IamOpemipo:As in eh. Very shitty. I'm just being polite hence the mark of 2. |
Very disappointing album. Apart from "hey stranger" and "katapot", the other songs are just wack. Sounds like the album was put together hurriedly by an amateur. I score the album 2 out of 10. ![]() |
interesting thread. very little is discussed about plastic surgery. i am currently undergoing treatments with a plastic surgeon using CO2 lasers to get rid of a birthmark on my body. Long overdue as such treatments could'nt be done while i was pregnant. its been an interesting journey. it started with a referral from my amazing GP to the dermatologist where after examination, i had super HD pictures taken and finally the plastic Surgeon+more pictures/examination. i also had a biopsy done. anyway, i am loving the results so far. i wish i could share pictures of the mark 'before' and 'after' ![]() |
SirVintageCock:You are right. The "Hebrew woman" slogan does my head in. I came across a post two days ago where a guy was bragging about how his wife gave birth the "Hebrew woman way" and how she is a "strong Hebrew woman". You can imagine the guy bragging to friends and family? How does he think those that have experienced c-section births will feel? Those without children already have it ingrained in them thanks to his comments that "their wives must do it the Hebrew way" and "God forbid c-section". I sat down and thought - so what about the women that gave birth via c-section? Are they "Jamaican women" or "Galilean women"? Are such women "weaklings"? It's this "shaming" of c-section mums that makes many women shun this option even after professional advice from their doctors. C-section mums are judged as "less prayerful", "lazy", "too posh to push", "less spritual" and "they must be paying for their sins" or "facing spritual attack" to have undergone this method of delivery. This attitude and perception just has to stop. Nigerians can sometimes be too judgemental. I'm yet to see any child's birth certificate where the method of delivery has been stated. So why the fixation on "Hebrew woman style"? I really commend the OP for honestly sharing his experience. I'm sure a lot of people have learnt from it. God will wipe away his tears and bless/compensate his wife in ways she never expected. Amen. |
cococandy:There is a way doctors can smartly coerce a woman into making the right decisions. If the doctor had stood her grounds and painstakingly explained ALL the risks involved with prolong labour and allowing the twins go full term, maybe the woman would have changed her mind. As she had gone overdue, she should have been going daily to the hospital to have fetal movements checked. If this was done, the doctors would have been able to detect reduced fetal movements with one of twins and quickly intervened (c-section). I wonder if the dead baby wasn't detected before the prolonged labour. I doubt it was which further questions the credibility of the hospital and it's medical team. If they had detected one heart beat and not two at the time she was brought into the hospital, why put her through the agonies of a long, painful labour? C-section should have been carried out at that stage. |
BomboyOnline:You've said it all. The medical team (gynaecologist, midwife, doctor and nurse) didn't try at all. With multiples, between 36-38 weeks, they are scheduled for c-section. In some countries, the c-section is mandatory at that stage as no sane doctor will want to risk his reputation and supervise vaginal delivery for multiples at over 40 weeks. |

cckris:See yourself ! Smh. Thank goodness Oluwafunmilayo Ransome Kuti is a Yoruba woman. I can only imagine her fate if she had been Igbo. This is a woman who braved the odds, challenged men and became the first woman in nigeria to drive a car. A woman that stood solidly against the Nigerian government and was a thorn in the backside of several governments including her fellow "egba" kinsman, Obasanjo? Yet she won accolades from all Yoruba men and women. She was never accused of losing her "dignity" just because she stood up and her voice was heard loud and clear. Having compared the treatment meted out to both women from their respective tribes, I'm very proud of my Yoruba roots. |
Zikdik:The feeling is mutual ![]() |
datola:This only further confirms the mess with the former president's regime. People flying up and down, all expenses paid using government funds/tax payers money. Money that can best be utilised for other things. I'm glad that the days of impunity are over. ![]() |
bulletproofmonk:99.99% of those attacking this woman are Igbos. It's really unfortunate. She's been insulted and called all sorts of names by her own kinsmen and women just because she is standing for justice. Such behaviour can NEVER be found with the Yorubas. Oby is not responsible for GEJ's electoral loss. Some people need to understand this fact and leave this woman alone. Chibok or not - the Hausas would never have voted for him because of the whole boko haram mess. Is Oby to blame for the boko haram menace? I can just imagine if someone like Funmilayo Kuti was from their part of nigeria. They would have abused and insulted her for daring to stand up to the Nigerian government, daring to drive a car like a man (she is the first woman in nigeria to drive a car) and also called and abused all her great kids (fela, beko and koye) all sort of names. |
