THEStudents of the federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti, will be going to the polls on Wednesday and Thursday, 30th and 31st October respectively  as they gear up for their forthcoming Students Union Government (SUG) election, VAM News reports.

VAM News sources disclosed that though the election would be keenly contested between Rusurgence team and Grace on duty '19 , it is expected to be hitch-free as everything has been in order since the campaign started.


In a report received from Comr.Rotr.Okunlola Taiwo Emmytech, Representing FPA Rotaract Club Association that the rotoract club FPA campaign against election violence during the manifesto at the sport complex today.

He said: 

"We gathered there because we want to decide the destiny of FPASU for the next session Past election was peaceful and we made it all together.

Nigerian students will decide on Wednesday and Thursday

I ask you to vote peacefully not because you are a Muslim or a Christian,

I ask you to vote peacefully not because you are from BUSA, ESA ,SOT and SOE

I ask you to vote with peace and love because that's what we need in FPA.

We want FPA where you will not be treated with alliance or according to your faculty but by the content of your character with love and peace."

In another reports, a leading SUG social director aspirant, Jolomi admonished students to steer clear of violence that may impede a successful and peaceful electioneering process. 

VAM News confirmed that His advise came hours after he was dropped from the race by the Electoral committee in charge of the election.

The Ondo State Government in conjunction with Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) and Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has started training of over 360 youths on different business enterprise, VAM News reports.

VAM gathered the three-day entrepreneurship programme, organised by Ministry of Youths and Sports Development with SMEDAN, started on Monday and would end on Wednesday.

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN of the state said that one of the major problems facing youths in the country was unemployment, hence the the need to train youths on businesses.

The governor who was, represented by his Deputy, Hon Agboola Ajayi, said one of the core values of his cardinal action plan as a government was human capital development, being the foundation of socio-economic growth of the state.

According to him, over four million youths enters the labour market against the available one million job.

Akeredolu said "As our administration is committed to sustainable youth empowerment,this three-day capacity building training is intended to unlock and re-invent your creative potential and provide another opportunity for you to either start or scale up your existing businesses.

"We cannot pretend to be unaware of the teething challenges confronting up and coming young entrepreneurs,notably the inability to access the initial capital outlay," he said.

Akeredolu said the agricultural value chain business was significant aspect of his government's plan to create jobs for unemployed youths and to grow the state economy.

He revealed that the business had engaged over 18,000 youths,with social protection and reinvestment programmes had currently engaged about 50,000 youths through its various components.


Also, the commissioner for Youth and Sport Development, Mr Dotun Owanikin said the programme showed the commitment of the governor towards youths in the state.

He said the training would make the youths self-reliant and empowering them to ensure a sustainable employment opportunities in the state.

Owanikin revealed that each local government had minimum of 20 youths, saying," what we are trying to do here is to start a chain of employment for the youths in the state."

The State Manager of SMEDAN Mr Biodun Ayedun thanked the government of the state for giving the youths opportunity to be employers of labour.

Ogun State Government, Governor Dapo Abiodun on June 28, 2019 (months ago) announced plan to embark on fresh recruitment of graduates, skilled and unskilled persons, VAM News reports.

Governor Dapo Abiodun said this at a closed-door meeting of the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abeokuta, the state capital.

A statement by Kunle Somorin, his Chief Press Secretary, quoted the governor as hinting that work has started on a portal to register, on a continuous basis, unemployed youths in the State with a view to providing them jobs suitable for their trade and academic qualification.

Mr. Makinwa Olabisi has emerged as the Chairman of National Association of Patient and Proprietary Medicine, Idanre Local Government Chapter yesterday after an election held at the association's Secretariat along Arapa Road, Idanre, Ondo State, VAM reports.

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Southwest (Zone D) has conferred award of excellence on Orangun  of Oke-Ila, Oba Adedokun Abolarin, CSP Olayinka Sikiru, Police State Command Osogbo and all former Zone D Coordinators in recognition of their huge contributions in NANS Zone D, Voice Air Media reports.

