Neoteny:People have been paying tithe before your mohammed got his so called revelation of islam so shut up. I hope you say this load of bs when muric comes to spout nonsense. Being fleeced is way better than strapping themselves unto a bomb in hopes of 72 virgins whose virginity would be renewed everyday. |
Good. Nigeria is a very sensitive country so dont do thing that can easily be miscontrued. |
timay:I never said the children were studying accounting. I never said UI offers Accounting either |
TheVictorious:Words of wisdom. University administrators and the politicians who built the universities and caused the rot flee the unis with speed. Same with the registrar of Delsu. He enrolled his child in priv uni away from the rot they allowed prevailed in state universities... Normally, a person leaving UI to study in Babcock should be like a case of someone who works at Oxford uni but is applying to University Of Lancaster. It shouldn't make any sense but unfortunately it is already making sense. |
ABIOLAXYZ:So how do you expect chukwudi from Imo state to pass the test. Let us try something, why don't we change that Arabic questions to Jewish Hebrew which is also just a language and let us see what the hypocrites would do. fiizznation:I'm sorry for you. What has been the benefit of Islam to Germany. You keep talking of how fast you are replicating but fail to tell us how many lives have been terminated due to the foolish migrant experiment of the west. How many people have been blown to bits, mowed by trucks and raped gruesomely? Islam is a plague to Europe, it has turned a once peaceful continent into a zone of bloodbath. The Europeans failed to learn from Africa and Asia what the destructive power of Islam could do. Unfortunately, they are now learning by experience. With less than 10% population the Muslims have turned Europe upside down. Theyve made Sweden the rape capital of the world, Germany, the explosion capital of Europe and France, the human truck mowing capital. The West made the mistake of equating Islam and Christianity thinking Islam was going to evolve just like Christianity. But oh my, they are in for a rude shock! Future generations would bless the European countries that quickly stemmed the migrant tide of Islam, the Japan and South Korea are the future peaceful places for all man kind because it is still rid of Islam. |
princfred:Reason why I have objected to the unilateral secession of any southern state. Our almost equal population is our saving grace in Nigeria. If by chance the east or south south leaves Nigeria. That shake in population balance would spell doom for whatever non Muslims are left in the nation. Unfortunately most Christians are so called progressives and it would be too late to even push back the Islamic agenda when they eventually wake up... Islam has no other pathway to proliferation except it cojoins herself with politics/governance. Which means govt got to build the mosques, fund the hajj, create shariah law, create Islamic police etc. |
CodeTemplar:I guess the dude has a thing for Babcock university. Three of his children schools in Babcock. He also did his MSc in Babcock university. http://www.orijoreporter.com/uis-deputy-bursar-flamboyant-lifestyle-revealed/ |
Nigeria was well on a path to islamization until Christians woke up. Visited LASUTH today and was asking why a PRIVATELY owned Bola Ahmed Diagnostic center was doing inside a state govt property. Then became more incensed on seeing a gigantic mosque within the premises. If this were zamfara I would understand. But a multicultural states with a well diversed religious population These are some of the BS some of us would still revisit getting into govt. If Muslims want an islamized hospital then they should build one personally like the catholics did and stop making it seem like they are first class citizens... Religious houses have no business inside government properties. If you want a religious - themed hospital then build one privately... How do you want me as a non Muslim to understand Arabic enough to pass it... These Islamic entitlement towards politics/governance is what is causing horror for non Muslims all over the world... |
"The inclusion of Arabic Studies in the recent Nigeria Police Force NPF recruitment Test is highly unacceptable. Some forces just want to score political marks by trying to impress the president and divide us as a people. This administration and all agents that want to divide us should be seriously warned as it is too late to turn Nigeria into an Islamic State. We therefore reject the NPF recruitment Test and ask for it to be re-written without the inclusion of Arabic Studies in it."----------Bishop David Oyedepo, President of Living Faith Church Worldwide https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=232545984179185&id=226796954754088 Lalasticlala codetemplar

