

All in all Nigeria's original blue-print should have been left as it was,i.e Independent but associated regions North,West,East,South etc!! The drive to closer amalgamation is the source of our problems today. How can you make one team when different players think they should be captain and operate as such?? How can you form a group that have nothing in common and you want them to go in one direction?? The damage is done, our elders made a big mistake in my opinion and our generation and children will have to deal with the mess undecided
Where's this dude from? You seem not to sound like a regular Nlnder. Good attempt!
PoliticsRe: Buhari not too old to rule by Hardfact: 8:23am On Jan 29, 2013
noblezone: Yes na. Buhari is the only hope for Nigeria, both for today, tomorrow and forever! Without him, Nigeria has no HOPE.
The man must not exit this earth oooo, if he does, then it is better for all Nigerians (minus me and all my people) to exit with him.

Emm, fortunately for me, I am actually thinking of who will "lead Biafra" than who will "rule Nigeria".
Bros I dont mean to discuss Biafra here, is that your motivation for what you said?
PoliticsRe: Orji Is To Abia What Mandela Is To South Africa - Abia Commissioner by Hardfact: 7:59am On Jan 29, 2013
The commissioner who made that nice statement has just commissioned more contempt for the already contemptible gov.

The statement itself is to Abians what blasphemy against the holy prophet is to Bokoharam!

Well, I think Agbasiere meant "Gov T A Orji is to Abia, what Apartheid is South Africa". But let him still go see his psychiatrist, just in case.

PoliticsRe: Concede Presidency To South-East In 2015 — Ohanaeze by Hardfact: 9:27pm On Jan 27, 2013
CROWÉ: South west, South south, South east, North, Islam, Christianity, Fulani, Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Ijaw.

There are more things dividing us than there are uniting us, we share nothing really, no goals, no hopes. The very primary objective of any Nigerian government should be to encourage the people to feel truly Nigerian, something that we do not do. Yugoslavia, the Austrian Empire, Great Britain, history has shown us that being in one nation is not enough, we need to find common ground within that nation otherwise this crap is hopeless and we best be done with it.
One sensible comment amongst many. Please help me tell them. Our 'unity' is virtually not there in the first place. All these things are just symptoms of it.
PoliticsRe: Some Brainy Quotes By Obasanjo by Hardfact: 8:12pm On Jan 27, 2013
Let's just put all this Quotes sh.it aside. . .Oh dont tell me I'm stupid, 'cause already I know I am, but definitely not just stupid enough as to be caught singing the praises of Baba Obj who simply wasted 11years as president. . . Brainy indeed!
PoliticsRe: Some Brainy Quotes By Obasanjo by Hardfact: 3:01pm On Jan 27, 2013
Baba Obj, the best president Nigeria will ever have. If not for him the unity of Nigeria would have been lost at the war where he fought like none other, even more than the Ojukwu himself. Really brainy and full of wisdom. Unfortunate his good wisdom he never brought to bear in his callous reign where he just could not deliver, and which rather culminated into a 3rd term plot which nearly succeeded!

franchizy: In Aba Abia state, we ve 24hrs Electricity. Our God sent Gov T. A. Orji promised us light and he delivered. It is 4 dis reasons dat we Abians wil ever remain indebted to Gov. Orji who inspite of d huge debt he incured from d past administration, was still able to deliver in terms of Electricity and infrastructure. He is the only Gov who has painstakingly rehabilitated all major roads in Aba dat has brought joy in the heart of the people of Aba. On behalf of Abians and the our good party PDP, I say thank you sir.

bilms: HELL OF TRAIN

I took a train from ilorin to lagos to confirm the said transformation and guess what? It took me 21hours to reach Lasgidi from Ilorin. On top of that train, you would notice multitude of people, but guess what? Contrary to what people are saying, they didnt climb it for free, they paid equal money with those inside.

The railway staffs would sell 2500 tickets when the train can only accommodate 900 people and when the people that couldn't get a sit request for refund, they would say it is none refundable. full article coming soon
Bros Kpele. We still've got a long way to go. Nigerian govt: more you look, less you see.