The awards were presented at the 2019 public lecture and award ceremony organized by the NANS Zone D under the leadership of Com. Adekitan Lukman held at SOB Babalola Hall in Federal Polytechnic Ede, Osun State on Saturday.


According to the speech delivered by  Com. Adekitan Lukman, the NANS Zone D Coordinator, said that, " Today we are making another history in life of this great association. For the first time in our history, we have brought all the former Zone D coordinators under one roof to appreciate their past contributions in making the association what it is today. We have also brought the Orangun of Oke  Ila, CSP Olayinka Sikiru, past student leaders who have sacrificed all they have for the emancipation of Nigerian students in South west.

Okiki Ogunsola and many others who were conferred with the prestigious awards were described by the NANS Zone D coordinator as an embodiment of humility, hard work and selfless service of emulation. 

In his acceptance speech, Com. Demola  Yaya while thanking the leadership of NANS Zone D for finding him worthy of recognition gave kudos to the Coordinator for his efforts towards the emancipation of Nigerian students.

He said the award will serve as a catalyst for him to put in more hard work, innovative ideas and total commitment to NANS.

The Apex body of Nigerian Student, National Association of Nigerian Students have expressed displeasure on sunday 27th October, unresponsive and unemotional act of the crown flour mill company towards the accidental victims caused by the reckless driving of your driver along Ado-Ekiti - Iyin expressway few years ago that involved lives and individual properties, VAM News Reports.

Certainly and undeniably, Crown Flour Mill has benefited tremendously from Nigerian Students which is the highest constituency in the country. it is hoped that Crown flour mill will not allow rigid complex of frigid arrogance to dissuade them from taking responsibility of affected Students.

THE national association university students in a press release to Newsmen today explained the tragic event which greeted the academic community of Ekiti state two years ago and yet unattended to till date is an evidence that no one is safe in this country, Voice Air Media Reports.


Today, we are bequeathed with a nation where individuals and bodies can afford to express all sense of sheer irresponsibility and go away with it as a result of the lacuna in our legal system which is further enhanced by corruption, nepotism and other anomalies in the system.


It is excrutiating to note that despite all frantic efforts being made by the leadership of this noble association and that of NANS which is the umbrella body of all Nigerian students both home and in the diaspora in ensuring that justice is secured for Akinniyi Olanrewaju Victoria of the Department of Science and Laboratory Technology, Ekiti State University while employing all diplomatic means without being confrontational, the management of Crown Flour Mills Ltd. have decided to turn deaf ears to our calls.


It is really embarrassing that despite the fact that the reckless driving of one of the drivers of this company which has proven to be inhuman and lack empathy caused the death of a lecturer of Afe Babalola University and also left many injured including a 300L student of Ekiti State University, Akinniyi O. Victoria with matriculation number 168867148, Crown Flour Mill Ltd. has refused to take responsibility in ensuring that Akinniyi with an amputated hand and who has not been able to afford her medical bills as a result of the damages caused by the accident is taken care of.


The entire students' populace and the general public must note that the Crown Flour Mill Ltd. which has proven to be evil and anti-human with their lack of empathy posture towards ensuring that the families of the affected are duly compensated with failed attempts to dialogue with their management so as to ensure that the amputated Akinniyi's medical bills is taken care of and that she is given proper medical attention.

At this point, it becomes imperative that body of Nigerian students rise up in its mass to demand for worthy compensations and remunerations for the victims of the accident. However, upon failure of Crown Flour Mills Ltd in responding positively and fairly to the situation it may be necessary to make the Nigerian business atmosphere unfavourable for the organization.

The Chairman Okitipupa Local Government, Omo'ba Abayomi Adesanya, has ordered total and strict  compliance on tomorrow's monthly environmental sanitation exercise across the entire local government area of Ondo State.

The exercise which is expected to hold between the hours of 7am to 10am on Saturday 26th October, 2019. 

He enjoined landlords, tenants and  business operators to use the period to clean their surroundings and to equally make use of designated and approved  dump site to evacuate their waste. 

