Liftedhands: Maureensylvia the people that contacted you what prove (asides your perception of her Fb profile) did they give you to seal your mind that she is fraud?
All the same do what please you none can force your hand to do what you don't want to do.
Blank has refused to back up her accusations seriously cant understand why The fact is blank has no evidence or proof to suggest Dunamit is a con. The only slight similarity between Pourtmout and Dunamit is their writing style - the both do not use paragraphs in between their posts. Everything is just sentences with no breaks. This is the only thing she can pick on. However, there are still major differences in their writing styles. One uses abbreviations, for example, "once" written as "1ce" while the other spells everything out in full. Dunamit has been very consistent with her writing style - right from her first post with her moniker down to the email she sent me. Myself, alphahandmaiden and onegai have similar writing style. But does that mean we are the same person?? Hell no!!! Besides, her previous posts and questions on this thread and the pregnancy thread are all proof that's she's female and not a man like Pourtmout. Her Facebook profile also confirms she is female and she has a child. People used to be so accommodating towards people genuinely in need on this forum. What happened I was expecting some mums based in Jos to volunteer to meet up with Dunamit, verify her claims and then we all can rally around her and support her using the little we have. |

ozycy: I saw a post about how to make baby rice and also corn. My question is, is there no way to make the baby rice/corn to be just like the packaged ones so when I want to feed baby, I don't have to cook with a pot rather I will just use warm water and prepare like packaged cereals.
Can we also make baby milk ? Lol (I know the answer to this question but I need more answers lol) cos it's baby milk that's even the most expensive I buy Aptamil 900g and sometimes it doesn't even last up to 2 weeks. This "change" era is not even helping matters atall. My sabi mamas over to you. This is like asking for the recipe for Kellogg's corn flakes and peak evaporated milk In addition to what soonest has said, these baby meals are fortified at the right quantity with various essential nutrients needed by a baby. They've also gone through rigorous testing. The fact remains that having children ain't cheap and there's always one cost/expenses or another. The trick to not feeling the "financial squeeze" especially for first time parents is to deny yourself of one basic "need/luxury" you were used to before you had your baby and then replace it with the cost of your baby's essentials. For example, I loveeeeeee lipsticks and I have got a lot of them - different shades and brands. I will just walk into a store, sit down and start trying different shades and I will always walk out with at least two. A MAC lipstick costs much more than a tub of Aptamil, so do the maths. I have since stopped the habit. Yours might be refusing to buy asoebi for an event because the cost of the fabric + tailoring will pay for 3 tubs of aptamil. It also might be opting for wigs rather than "sew in" (wigs are cheaper on the long run than going to the salon every 2 weeks). So just sit down and think of one personal "need/luxury" and cross it off your list. |

Jesusbaby1 Sighs! First someone claims she's Pourtmout. Now you are claiming that just because she appears "okay" from her pictures, she's obviously not in need of cash. I did check her out on Facebook and honestly by my own standards, without any disrespect, she's not by any means someone I would class a "bigz galz" or living the fairy tale lifestyle. Pictures have never and will never be the best way of judging a person's finances. Besides, people can be "comfortable" today and then something happens (loss of job, bad business decision, etc) and then they end up struggling and living from hand to mouth. I have seen instances where people are all smiley and shining on the outside when behind closed doors, all the have for dinner everyday of the week is eba with no hope of where the next meal will come from. Personally, I have had to bail friends out with good jobs just because something came up and they were out of cash before the next pay day. Things are hard for many people and pictures/Facebook posts are not the best way to judge or reach a conclusion on a person's current financial status. I have also had my own "broke" moments. The fact remains that she has come to this forum to ask for help. She has used her real name and details. That alone takes a lot of guts!! Whatever she needs the funds for - baby clothes, food for her baby, a new pair of shoes, makeup, asoebi- it's her headache. Whatever it is that she needs money for, it takes desperation and a case of "no option else" to come online to ask annoymous people to help out. If you want to help her, please do and leave her to her conscience. If not, please ignore. |

Caveatemptor: This woman is a Book Haram apologist speaking from both sides of her mouth. According to her she never met Shekau face to face but said Shekau was the one always preventing her from Seeing the lat Mohammed Yusuf. How?
She glibly defends the Book Haram kidnap of the Chinook girls and conveniently blames the failure of the rescue of the girls on Michelle Obama holding up a bbog sign. No Madam Aisha, I refuse to be fooled. What of the school boys the blood thirsty savages called Book Haram slaughtered in Buni Yadi? They shot those school boys and burnt all the survivors inside the hostel. This happened a few weeks before Chinook abductions. Who are you going to blame for that terrorist act? What of the terrorist Book Haram bombing of the United Nations building in Abuja or the bombing of the Nigeria Police headquarters in Abuja or the bombings of motor parks and markets by these blood thirsty terrorist savaged called Book Haram? The journalist asking her questions failed in his duty. This woman needs to be questioned very well! Of course the bitshhh is a boko haram apologist. Imagine her having such access to those terrorists yet Jonathan and his entire security/defence team did nothing about it. She needs to be dragged by the tittiesss and questioned. There's a lot more that she hasn't confessed to/disclosed. |

This interview further proves just how incompetent and useless the entire government of goodluck Jonathan was. The had sufficient intelligence to stage a covert operation to rescue those girls but the ogogoro master did absolute nothing. When is he getting dragged to The Hague? Surely, there must be some sort of punishment meted out to his likes |