CodeTemplar:He bagged a doctorate in accounting |
JOY AS UI BURSAR, MICHAEL ALATISE BAGS Ph.D Henceforth, the University of Ibadan Bursar, Michael Alatise should be addressed as Dr. Michael Alatise as he today bagged Doctorate Degree in Accounting from Babcock University. University of Ibadan community was fully represented with the UI Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abel Idowu Olayinka leading others to honour Dr. Alatise whose joy knew no bounds as his friends and well-wishers besieged the university to share in the joy of the man fondly called "Alert" The pictures accompanying this story tell the story. Among those who were at the occasion included Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SS Ladsom Engineering Company, Prince Adeniyi Oladeinde, among others... https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10214631333989905&id=1019201566 Lalasticlala CodeTemplar TheVictorious

Jaideyone:CU has 10 undergrad hostels(peter, Daniel, Esther, Deborah, john, Joseph, Lydia, dorcas etc.) on campus which houses all students on campus. Each carries about 600 students. While the two PG halls carries 540 students. So I don't think Unilag has more hostels than cu. Cc CodeTemplar |

Gourdoinc:Stfu you swine pig. I'm sure you are one of those hell bound criminals who abuse ladies in higher institutions. Is Nigeria the only country with unserious students who don't read? why are the unserious students in saner climes not harrassed and threatened by those who are expected to be their mentors both academically and morally? Nigeria is unfortunate to have ppl like you as citizens. Pls if you have nothing good to say shut your opinion into the sewage you call a throat and stop spilling garbage on social media.... |
I knew itbwas finished when ASUU protested against the bill to specifically punish universities with cases of sexual abuse. Saying it would be infringing on the autonomy of university. |
Ogun is seriously benefitting from the Lagos corridor in all aspects. Then the fact that it houses most church headquarters has influenced the heavy presence of private universities. Lalasticlala |
1newnairalander:Yes yes this is very true! Heard of it yesterday. Awesome news Lalasticlala FP please. |
Political Correcteness culture has sipped into the Vatican big time.... From God made gays homosexuals to Islam and terrorism are not same. I really weep for very conservative Catholics because the identity and values of the catholic church is being put to the test. I hope Vatican does not get the Canterbury treatment from the African bloc. |
I have always suspected this would happen even before this public hearing took place and I'm even more saddened that churches are begging for Tetfund. Now the funny thing is folks from Ansarudeen also begged for Tetfund because many of their universities are on one leg too, and even worse off than the church own but the idea that church universities would benefit more is reason for these folks to jettison the whole idea. Churches be prosperous, be prosperous! And stop begging govt to help run schools they never forced us to establish. Just leave the entire education sector to govt and let them continue failing woefully at it. |
HigherEd:I knew it... Kukuma say the whole truth and stop hiding. ... The fear has always been that churches are the most invested in the education sector, therefore if privates are funded under Tetfund it could sip into the hands of church universities mostly... With this line of thought and threat these people just subtly jettisoned the whole idea of giving supportive funds to aid private unis. Another issue is that Northern Nigeria does not have many universities. The only functional private university in Northwest, Alqalam university(Islamic) by the way receives funding from the state govt. So this title should read Funding For Private Unis rejected For Fear It would Benefit Southerners And Christians More. |
Sule are they(privates) asking you to build buildings for them? Or just to contribute to research and capacity devt of staff. |
ASUU, TETFund, CVC, NUC Reject Amendments to TETFund Act Abuja — The clamour to amend clause 72a and 73 of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) Act 2011 and expand its scope of intervention has again suffered a major setback as stakeholders vehemently rejected any change to the law. The stakeholders are Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Committee of Vice Chancellors (CVC), TETFund and the National Universities Commission (NUC). Two separate bills proposing the amendments had passed first and second reading in the House of Representatives and came up for public hearing on Monday where stakeholders tersely spurned the amendments as an attempt to weaken the impact of TETFund. The bills seek to expand TETFund