Christianity Etc › Femi Adesina's Comment: "A Symptom Of Cerebral Sclerosis"- Paul Enenche by HigherEd(op): 8:33pm On Jul 06, 2018
"It is an insult on our collective sensibility for anyone to suggest that the killing of innocent Nigerians is justifiable if cattle colony is not accepted.

What a senseless, useless, worthless suggestion! Such quality of suggestions are only symptoms of primitivity of mentality, primordial sensibility, retrogressive discretion, bankruptcy of ideology and cerebral sclerosis.

It is therapeutic failure at the highest level for when drugs expire, they can neither remedy nor be remedied.
God is on the throne and it shall not happen.

Well the thing is you would never know when such curses begin to affect them. Do you think it was normal for a Boko Haram to have turned her weapons on many Muslims and Mosques whose religion they were advocating for. As for Herdsmen, the likes of Oyededo's curses is just going to add to already existing curses because those people are cursed already. Who will see an herdsman and not conclude that they are cursed. In most cases their cattles look far better than they look.

This is a very subjective comment. Open to corrections
Islamic universities are not cheaper than christian universities. Check the school fees of All hikmah and Kings uni or JABU and Fountain or MacPherson and Summit. As for Covenant or Babcock there's no Islamic university that can match up with their facilities or infrastructure so it would be wrong to even include both of em in any comparison.

Christianity is one faith that physically handicaps her followers. But we still thank God for his strong advocacy for peace through and through. We thank God for Christ message of Love.

We glory in the fact the most peaceful places in the world today are christian dominated and they remained peaceful until the islamist infiltrated.

We glory in the fact that most of the places with the best human right records are Christians dominated.

We glory in the fact that the places where freedom of religion is best enshrined are still christian dominated.
Christianity Etc › Bishop Oyedepo: "Self Defence Is Entrenched In The Constitution" by HigherEd(op): 10:00am On Jun 28, 2018
SELF DEFENCE IS ENTRENCHED IN THE CONSTITUTION-CHRISTIANS ARE NOT DUMMIES.
-Bishop Oyedepo thunders!

*Says ‘If you are not angry with what God is angry with, you are a bastard’!
*Roars, Nigeria is not a Fulani Republic...in Nigeria, cows are now more valuable than human lives.

Bishop Oyedepo has been speaking very passionately over the last few hours about the recent killings in several parts of Northern Nigeria. At last night’s evening service and this morning’s Hour of Prayer monitored by Church Gist at the Canaanland premises, he fired at the killers and their sponsors stating among other things that self defence is the right of every Nigerian.

We are on the verge of an outburst. This islamists are not relenting. And cursed be anyone from any quarters backing these wanton killings in Nigeria. Cursed be their roots and their generations. Not one herdsman has been accosted. Even when they were brutal enough to announce. They are poised for war but it will be in their own house. Everybody, whether in government or out of government, any demonic agent that’s after the destruction of this nation, the Lord God destroy them and their household.

Eleven villages were sacked in Plateau and by now since this their callous acts started, 52 villages are empty....when there is no war! Cursed be all forces behind this wanton killings!

If I be a man of God, let the fire of divine vengeance fall upon their head! Join in this warfare prayer, they won’t know where the war is coming from but they won’t wake up in the morning...,,and the Christians are their targets. In the name of Jesus, divine vengeance will target them and bring them down.

We are told from the News that ISIS have found their way to Nigeria. Whatever channel they came from, they will return from that same channel. The Angels of God will fight all the enemies of this nation. War shall not break out in Nigeria, it will break out in their own houses and take them off one by one. Curse these operators and their backers, curse them in the name of the Lord.

Nigeria is not a Fulani republic, let every devil be concerned. I will never become one. We didn’t sign a deal to live together as a Fulani Republic. Everybody that carries that thought and wants to implement it, the power of God will bring them down. Now in Nigeria, cows are more valuable than human lives. Authority claims they haven’t found anybody to claim responsibility when it was announced.
By the blood of Jesus, every manipulator behind this killing, the Lord brings them down!

Do you pray for witches or against witches?
Do you pray for armed robbers or against armed robbers?
Know what to pray against.
The present system must be prayed against...and God will bring them down.
Is cattle business government business?
If everybody whose shop is robbed goes about killing people, will it be taken?
Don’t let anybody take you for a ride. Self Defence is entrenched in the constitution. Give it what it takes to show that you’re not a dummy.

