Christianity Etc › Re: The Redeemed Church And God On Opposite Paths by HigherEd:
To me this write up is pointless. Pa Akindayo governed RCCG to the best he could, Pastor Adeboye is also governing rccg to the best he can so there is no need for foolish comparisons.
During the era of Pa Akindayomi for instance members were flogged for wearing trousers, he insisted on not owning schools but those things were changed by the successor akindayomi himself chose.
Rccg is not about akindayomi neither is winners chapel about Bishop Oyedepo-those churches are about Jesus Christ and if successors have a different understanding of things they will act accordingly, anything less would be idolizing the founder. The hierarchy in RCCG is Jesus Christ > Adeboye there isn't Pa Akindayomi in the middle. Once he died he had ceded authority of the church. Every single subsequent act of the church must be checked in conformity with scriptures and not in conformity with what Akindayomi said or did.

As regards sexual immorality on camp. Don't be ridiculous by trying to blame Adeboye for it. Even in the early church there was immorality going on. And that did not mean the Apostles were invalid or not preaching holiness. Was it the lack of holiness preaching that made Ananias and wife lie to Peter(an unapologetic holiness apostle) or was it the lack of holiness of paul that made a member of the church to sleep with his father's wife? If you don't like Adeboye or RCCG go and worship somewhere else and stop disturbing us.

Huh such a manipulative drama king. Adeyemi, ropu, ibyeomie, ashimolowo all do this yearly without any funfair.
If you like feed 1 million children but if in your heart you are doing it so people can perceive you better than the pastors you criticize then you have wasted your effort as God is concerned. Christian charity must emanate from true Love. Knowing who freeze is and his antecedents I am nearly sure he is doing this so he can be better perceived by his followers. The good news is at least the children go chop from this well acted script.

Mind you, it wouldn't cost Oyedepo or Adeboye much to do a bigger publicity stunt if they wanted. Just placing a few cameras here and there and many foolish ppl would be screaming about their generosity.

I have followed up on Oyedepo's givings and it is EXTREMELY hard to follow or notice. I brought the news of Oyedepo's gift to sierraleone to nairaland after having to look deep before I could get a source that quoted the gifts.
It wasn't easy getting to know Oyedepo funds 20 public secondary schools in kwara or that he built a town hall in same state or that he funds 15 NGOs. It wasn't easy getting to know he had made landmarks agriculture free of tuition. I don't know if Oyedepo and Adeboye are giving in the right proportion to what they have but I love their desire to conceal and not make a media frenzy out of any aid giving.
Education › Re: Akeredolu Hires Pro-govt Students To Counter Protests Over AAUA Tuition Hike by HigherEd:
I understand that 25,000 naira per term as school fees is grossly inadequate to run a university - I mean it is completely nothing sef. N25,000 is just $100 which is just about the cost of application to a foreign university. But we must be careful of creating a situation where only the rich or middle-class can gain access to quality education. Maybe we should leave the attainment of world class status to private universities who can afford to raise fees and get massive endowments from their proprietors.

However what I won't accept is Nigerians coming again to balme any state govt for poor quality of university education when such school collects less than 100,000/session. Let us accept our fate - Nigerian public universities may never be great if they continue to take such low fees.

Another angle is this, States should not be investing solely in university education. They should adopt private universities like the US fed govt does. And pay for their indigenes per person than run a full university for free, which is.

Whatever they do they should ensure this man is not is not extradited to Denmark. The Nigerian govt must refuse any request for extradition from Denmark because I am way to sure that the Danish embassy in Nigerian would be working full time to see him serve punishment in Denmark. The Nigerian govt should make sure the guy serves out his prison time in KiriKiri. Denmark's incarceration system is simply a ridiculous joke!

For us in private universities it is a matter of curriculum!

I remembered when Covenant and some others started grumbling about NUC's curriculum being too outdated. NUC then brought about a new curriculum which was for 2014-Mathematics. Covenant quickly adopted the new curriculum for Mathematics. But unfortunately, NUC later came back to say that the 2014 curriculum was just a recommendation and not meant to be implemented thereby forcing us at CU to revert back to 2007 curriculum alongside other Nigerian universities.

I think private universities should be allowed to run and tailor their curriculum as they please..

Okoyeebos:
Something just occurred to me.

If Oyedepo were to contest for Nigeria's Presidency, would people trust him enough to handle the nation's purse?
Why not? Elrufai was once quoted to have said that he has rarely ever seen a well detailed financial record of any organization like winners chapel. A UK commission once recommended the church as a model to all charities in the UK. Some of Oyedepo's successors at NCCF also talked about the man's financial accountability to the last kobo.

I believe someone like Oyedepo would be good for Nigeria.

“Every individual has been victims of unskilled leadership at all levels, especially in family, business and career levels.

“If the nation and other African countries do not have the required skill to get some tasks done, they will continue to struggle with their challenges forever,’’
Preach it Sir. Before one mumu begins to shout that religion is their problem. This is one of the major leaders of the Pentecostal movement advocating for skills and more investment in education. I remembered listening to how he dissected how education powered south Korea and isreal to what they are today.

For those shamelessly quoting me here it is. Many of u are concerned about allegations and less concerned about findings

do yourself a favour and study Finland Education System. D best in the world! Free from Primary to post graduate.
Do you think America does not like the Finland model? They do but it would be to expensive to run even in the US. Finland is a small country with a small population growth hence it is easier to fund the little universities required which is about 15. University of Ibadan, Unilag and University of Nigeria can school most if not all of Finland's teenagers.