daremoore:I agree. If yissi goes ahead with this plan, he's really going to regret it once he starts living inside the house. I mean, who places a kitchen between two bedrooms ? A first year university student with basic understanding of Architecture 101 can come up with a much better plan. |
The picture quality is bad though so I can't really see the dimensions. Wait! Is that a toilet located within the veranda So guests or anyone will have to step outside to use the loo This alone is proof that this plan was drawn by a "draftsman" and not a qualified/well trained architect. The guest toilet should be accessible via a door from inside the sitting room without stepping outside to the veranda so ask your guy to change that. What is the size of the land? Why is the shop attached to the main building Can't it be constructed as a stand-alone small structure? Even if it's part of the main building, why is it linked to the master bedroom? That alone is just all shades of wrong. You should be able to have a good view from the master bedroom but the shop has blocked that. What is the kitchen doing between two bedrooms ? That's wrong!! The kitchen should be well ventilated and located before any bedroom but as close to the sitting room/dining rooom as possible. Tell your guy that you are not happy with what he has come up with. Tell him your concerns and ask him to come up with something else/better. |
He needs to: 1) lose some weight 2) hire a stylist ASAP He's still got the voice |
The fact is that Nigerian banks share a large portion of the blame regarding the poor performance of nigeria's shipping sector. How many of them actually offer competitive trade finance products? How many of them have fully functional trade finance/shipping departments? What financial support do they offer to shipping companies, brokers, etc? Shipping is a billion dollar sector but our banks will rather focus on retail banking and keep chasing individuals up and down for deposits. Nigeria's banking system needs a complete overhaul. The economy cannot thrive if the banks do not get their priorities right and shift focus from retail banking. |
Awww. Love is such a beautiful thing ! Love can make the sanest guy go crazy, do the craziest things and go to any length for his woman. ![]() I hope she forgave him though. ![]() |
jamesibor:Stop yarning nonsense. When the Igbo guy was beheaded on Kano in 1993, was Buhari president? The infamous riots over Bonnke's crusade in Kano during the 90s - was Buhari president then? |
If we ignore its societe generale roots, for a bank that only just "recently" acquired its banking license (2012) and began trading about 3 years ago (2013), this is serious cause for concern. It's times like this that one can't but question CBN's judgement. Why issue new commercial/retail banking license when that sector of banking is already saturated in nigeria ? As for the bank itself, what exactly was their business plan/model? How were they expecting to sustain their huge wage bill and remain profitable? So many questions. Banking in nigeria is seriously messed up ! |
hUmaneOne:Oh okay. I really doubt if ibori will adopt a "political godfather" when he returns to nigeria. A lot of people will ensure it never happens. |
hUmaneOne:Absolutely Impossible. He cannot compete for any election in nigeria because he is a confirmed/certified ex-convict. The minute ibori steps his foot in nigeria, he is going to get arraigned in a court by EFCC. He had an ongoing case before he eloped from nigeria. His current jail term in the UK is just part 1. He has part 2 to face in nigeria. The British charges which he is currently in jail for his totally different from his charges/offences in nigeria. There's no way he is going to get presidential pardon. Buhari is not GEJ who was so foolish to have granted presidential pardon to alamieyeseigha |
preshyk:What's your skin type? Dry, oily or normal? Do you have sensitive skin? This will determine the cream you use. That said, dove exfoliating bar is highly recommended. Did you see neutogena lotions? I personally prefer neutrogena to dove |
preshyk:Simple. Buy from a very reputable supermarket. "so white" soap sounds like one of those whitening/bleaching soap ![]() |
okpor2:Very valid point. Those goats constitute nuisance in ekiti state. |
Very notorious road. Oil workers in PH can attest to this. The sad thing is that the bus would have been accompanied by an armed escort car. |
Orikinla:Exactly. He is extremely extremely lucky. |
Nihilist Sorry but I have to do this. I have followed your diary from your very first post. Yes, I'm one of your e-fans I find your diary blunt, witty, honest, intelligent and very interesting. Thanks for sharing the link on India, Facebook and its net neutrality campaign. It was a long read but very interesting and enlightening. I wish people's eyes will open in nigeria and see the bigger picture behind this whole PR campaign. |
One hit wonder #classicmanI ask again. How many guns and ammunition did he fly in with this time ![]() Why is he wearing a hat? He's ashamed to show off his "relaxed" hair? ![]()

Damn |
Abike is aging so gracefully. She's the Vice President of Nigeria 2027 ![]() Beloved daughter of the South West. Doing us proud since her NTA/newsline days ![]() |
Dude doesn't need the job His dad/family own a private hanger at the Lagos airport where they rake in millions daily. His dad should be probed. He is also responsible for the rot in the aviation sector. |