According to a statement issued by the chairman's   Press Secretary, Martins Fasusi said " There would be restrictions of business and  vehicular movements during the stipulated hours, with the exception of  those on special and essential duties.

However,  to make the exercise more effective, he  urged the newly inaugurated Environmental Committee to come out in a civil way at their respective locations and monitor the exercise for effective compliance.

The Obafemi Awolowo University hosted the landmark 2019 National Students' Legislative Conference titled THE PARLIAMENT AND THE PEOPLE: THE DEFINITION OF TRUE DEMOCRACY on the 23rd and 24th of October, Voice Air Media reports.

Speakers at the event included Chairman House of Reps Committee on NDDC Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Chartered Banker Mr Yinka Olatunbosun, Chief Legislative Officer of Lagos Assembly Mr Omoyele Abdul Quadri and Barr. Desmond Orisewezie and other distinguished guests, VAM has gathered.


At the event, key panelist Barrister Desmond defined democracy as a function of legitimacy and the interplay of majority choices and so parliament must rework a national policy agenda to protect minority interests.


He stated that we possess one Identity and that is Nigeria but ethnicity, resources control and religious sentiments have been weaponized for political mischief because our politics is ideologically bankrupt.


Also, capital punishment was advocated for electoral rigging, probably when the electoral manipulators are aware that they may be sentenced to death if found guilty by a law court of unlawfully subverting the will of the people, they would be more cautious.


Parliamentarians as representatives of the people must be seen to take brave actions and not merely just being wish makers for the executives. They must tame the growing executive rascality, take action(s) to protect judicial interference, tackle the high handedness of the security agencies, prevent the gagging of the press, and also formulate policies that will reverse the peoples pain and misery.


The tax authorities must exercise caution over the growing burden of taxation. It is a universal practice for tax authorities to increase tax ratios mostly during a period of soaring economy and national prosperty and not to do the vice versa, especially at a time where Nigeria has bagged a global distinction in the world's poverty index.


Government must ensure that tax payers get value by using the tax lodgments for the overall development of the society, but due to the massive festival of looting of the nations wealth by a few and the attendant maladministration being recorded, citizens are becoming unwilling to pay taxes. It is an irony is that we pay for road worthiness amongst other things during vehicular registration. If there should be any payment, it should be the other way round, which is government paying Nigerians for the continued unworthiness of the roads despite tax collection and the abundant resources of the nation.


It is expedient for the regular update of our laws, for this reason I must commend every legislator championing strategic bills in their jurisdictions, personally I give special kudos to Hon. Anthony Elekeokwuri the legislator representing Ika North East my constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly for having introduced, co-sponsored and debated over 100 bills in four 4years of his tenure which started in 2015 of which some have already been signed into law.


To the youths, your time is now and the time for gerontocracy is up. I usually admonish fellow youths to stop calling themselves leaders of tomorrow, because we have to must convince our inner mind that we are the leaders of today and that people seem to prefer maintaining familiar political and economic structures of power therefore nobody will give us power on a platter of gold, we must wrestle for it within the democratic framework.

Currently, kleptocracts are replacing technocrats, our economy is still bereft of realistic blueprints and self-centered politicians have held the country politically hostage, privatized its instruments of power and personalized the usage of its resources.

The other panelists at the event raised alarm about the rising debt profile of the country


The Chief Legislative Officer Mr Abdul Quadri who traced the history of the legislature added that people should understand the limits of their legislators and should not take requests which is within the purview of the executive arm of government to the legislature.


Barr Desmond continued that to resolve our challenges, a people-centered constitution or the restructuring the present unpopular system is required. Our federalism must devolve more powers to the subordinate units of governments, because the present one being practiced is just a 'smokescreen'.

As part of its commitment to improve the health sector, facilitate modern healthcare in Ondo State and end medical tourism abroad , the administration of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has signed a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a Germany-based health institution, Medicus International, to build a USD1.1billion Sunshine medical City in the state.