interventions to private universities by about 10 per cent of all the two per cent company taxes collected; and to federal tertiary health institutions and teaching hospitals by 17.5 per cent of the taxes. Speaking at a public hearing held in the House Committee on Tertiary Education Services, the National President of the ASUU, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, said private universities are private enterprises which should be contributing to TETFund and not drawing from it. Ogunyemi argued that allowing private universities to benefit from TETFund would violate the essence of establishing the fund which is to get private sector to contribute to funding of education through education tax. "How can we be deploying public funds to support private investment? They are charging fees and making profit and they are coming back to say they want to draw from public funds?" he said. He warned that 40 out of the 74 private universities, representing about 54 per cent of private universities, were faith-based and encouraging them to draw from TETFund will open another window of national crisis. The ASUU president also argued on the lack of geopolitical spread of the institutions as over 70 per cent of the universities are concentrated in two or three zones of the country which will further raise eyebrows about government using public funds to support private universities in some geopolitical zones. On the bill to fund tertiary hospitals, he said the National Assembly in the 2018 budget, actualised the one per cent consolidated revenue fund allocated to the health sector as stipulated in the National Health Act of 2014 which should give the health sector enough fund to take care of teaching hospitals that are strictly under the Federal Ministry of Health. http://allafrica.com/stories/201805300701.html Lalasticlala |
writerights:Yea I won't recommend the likes of Bowen or Jabu trying to even subsidize anything too. Jabu reportedly has been having issues paying salaries of recent. Bowen still houses students for six in a room, while Madonna houses 10 ppl/room reportedly. This means subsidy could spell doom for those universities. I think what LFC can do is too expand the reach of DOF scholarships to accommodate more brilliant but indigent members of the church. Thankfully secular scholarship boards are also now coming to fund many people in CU |
You can't take someone's child to orphanage for not paying bills. You would pay far more in damages if they sue both you and the orphanage. |
writerights:I read up on your interesting debate with Code.templar and I do get a feeling of what you are trying to say. But I disagree with the proposal for Winners chapel to make CU free and I would tell you why. Particularly because you are a winners member(I think). Yes Winners can make CU free theoretically because truth be told winners get money. But can you tell me with certainty that winners chapel would maintain the same vigor of growth it has now post Bishop Oyedepo. While Benson Idahosa was alive he could have singlehandedly fund BIU. But after he died it took Oyedepo and Oyakhilome to help fund BIU, Oyedepo helped pay for salaries at the beginning while Oyakhilome gave grants. Oral Roberts university(ORU) today is more popular than Oral Roberts Ministry. Do you think Oral Roberts Ministry today could single handedly fund ORU? Harvard today has gone beyond the founders. Nobody even knows the reason it was founded as much as they know Harvard. Secondly, the budget and expenditure of CU is growing rapidly so much that if winners chapel wasn't growing too CU would very soon equal winners and even overtake it in expenditure. Covenant university is not a property, it transcends Oyedepo. It is another ministry on it's own. A university is like a bird, you can house(cage) it at home and feed it or you can let it fly and fend for herself. Whatever the case the bird that flies on its own is fulfilling purpose. This is why Oyedepo is particular about the financial independence of CU.... |
Jaideyone:CodeTemplar is right, the first gen federal universities receive about 11 billion in wage bill grants, 1 billion in cap grants and about 2 billion in Tetfund interventions. Making about 13 billion in total.
|
writerights:well, you know I don't expect a Tetfund resource official to rank a private school library above a tetfund initiated project. But before he can say that one particular elibrary is better than the other then he must be able to tell the total number of systems available/university population, quality of internet infrastructure, QUALITY of power supply. So he should wait till the next six month before making that assertion. But whatever the case it is awesome to see the impact of Tetfund in the education sector. |
Lordchuks23:So show me the catholic anglican universities that are free today |