I am ordained a shepherd over a generation. I have a commitment to please God. Don’t let any devil take you for a ride.
Somebody announced that ‘we killed them and we will still kill them’ and they have not picked them up. What?!!!! Can’t you tell who is behind it?
Well, we are set. We are set. We will engage the full force of our spiritual authority.

The saints Must be preserved. The atrocities in Benue, vengeance will answer. The atrocities in Plateau, in Adamawa, Southern Kaduna, judgement will answer...but if you think you will proceed any further, except God has left Heaven, we are in it together.

Cursed be every agent of the devil out to destabilize our country. Cursed be every agent of the devil out to slaughter the saints. You went to Church and killed people and they have not found anyone?
Some will not wake up tomorrow morning. Many of them will not wake up tomorrow morning’.

This morning, the Bishop of one of the largest churches in Nigeria continued his onslaught.

‘I saw children sliced. The United Nations Youth have just written to ask for immediate intervention in this genocide. You don’t know the meaning?
Now wait a minute! All the security apparatus in Plateau, even the commissioner has just been removed and a Muslim put there. They are bent on genocide. They are bent on destruction of lives. Some fellows came and were cursing Elisha. He cursed them in the name of the Lord and two she bears came out of the wood and destroyed them. Lord destroy the destroyers. Trouble these troublers, let their hiding places be unveiled. Let your judgement catch up with them.
Let your curse locate them.
We occupy a strategic position in the kingdom in this nation. Let the Almighty God destroy the destroyers, destroy their household, destroy their generation. Let them be out of existence. Remove their remembrance from the earth. In the name of Jesus.
Curse them in the spirit.

The GOC is Muslim. The new Commissioner of Police posted yesterday is Muslim. Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of administration is Muslim, Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of State C.I.D is Muslim. They are bent! These demonic devilish people are bent. Now in the name of Jesus, the curse of the Lord catches up with them. We are not strangers in Nigeria. You are strangers! You don’t dare a people like this! Father, honour the words of your prophet and let judgement catch up with them. Let their roots dry up. Let the blood of these innocent children, pregnant women, let the blood of these innocent believers, Christians in their homeland been slaughtered by these wicked men, let the blood of these individuals be avenged upon them.

Nigeria shall not become Syria. Any devil planning it, the God that I serve will hit at them. Now, God is angry with the wicked everyday.

Any pastor, any believer that is happy with the wicked is an ungodly man. Any man! I don’t care the office you hold. You are not angry with what God is angry with means you are a bastard!
Jesus, every sellout in your body, let it be met with judgement.

Christians are complaining of being killed by Muslims and Muslim security officers are sent to referee it. What an insensitive devil!
Christians are complaining about the assassination of Christians and then Muslims are now sent to go and oversee without a Christian input. Insensitive devils!

My spirit is angry, the calling on my life is angry.
You shall not make away with it!
You don’t need permission to hit back at a robber, Christians come awake! You are not dummies, come awake!

Government is not by a group of people, it is government for the people, by the people. Let there be no sympathizer with these wicked people in this church or else the curses we release will touch them.

If your baby is slaughtered, sliced, will you be hanging around like that?

These wicked men are trying to test the ground to see how many places they can get to. You dare any further, you will be resisted with the forces of vengeance.

Let all media people carry it. This is the voice of the Lord for the hour. The anger of the Lord is against the wicked and it shall land on their heads’ Bishop Oyedepo concluded.

Better. They need to implement the system where university can shop for candidates not selected by their universities of first selection. For instance if a person with 260 applying for medicine in UI is rejected, a Madonna or Igbinedion can quickly offer the person admission instead of having that individual seeking admission in Benin republic out of frustration. Good idea from oloyede.

The National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) has disclosed plans to launch a second Nano satellite on agriculture.
The satellite, that is codenamed EDUSAT-2, would be launched in collaboration with Landmark University, Omu-Aran, Kwara State.

Head, Media and Corporate Communications of the agency, Dr. Felix Ale, disclosed this in a statement yesterday.

He said the Director General of the Space Agency, Prof. Seidu Mohammed announced the plan during a courtesy visit by the management of Landmark University to NASRDA’s Headquarters in Abuja.

Mohammed explained that the collaboration was due to the genuine interest and commitment shown by the university’s management to an existing memorandum of understanding.

He said the proposed project is in fulfillment of its mandate, which includes the development of satellites and provision of necessary technology and information for universities, to develop capabilities in satellite technology.

Mohammed explained that the Nano satellite, which would be for agricultural purposes will have on board, an infrared camera for detecting diseased crops and monitoring of large agricultural areas.