The Mou was signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde, while the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Medicus International, Frank Spriewald, signed on behalf of the company at the Ondo State Governor's Lodge, Asokoro, Abuja, on Thursday, October 24, 2019. 

Speaking at the event, Governor Akeredolu said he was more than convinced that Medicus International has good intention to develop the medical infrastructure in the state.

He said: "I am more than convinced that Medicus has good intention. As I told them when they came, coincidentally about few weeks ago, I was in Germany myself and I saw their structure. 

"When I was in Berlin, I was talking to another medical organisation to bring their facility to Ondo State.  I was negotiating with them not knowing that someone else was already waiting for this.


"No doubt, we are interested in this. We have made efforts. We are already working on how to secure a land very close to the airport. It is an interesting thing. 

"We are prepared to cooperate and we know that this sort of thing is to be done as a joint venture. The interest of Ondo State is there. We are putting land. The joint venture itself will come up."

Arakunrin Akeredolu also announced that the state government has set up a team led by the Special Adviser on Health to work with the Medicus International. 

Earlier, the facilitator for Medicus International, Chief Oludare Bello, said the time for the execution of the project is thirty six months and development will be completed in forty eight months. 



According to him, the hospital will deal with all facets of healthcare, adding that the nearness to the airport became imperative because the hospital will have its own helicopter that will transverse other parts of the state for medical purposes. 

Chief Bello explained that there will be other facilities in the medical city such as conference Center, Cinema, teaching hospital and nursing school. 

He said: 
     "The hospital is a city on its own. The design is premised on the fact that there will be green in the whole hospital. That is to make the patients see the ambience of the hospital when they lean over the window to have a view."

"It will be one of its kind in Nigeria. Over 50% of the doctors are already trained in Germany. The doctors that will be employed here will also be trained in Germany.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Health, Dr. Jibayo Adeyeye, said Medicus International is charged with the responsibility of looking for fund for the project, adding that the State government is only investing 100 hectares of land and with other routine approvals.

Samsung Electronics Co Ltd has updated software to fix problems with fingerprint recognition features on its flagship Galaxy S10 and Note 10 smartphones, it said on Wednesday.

     The mobile giant issued an apology via its customer support app Samsung Members and told its Galaxy phone users to update their biometric authentication to the latest software version.

A British user told The Sun newspaper that a bug on her Galaxy S10 allowed it to be unlocked regardless of the biometric data registered in the device.

Samsung has said the issue can happen when patterns appearing on certain protectors that come with silicon cases are recognized along with fingerprints.

The Management of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti has explained in clear terms the requirements from all bonafide undergraduates and Postgraduate students for the revalidation of studentship status which is on-going across all the faculties in the University.

This becomes imperative following various on line false reports and incorrect claims that Management is requesting all kinds of back dated payments of fees for the exercise. 

The Authority of Ekiti State University (EKSU) has emphasized the requirements for the revalidation exercise as stated below:

1) Evidence of payment of school fees covering all academic sessions up to date;

2) Evidence of payment of acceptance fees at the point of admission;

3) Evidence of payment of Faculty levies up to date;

4) Evidence of payments of SUG, Faculty and  Departmental Associations’ dues for the current academic session only;

5) Students while on I.T., are exempted from payment of smart school fee. Those on I.T. can do the revalidation of their studentship on the completion of their I.T. programme, except those who have carry over examinations to write.

Some unidentified and Unknown gunmen shot dead A Man in front of First bank ATM in Ondo state Today. 

According to a reports by eyewitness:
        "I was using first bank ATM around Market junction and garage in Igbokoda area of Ondo state this morning, when one guy was dropped in front of the bank in cold blood, and the bike man run for his life as those that shot him following the bike that rescue him, making the bike man dropped him there and the guy has sustained gun injury from stomach and he is already jacking."

We were told that they shot him at garage side. 

There is gun shot everywhere around college road and market junction at that time,  making everybody running helter scalter.

Panic everywhere as movement were restricted.

