ENDSARS doesn't have to be scrap SARS. Just get them off the streets. They should only come out when there is a distress call for armed robbery or kidnapping, ONLY. Nothing more, nothing less. That is likely to happen, and that would be enough.

Meanwhile, who has travelled through the Lagos-Benin-Asaba axis lately? Are those SARS fools still running their illegal checkpoint on that expressway?

One must have very limited sense to be lumping fraud with violent crimes such as armed robbery and kidnapping in the context of SARS. If SARS - Special Anti ROBBERY Squad - is scrapped, there would be an increase in the rate of fraud, according to you. Does this make sense to you? What is the correlation between a special anti robbery squad and fraud? Soon you will deploy Road Safety officers or even the Nigerian Army to abandon their lawful duties and start pursuing perceived fraudsters. This kind of skewed and idiotic conflation of responsibilities is central to the endsars agitation.

Nobody has shouted end EFCC. It is the role of the EFCC to tackle fraudsters. Nobody has equally shouted Endsars because they have been tackling armed robbers and kidnappers. If they had concentrated on fighting armed robbers and kidnappers only (which is their ONLY LAWFUL responsibility), there would be no Endsars agitation today.

Think about it slowly and carefully so that you would not make stupid assertions.

It is truly sad and a reflection of how disorganised things are in Nigeria that a discussion about the excesses of 's Special Anti ROBBERY Squad is somehow deflected to focus on perceived Internet fraudsters.

There are fundamental issues that need to be addressed in order for Biafra to happen and to make sense, but these issues are too vexed and too complicated to satisfactorily address in the near future. That's why I have always insisted that there is no need for Biafra, Niger Delta Republic, Oduduwa Republic, etc.

A Republic of Southern Nigeria is sufficient for now. Just cut off the Jihadist Fulani/abokki North and trust me, the rest of Nigeria would blossom in spite of its numerous ethnicities. That is a more practicable option than disintegration into several micro republics.

You're very daft. What is the duty of SARS? If the issue here is cybercrime, what does SARS have to do with cybercrime? Does Nigeria not have agencies whose responsibilities cover Internet crime (e g EFCC)?

The best way is to mandate members of the public to report sightings of SARS or any tactical units anywhere doing patrols or mounting roadblocks, and for the immediate dismissal of the commanding officer/DPO/Area Commander overseeing that unit.

We don't want to see SARS or any special unit at all at all again. All policemen on routine duty should wear their uniforms with name tags.
