I no longer believe in religion or going to church, this development is quite surprising due to my upbringing in a staunch Deeper life Christian home.

I find myself laughing sometimes unconsciously when someone mentions prayers as a solution to a problem.
Maybe this is due to the fact that I've prayed and fasted for years for a financial breakthrough but all to no avail.

When I see people that are less religious or morally corrupted doing well and presiding over the overly religious people, I feel bad the more.

I don't wanna believe anymore in chopping life for heaven, I wanna Live a good life also here on Earth.

I hope I'm not going over the board?
I hope everything is still normal with me?

The Bible compels us to work sir. Prayers is to make all spiritual hinderance go away, but the physical side would be done by us. I believe the reason God created flesh and bone is for work

We could pray for Jobs, but what matters the most according to the scriptures is eating and having clothes

Why should a book intended for learning also paint a portray of nudity in it. We are at a point in this country where rape has become a menace, Uwa, Barakat and thousand of untold cases out there. Only God knows if this contents was snapped by one of their staffs at the company. Evidently, one of those staffs who fantasize about ladies and would demand for sex from female employee. Only God knows how many victims has fallen into their hands and probably the lady in the picture might be one of them.

Is this how we are helping innocent children learn better? It's very sad the people you have on your team and the kind of contents they put out there.

We have kids of about 4 and above being exposed to this nudity just right in front of their eyes while they are in classrooms. Should this be done considering the kind of children parents are looking forward to raising.

one of the requirements for the coming of Jesus was that Jesus (God) must come with a body. God came to free man from the yoke they have been held under when they ate they forbidden.

Good morning Nairalanders. I just woke up this beautiful Saturday morning with this weird dream. I was exercising on a lonely straight tarred road . I'm the only one exercising at that moment, beside the road are school buildings for pupils. At that moment, school has closed and no pupil can be sighted inside or outside the school. All of a sudden, I saw a child crying screaming for help and pointing at his parents car up ahead which I sighted it. Here's what scares me most :. No matter how hard I tried carrying the child, I can't, if I tried backing the child, I won't be able to move. The child keep crying and pointing to his parents car ahead that I should help, I still tried pushing the boy but still he didn't move. That's how I woke up scared.

Please does this means anything or it's just a normal nightmare!!

But I believe it might hace something to do with helping people through prayers. Are you the prayerful type? The child was only interested in you helping his parent, but you were concerned with helping the child, it means God is sending you to mature Christians or preaching the gospel on a larger scale and not just on a liberal level. what you feel about the whole scenario, God might be comforting her in all her troubles and that's all that matters.

One among the many bail conditions of Omoyele Sowore of which is restricting him to Abuja and not addressing the public has caused many Nigerians to see him in a different light. Lagos is what it is, because of its proximity to the seaport, so also is the border to many communities, town and villages which have existed close to it. The border closure to those living very close to the border is more like shutting down the seaport in Lagos. Sure, transport workers would be affected, those who earn a living around the port would surely lose their businesses, the rich would become poor, likewise the poor become poorer.

15 out of the 36 States in Nigeria has communities which has since it's origin built their day to day living around the border. Either those who specialize in transporting goods from the borders, to those who Warehouse them, to those who haulage the goods to and fro between the vehicles and the warehouse to Mama-Put who is waiting for the labourers to retire to her shed as they celebrate their day pay, to the business man who lodged in an hotel monitoring the goods to ensuring they are intact, to the mechanic who prays one of those vehicles running haulage comes to service their vehicle, to the spare part seller, to the provision sellers that believes more money in circulation would stimulate her business and the little kid who was driven from school hoping his parents would have made enough sales to pay a part of his school fee, to the principal, teachers, printer, tutorial coach and the list is endless.

Then it hits them so hard that the border where their incomes comes from been closed. At first, everyone keeps hoping high, hoping the border closure won't last more than few days, everyone is smiling not knowing the kind of situation and mess that lies ahead. Spendings are still as though nothing happened. Hopes are high, expectations and optimism eventually losing momentum like a spinning fan which has been disconnected from electricity. The longer their hopes linger, the more their ability to stay hopeful fades. Hope deferred makes the heart sick.

As times goes on, businesses fold up, the town's become deserted, loans cannot be paid, properties are confisticated, dehumanizing thoughts rage, people take to drugs to subside tension and griefs. The young boy who gets enough income to sustain himself has no where to run to. Crimes in the society begins to be on the rise and as he tune to his television having ran out of DSTV subscription, he finds on NTA a well dressed man with nice trimmed beard saying to him, how the border closure has boost production in his company. Its merely a scenario of Peter robbing Paul the poor boy reflects as he feel the whole narrative was a scam. While Peter is lamenting seeking media attention to express his ordeal. The media are after Paul who is rejoicing that the economy is booming since that's the purpose of their existence.

Comparative advantage was one of those favorite topic my economics mind would never forget, in comparative advantage, we are told that, its better that a country produce a goods if its final price would be lesser or equal to that from another location.

So far so good, ever since the closure of the border, cost of rice has skyrocketed despite the fact that the quality of the locally produced rice is lower and the stones which are a bonus too.

Well, I am not really against border closure, at least why do we have leaders if they can't come up with policies. At least, policies are policies whether they favour the dying man or not. But my bullseye is this, now that the border has been closed. How would those who are affected survive?