NANS JCC VISITS ONDO STATE COMMISSIONER FOR EDUCATION


Upon the distress call received by the Chairman of NANS JCC ONDO AXIS late yesterday, the Leadership of the above Association swung into actions by meeting with appropriate quarters on issues bothering the Ondo State University of Science and Technology (OSUSTECH) and University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), VAM News reports.


We met with the Ondo State Commissioner for Education and  Technology, Pastor Femi Agagu, his attention was drawn to the under funding of the State Institutions, especially in OSUSTECH and UNIMED. 

He explained what the Government has been doing as regards our observation, " a proposal has been raised which would address upward review in the subventions granted to State Institutions to enhance adequate education and enable a serene environment for learning, research and technology".


NANS also highlighted some of the inconveniences being  faced by the Students of UNIMED in the area of accommodation and other related issues. Pastor Femi Agagu promised to look into the issue in no distance time.

Court has denied the sahara reporters publisher, Omoyele Sowore bail application, VAM Online News has gathered.

Justice Ojukwu said Sowore's bail can only be reduced to N50 million while Bakare's should be reduced to N20 million.


The judge said she found it difficult to believe a man of Sowore's pedigree does not have anyone to deposit N50 million.

No fewer than 500 senior secondary school three Muslim students on Sunday sat for the 2019 Career Mentorship Program (CMP) scholarship examination organized by the Islamic group, Standard Bearers Islamic Organization (SB) Osun State branch.

Our correspondent gathered that the Muslim students who are in SS3 were tested in Mathematics and English Language across 5 centres in Osun and Ondo States. 


The centres where the scholarship examination took places include; Oduduwa College, Ile Ife;  Muslim Unity Secondary Academy, Akure; Islamic Model College, Iwo; Laro Middle School,  Osogbo; and Ede Muslim High School, Ede. 


Mr. Fatai Hassan, the Director of the CMP, said the placement test was smooth and hitch-free in all the 5 centres.


He disclosed that any student who had the highest score in the scholarship examination will be given free WAEC and JAMB fees.


He disclosed further that students who had 50% and above will also be given awards.


Hassan said the aim of the program is to develop the minds of the Muslim students by creating a healthy rivalry among the students.


Similarly, the Chief examiner of CMP, Mr. Abdullahi Muslim, said the examination was a great success in all the five centres.


He said the questions that were set are set according to WAEC standard and they are obviously not beyond the capacity of the Senior Secondary School three which is a criteria to sit for the examination.


Muslim added that he was impressed with the conduct of the examination which showed that the students were ready for the test. 


A candidate, Durojare Ibrahim, told our correspondent after his first paper that the examination was well organized, adding that the questions were tough.

The Bishop of Ndokwa Diocese, Church of Nigeria (Anglican communion), Right Reverend David Obiosa, has said the secret to winning any Christian battle is relying on God, putting faith in Him and facing the battle squarely under His instructions.

The Bishop made this known at the September edition of the monthly Power Night of the Abuja Anglican Diocese, held at the Cathedral Church of the Advent, Life Camp, Abuja, VAM gathered.

Speaking on the theme, “The Battle is the Lord’s,” Obiosa pointed out that the Christian life in itself is an introduction to battle, because even at baptism, one is said to be enlisted into the army of Christ.

He stressed that the Christian warfare is not a fight of the flesh, but one that is fought spiritually and can only be won with spiritual weapons.

Narrating the story in the Bible about the shepherd boy, David and Goliath, the giant Philistine, the bishop observed that life is filled with challenging situations such as that which David and the Israelites were faced with.

He said Christians are facing all kinds of warfare today, including persecution for their faith. The cleric opined that just like David, believers must realise that the warfare is not a physical battle and it is only God who can grant them victory.

THE University of Ilorin on Saturday beat Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic of Zaria 1-0 to win the third edition of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board-sponsored tertiary institutions football competition, VAM gathered.

In the final match of the 16-team competition held at the University of Ilorin pitch, the game’s only goal was scored in the third minute.

The institution thus won the trophy and one million Naira star prize, with the goal bringing the best out of the two schools.