It would also include the monitoring and understanding of crop characteristics and other agricultural purposes.

The NASRDA boss reaffirmed the commitment of the agency towards collaborations that will contribute to Nigeria’s economic growth.

DELSU Vice Chancellor is raising alarm over inadequate funding and shortage of lecturers in the school.

The management of the Delta State University has raised an alarm over the current state of the institution saying the university might be going into extinction if urgent steps were not taken.
The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Victor Peretomode in an interview cited inadequate funding and lack of lecturers as two major reasons the institution may stop to exist anytime soon.

Peretomode regretted that the university was far from attaining standard infrastructure, including adequate lecturers.

According to Daily Post, there is an acute shortage of lecturers in the Department of Medicine and Surgery, Nursing, Engineering, Pharmacy, English and Foundations of Education.

The VC, therefore, pleaded with the state Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa to approve the university’s request for more funding by boosting the financial allocation accruing to the institution.

“Funding has remained the university’s biggest challenges. It affects everything, including adequate staffing. We don’t have lecturers; we need more lecturers. The university might go into extinction if there are no measure to address the infrastructural decay. The university needs a lot for a befitting standard, hence we appealed to Governor Okowa to come to our aid,” he said.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University said DELSU would have emerged as one of the best and sought-after universities in Nigeria but for its current situation.

If I am not wrong, the five Christians chased the herdsman(who was accused of leading a gang to slaughter 48 people) to a river where he drowned. I am not in support of that, but it's quite amazing that the Nigerian law only becomes effective when the Northern Muslims are on the receiving end. Same way the military only became effective when IPOB became a threat yet were nowhere to find as Fulani's continue to commit genocide across North East and Central. God bless CAN for continually giving Christians the needed united political representation in this insane clime.

DON'T BE DECEIVED.

Names are being blotted out in Heaven (Book of life) every second.

It's possible for your name to be there today and not be there tomorrow.
It means our names are written in Pencil in Heaven.
Stay on in righteousness for your name to remain there.
If your name isn't there, strive for your name to enter.
Judas' name was there but later blotted out; he became the 'son of perdition'.

I was even expecting a Mercedes S600 Maybach, a Range Rover SVAutobiography, a Lexus LS500; all 2018 or 2019 models, but I was faced with those old landcruisers...Crappy cars that I wouldn't even want to own...

He uses those land cruisers for rough terrains...he can afford much better cars...

I remember him giving out the FJ Cruiser and some other cars which people sowed to the church a few years back...at a give away price.

Like codetemplar said, Oyedepo has access to numerous cars...
A new car is always a phone call away.
Once he calls a member who has been blessed through him...to request for a car, it will be ordered immediately.

At times he doesn't even need to ask they just buy and deliver to him.

So tithes and offerings aside, Oyedepo is one call away from a Rolls Royce Cullinan or a Bentley Bentayga(that's if someone hasn't gotten them for him already).

I don't expect him to live in a hut either or in a 3bedroom flat at Atan...so whatever 'mansion' he builds for himself is befitting...

I'll be waiting for more pictures of his living room(you know his Sofas could be too expensive; one bought from an Aboki at Alabarago market in Lagos would have been better)...we'll then check out the kitchen so we could deliberate on whether he should eat with ceramic or plastic plates...we could also argue stainless or plastic set of cutlery...

Then move to his bedroom and pass judgements on why his mattress is too soft while some of his members sleep on the floor...

His toilet is also too large..., why not one the size of a mobile toilet? Abi can he occupy the whole toilet at a time?

If Jesus Christ were here will he have slept in a soft bed or eaten with stainless cutlery? Will he have a large toilet? Won't he rather just conserve the space for some of his members to live in?

Y'all should go and rest jare...you're not Christians...so don't come to pass judgements...
Were you there when he started in Kaduna with a few members? Or when be was at Raji Oba? But now that his coast has expanded you're here to talk rubbish.
Honestly your comment is the only reason I'm calling lalasticlala to this thread.. You are way too sensible for an 100 level guy. Many pastor bashing, running tap mouths on NL would do well to learn from you....
Christianity Etc › Re: Why There Are Many Churches Today by HigherEd: 4:23pm On Jun 16, 2018
There are that many churches because there are that many christians. A nation of over 80 million christians would need hundreds of thousands of churches. So it's just a matter of demand and supply.
America today has 380,000 churches serving 70% of the population for instance. Now as long as christianity continues to thrive the number of churches would increase if it is waning then the number of churches would reduce. Its a simple matter of demand and supply...