Osyabj: Rubish. The real enemy of Nigeria is the pdp, pipeline terrorist, Jonathan, who as Ms Wakil said were making blood money of the Boka haram and lives of nearly 95% Christian girl-children. Here are the facts: 1) The wicked soul, Jonathan, alone, cancelled the deal to release the Chibok girls 2 months into their captivity
2) Jonathan did that SOLELY to share the 40 million dollars voted for their release/
May 27, 2014 Vanguard: Jonathan’s call stopped last minute deal to free girls—Report
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/05/jonathans-call-stopped-last-minute-deal-free-girls-report/
"BUT for a last minute change of mind by President Goodluck Jonathan, the abducted Chibok girls would have been freed, UK media reported yesterday." “One hundred non-combatant, low-level sympathisers were to be freed and the two groups brought together in a convoy of buses accompanied by a hand-picked go-between, respected Nigerian journalist Ahmad Salkida. The plan had been agreed in tortuous negotiations in response to worldwide outrage over a night-time raid on a school in the town of Chibok on April 14 when the girls were abducted from their dormitories.
May 21, 2016: Tukur & Jonathan Shared $35M Meant For Chibok Girls Release
https://www.nairaland.com/3120059/tukur-jonathan-shared-35m-meant/1
Mr. Tukur reportedly received $40 million from the office of the National Security Adviser after he boasted that he was in a position to negotiate the release of the abducted Chibok girls using some contacts in Chad, including Chadian President Idriss Deby.
However, the EFCC sources said the ostensible negotiation were botched from the very beginning by Mr. Tukur's deceptive moves. For example, President Déby reportedly received only $5 million from Mr. Tukur, who then helped himself to $35 million.
One EFCC source said the former presidential aide has claimed that he shared the bulk of the "negotiation" funds with his boss, Mr. Jonathan. Even if Jonathan confesses on CNN that he's solely responsible for the abduction of the chibok girls, most of these scallywags still won't believe. Imagine some scallywags are still insisting that chibok was and is still a scam. These same scallywags relish at every opportunity they have to abuse and insult Oby Ezekwesili. One day and Very soon, she will be vindicated. It's a known truth that Jonathan and his cohorts have a lot of blood on their hands regarding this chibok issue. Many of his "associates" made millions/billions of dollars from the whole chibok situation. |

I once slept over in a house with pvc ceiling and then it started to rain. Omg!!! I thought it was a major major rainstorm with the roof about to crash. I opened the window expecting to see torrential rainfall with everywhere flooded. Lo and behold, it was mere drops/tickles of rain. ozycy: Sabi mamas, is there anything like the bolded? Enque, shee na mistake you make? Exclusive breastfeeding for one whole year I think that term EBF has been used/abused in the wrong context. Many mums do not know that "exclusive" breastfeeding means breastmilk ONLY. No water. No glucose. No ogi. Some mums start feeding their babies ogi and Amala Ati ewedu from 6 months, but just because they are still combining breastfeeding with it, they term it EBF for one year. It's been said everywhere that from 6 months, a baby needs more than breast milk for their nutrition and healthy growth. I do not see how a baby can be exclusively breastfed for 12 whole months ( I mean exclusive - no water, no solids) without such baby being underweight at 12 months. By 8 months, most babies want to eat what you are eating. My son at 11 months inserted his fist into my bowl of amala in anger just because I refused to feed him the amala (I believe "swallows" should be introduced after 12 months). I was forced to share my fish with him (e no kuku sabi the difference. As long as it's from my plate, he's happy). In summary, NO, I do not believe that a baby can be fed just breast milk (no water, no solids) for an entire 12 months !!! Mothers that claim such are being economical with the truth. |

Favouredmom: Pls I want to ask for those who already bought avent products, which one is advisable? The Avent 3 in 1 electric steam steriliser or the Philips avent microwave steam steriliser. Also does the microwave one come with the 4 bottles or I have to buy the bottles seperately?
Also will I need to buy a thermal flask and if yes, what brand is very good in the market ?
Thank you mamas Cc beyedew, Mitchyy, AlphaHandMaiden 3 in 1 electric is the best. With the microwave steriliser, you have to measure your microwave and compare with the size of the steriliser to check if it fits. There were various reviews with people complaining that the microwave steriliser was bigger than their microwave and this was the major reason why I opted for the avent electric. I bought the newborn bottles starter kit. It comes with 4 bottles (2 big ones , 2 small ones), bottle brush and pacifier. I then bought an extra pack of 3 bottles (big ones). I have been using all 7 since birth till date. Please note that at 7 months mark or so, I replaced four teats with size 4 teats, kept in storage all the size 1 teats and I still use three size 2 teats. Few months ago, I saw an avents 3 in 1 electric steriliser combo with bottles. I think it was newly launched. You can check it out and see if this suits you. Go with thermos flask. Buy that of 1 litre. Also buy a small stainless steel flask as this is useful in his diaper bag for feeding when you are outdoors (church, market, etc).

mompurity2: I had to read d instruction on the tin again and confirmed that m measuring it correctly, 1:30. Pls confirn . thanks ma. Sorry @ previous post. With 1:30, you are not going a scoop less. So go a scoop less and see if it works for you. You can do like mum zaynie and increase the number of feeds per day by +1. Do that for a week or two and if no changes, then switch formula. For example, right now my son is on between 100ml-120ml but I always use 3 scoops rather than 4 for 120ml or 3+ for 100ml. I have applied the same rule of thumb since birth. So just use your discretion and amend accordingly. The instructions on the tin is only a "recommended guide" and parents can tweak as they wish. |