The two institutions clashed in the final of the competition last year, with the Zaria-based institution winning the trophy.

Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic went home with N750,000 for coming second in the competition.

A report received from a town in Ondo state, indicates that a heavy Tragedy has struck in Okeagbe Akoko community in Akoko North West local government area of Ondo state yesterday, October 19th after a recognized 86-year-old man, Umoru Samuel, was pushed to his death while trying to separate his son and a neighbour who were fighting.


Eyewitnesses at the scene, Pa Samuel heard his son and the neighbor, Leye Rufus, fighting and made his way outside to seperate them. 


Sadly, as he tried to stop the fight, Leye allegedly pushed him and he fell flat on his face.


He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was certified dead on arrival.

While reiterating Nigerian students resolve at ending all forms of impunity by the political class against helpless citizens, we wish to once again encourage the Ekiti state first family to in the interest of justice handover the Counter Terrorism Unit officers who mindlessly killed Joseph Okonofua and Kehinde Dada (among several others critically injured) on September 9, 2019 during Erelu Bisi Fayemi's visit to Oye-Ekiti for immediate prosecution.

Those trigger happy officers must face the law no matter how long they are shielded.



Governor Kayode Fayemi and his wife, Bisi Fayemi remain banned on our campuses so long they refuse to allow justice run its cause on the dastardly FUOYE killings.

Former Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson allegedly fixed a football match with a corrupt agent who gave him a £30,000 gold Rolex, a court heard today.


Football agent, Giuseppe ‘Pino’ Pagliara, 64, made the claims to an undercover reporter posing as a businesswoman looking to invest in football players, jurors were told.


Pagliara is on trial for bribery at Southwark Crown Court alongside assistant head coach of Barnsley Football Club Tommy Wright and fellow football agent Dax Price. All three deny the charges.


The trio were charged following allegations of corruption published by the Daily Telegraph in 2016, one of which led to Sam Allardyce resigning as England manager.


He said the legendary manager fixed a champions league game against Italian giants Juventus and alleged Ferguson pocketed money from transfer deals, Southwark Crown Court heard.


Pagliara and fellow agent Dax Price allegedly tried to “impress” Claire Newell by arranging meetings with prominent footballing figures such as Steve McLaren, Harry Redknapp, and manager Neil Warnock, prosecuter Brian O’Neill QC told Southwark Crown Court.

O'Neil said Pagliara claimed that “99 percent of the people in football if they weren’t in football, would be selling second-hand cars.”


Pagliara was said to be“furious” with Redknapp for suggesting the reporter should buy a football club instead of using a legal loophole to get around a ban on third-party ownership of players in England during a meeting in July 2016, the court heard.


Describing another meeting, Mr O’Neill said: “Towards the end of the meeting Pagliara launched into what could only be described as a diatribe of Sir Alex Ferguson, accusing him of having conspired with Pagliara to fix the result of a football match between Juventus, a club which Pagliara was associated with, and Manchester United in the Champions League for which Pagliara had thanked him with a gold 30 grand Rolex watch.


“Pagliara went on to accuse Sir Alex Ferguson of having taken money as part of transfer deals. He claimed that he had paid Ferguson before.”

He added: “To the outside world, the plan being espoused by Mr. Pagliara, it would look as though the player in question was owned by the football club in Belgium when actually the player was owned by a third party.


“And that, said Pagliara, was the plan that he wanted to end upbringing to England because that’s where the money is.

“He went to speak about placing players in Italian clubs where he had various connections before moving them to England.


“‘You have to have an offshore account somewhere and that’s where we do it. For example Antonio Conte [then head coach at Chelsea[ has winked at us and said, “yeah, I want that player, is there a little coffee for me Pino?”’


“A little coffee, she said. ‘Yeah, that’s what he’ll say: yeah of course there is and now I’m negotiating a coffee as well and we are not talking about a double espresso.’


“He went on to say he would disguise it as a consultancy agreement by another trusted individual.


