Ok o!

I schooled in one of the most prestigious Nigerian Universities...
I can however never allow my children School there!

I have interacted with young people trained in the West and the difference is 7up.

I was even in a presentation by a young chap in London today and it was obvious our young people here are sooooooo disadvantaged!

The guy was so confident, eloquent and did so well. I am sure we were all smarter than him, but the other skills necessary to succeed in life, he had honed very well.

My children will not slave for their mates. They will not feel intimidated in the comity of Nations...

Please, as long as you can afford it, please don't make your children school in a failed system.

Lol, suddenly he remembered the definition of an invention

ok, let me make it easy for you,

now show videos of Nigerian Phd Holders inventing something that has been invented before, pls show me let me see

A working prototype will be needed.
I dont need to indulge you.

I have never worked in Tech or the applied sciences but I know in Health, there is a lot of research by Nigerians-- with the little incentives available.

The gap between us and the West keeps increasing however because the system is shambolic.

Academics, the staunch ones, still research though.

Nonetheless, if you believe your brain is smaller than that of an Oyinbo, that's your business.

I am a professional and I can hold my own anywhere in the World.

A little self-belief ( on your part) might help your already depleted brain cells however.

i have just showed you, at least many of the inventions, they are using them for personal use, you can see the function

if you want one, you can call the inventor up and he will create a new one for you.
An invention means you were the first to do something.

If you think those people were the first to do those things then you must be living under a rock!

Is this the first time you will see these things?

interesting, apart from the govt budget for universities, it is govt that pays salaries and wages of lecturers not universities, so their no excuse that all expenditure for a university is recurrent

We also have private universities, what have they also produce. nothing

you are just an excuse giver

imagine if other countries were giving excuses like we do, i am sure they wont be where they are today.
The budget for Harvard University was 4.5billion dollars (about 1.4 trillion naira) in 2018 which is 3 times the budget for all Federal Universities in Nigeria ( put together)-- 331 billion naira.

we are both daft that is why we cant engineer an enabling environment.
Speak for yourself!

You think Bill gates just woke up one day and decided to make computers?

Or Steve Jobs woke up in Mushin and made the iPhone?

At the time when very few Universities had computers, Gates' high school had a top grade computer courtesy of their PTA (donations).
His family was upper middle class, hence he enjoyed certain benefits several millions of kids couldn't enjoy.

Jobs' Father indulged him so much, that he sold his house, so he could attend the high school he (Steve Jobs) wanted.

Is it someone whose kids have not eaten that will think research?

Will you dream of space travel when your family is starving?

Our researchers have now become 'Entrepreneurs' all in a bid to survive-- our country is poor and visionless, and so important sectors will suffer.

It is obvious you don't understand how life works-- you think people just stand up someday and succeed.
Self made men?!

Shior!

A man is the product of his environment, there are no self made people anywhere!
Rich people keep on producing rich children while the poor one's recycle poverty.

That's why Nigerians are travelling abroad and doing better than they would ever have done back home.

You need a very big springboard to jump from if you are disadvantaged and unfortunately many of us are.

Nigerians are one of the smartest on earth.

I was at the barbers recently and they were talking about Nigerians...
One of them said he wondered when he was in University, why they were still coming to school, as they always seemed to know everything way before the exams.

Another said there are now so many Nigerian professionals in London, who are doing well.

They all thought highly of Nigerians.

I changed jobs recently and when the Oga asked me where I was from, and I said Naija, he says, 'Nigerians are very smart, I have worked with them before, they pick up things very quickly!'

My colleagues don they use one Kain eye look me since then, but me I no send.

With the UK opening their country for immigrants, more people will emigrate and they will fit in easily despite the cultural differences.

Clue: it wasn't Lionel Messi who just won FIFA Best Player.

So Ronaldo should have won it based on the gibberish you typed?

"Before ronaldo went to real Madrid, Madrid already has over 10 champions league cup, before lionel messi Barca has 1" Two fallacies in a statement.Real has 9 European titles and the tenth one was looking like a jinx cos it took another 12 years from when they last won it in 2002.Barcelona won their second European tittle in 2006 with negligible input from messi. They coach Rijkaard didnt even deem it fit to play him in the final again against arsenal and left him on the bench all through.Ronaldo won 4 champions league trophies with active participation for Real while Messi won 3 of active involvement with Barca.
Messi was injured was why he didn't play.

Messi was phenomenal even in 2006, get your facts right bruv.

Nice write up, but u got it all wrong wen u said Argentina is a team to beat with Messi shocked. grin no be only. Argentina the really struggle bad with Messi. See Bolivia, Venezuela, Peru and Iceland matches against them for more details. The really I mean really! Really!! Struggle in the last World cup n Copa America. Argentina didn't struggle to qualify for COMMBOL without Messi, but struggled throughout the tournament with him. To me he is a liability to that team @ the moment. That 4 months banned he has is what it, so that Argentina can put there act together. No doubt Messi is a fantastic player, a monster footballer probably one of the greatest footballer of all time, but his national team struggle leaves me with with no doubt that about his short coming, to me he is not the perfect leader, even Barcelona fall in Europe against Roma & Liverpool can attest to that. Argentine national team are really struggling with his presence, maybe because of his reputation or talent.
And they qualified for the World Cup without him?

Dude don't burst an artery!

Ronaldo did not win Champions 3 times in a row in 2019.
He didn't achieve more at the World Cup ( at least not this year).

The award is for the person who played best over the year-- count all the trophies, you want, that's your business!

Did Ronaldo play better football asides Messi?

Messi stats were phenomenal over the year, and the votes say so.