“‘Claire, I’ve opened so many Swiss bank accounts for managers that you would not believe’.”


Tommy Wright, 53, then assistant head coach of Championship club Barnsley, accepted a cash bribe to get players to sign up with the agents, the court was told.


Undercover reporter Claire Newell and her team set up a fake company and told Pagliara and Price that she wanted to invest in football players, jurors heard.


The court was told that they arranged for a £5,000 bribe to be handed in an envelope to Scots-born Wright, who played top-flight football for Leeds, Leicester City, Oldham, and Middlesbrough.


Wright, of Barnsley, South Yorkshire, denies two counts of accepting a bribe, while Pagliara, 64, of Bury, Greater Manchester, and Price, 48, of Sittingbourne, Kent, deny two counts of paying and facilitating a bribe.


The prosecutor said of Mr Price: “He went on to say this: ‘There are certain people like Harry Redknapp; he needs looking after. There are certain people like Neil Warnock.’


“It’s no part of this prosecution to malign those individuals about whom they spoke.

The delegates of the Ezonebi training centre, on Wednesday protested over the non-payment of their coordinator, Enetimi Evah Ezonebi, VAM Online News Reports.


The delegates blocked the southwest road in the early hours of today, demanding the Presidential Amnesty Office to make payments to their coordinator for jobs completed.


They also appealed to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, National Security Adviser (NSA) and the DSS to call Professor Charles Dokubo to make payments to their coordinator for jobs completed in June 10, 2019.



The delegates all came out to protest today to show their disapproval of the non-payment of their coordinator for the training programme they all attended at Lagos for a duration of six months, they further mentioned that their coordinator, Enetimi Evah was a blessing and the centre changed their lives for the better.

The coordinator ensured they were equipped with the right skills and all they needed to transform their mentality.


At the graduation ceremony held in Lagos in June 2019, they were awarded cash gift and they are yet to receive the gift as a result of the non-payment. They are also unable to receive their TIN number, which is outstanding. They are protesting in order to collect what is due to them.


They further mentioned that, if payment are not made quickly, they will go back to the creek and create unrest in the Niger Delta. They want the DSS to assist in making the payment process effective to avoid them going back to the creek. They also vowed that if they go back to the creek, Professor Charles Dokubo should be arrested as he is to be blamed for this, not them.


One of the delegates Melakpo marvelous (leather work) said “The Amnesty Office used our madam and gave her technical knockout, because Professor Charles Dokubo came for flag up at Ezonebi training centre , he also attended or mid training beach activity at Landmark and is aware of the progress we have made, which makes the way she is being treated bad.


They used Ezonebi training centre and projected accomplishments to Nigeria in an elaborate graduation ceremony held at the Eko hotel Lagos in June, 2019.


To us, we see this act as a technical knockout, as she has tried to get her outstanding payment from the office since June, but is yet to receive it and in addition she has been restricted from getting into the office to process her payment. This is merely an act of wickedness from the office to a dedicated contractor.”


Another delegate, Madam Hilter, who was the best delegate in fashion works said “ When she called our coordinator (Enetimi Evah) to redeem her cash gift, she was in tears and asked that I exercised patience as the office had not made payment to her.”


According to some of the delegates who were trained in Information Technology, they are yet to be empowered, they are very angry about it. They have protested earlier at Silverbird television station Lagos as regards the instant empowerment allegedly promised by Dokubo.


They further mentioned that the training centre was more of a rehabilitation facility for them, they were so lucky to have been posted there, as no other training centre was so interested in their growth and overall success.


The coordinator was even awarded an excellence award by the Presidential Amnesty Office at their graduation in June,2019. She is a mother to all.


“We are requesting the amnesty office to make payments to her within the next two weeks, or we would be forced to go back to the creek to create unrest in the Niger Delta.


This woman has trained more than 300 delegates in the Niger Delta, to mobilize ourselves and fund any protest is nothing to us, her JOY is our JOY, WE WILL NOT ALLOW HER TO CRY again, if she sheds tears again in respect to the payments, we will fight to the end.
