THE National Association of Polytechnic Students NAPS has kicked against the #RevolutionNow movement spearheaded by the detained Sahara Reporters Publisher and activist-politician, Omoyele Sowore, saying it would never support any unconstitutional change of government. Buhari, Omoyele Sowore “NAPS uses this medium to distance itself from the said revolution as being championed by Omoyele Sowore and his allies. We believe in the pragmatic enthusiasm of seeking positive governance through peaceful protest but do not believe in the moral pedigree of Omoyele Sowore to lead such movement. Furthermore, NAPS as a body subscribes to the usage of tenets of democracy in changing a democratically elected government not through usage of civil unrest”, the association said yesterday in a communique issued at the end of its 44th Senate Meeting and Pre-Convention held between August 2nd and 4th at the Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Niger State. The communiqué was signed by Collins Ozele and Abdulmalik Usman, Chairman and Secretary of the Communiqué Drafting Committee respectively. On insecurity, NAPS called on the federal government to be more vigorous in “checkmating decadence and criminal activities of bandits across the states that have tremendously put our lives at risk”. The association also urged government to be diplomatic in handling issues on the Shi’ites Movement and implored the Federal Government “to respect court orders not peculiar only to the Islamic Movement in Nigeria IMN leaders but also the former National Security NSA and others in their category”. While it frowned at the Federal Government’s “epileptic approach to the full implementation of the Degree Awarding status of the already selected Polytechnics while swiftly implementing same Status for College of Agriculture Zuru Kebbi State without putting into consideration alongside the earlier selected Polytechnics whose bills have spent almost a decade at the National Assembly”. The leadership of Nigerian students' Parliament (NSP) yesterday in Abuja affirms their unalloyed support to the National President, National Association of Nigerian students (NANS); Comr. Daniel Akpan via his ultimatum to south Africans living and doing business in Nigeria to leave our country within 14 days. The NSP leadership complained that over 100 Nigerians have been reported killed in South Africa and yet the south African government is not doing anything serious about it. We are solidly behind the NANS president on every move to making south Africans have a feel of how angered we are over their ill practices against our brothers and sisters living in south Africa. The national deputy clerk of Nigerian students' Parliament; Comr. Vera, a final year student of Education faculty, Imo state university noted that members of the students parliament have posed in readiness force south Africans out of Nigeria, shutting all her business (MTN, Shoprite, Dstv, Etc) down Click here to read full details>>> https://www.voiceairmedia.com/2019/08/students-parliament-backs-nans.html

SOUTH AFRICANS MUST GO; NIGERIANS RETURN HOME FROM SOUTH AFRICA. Gentlemen of the Press You may recall that Nigerian students as directed by the NANS leadership has been on the street in major cities of Nigeria in the last two weeks enforcing the picketing of South African businesses to draw global attention to the mindless killings of Nigerians and looting of their properties in South Africa. Interestingly, the picketing exercise was peacefully carried out in the hope that the government of South Africa and her citizens would once and for all end all forms of attacks on citizens of other African nations. Behold, the killings have continued and has even assumed a more dangerous dimension. This worsening development calls for a swift reaction. Importantly, we want to call on Nigerians in South Africa to reconsider their stay in South Africa and return home. Having gone through the first phase without any remorse or practical action to end xenophobic attacks in South Africa, we wish to announce that Nigerian students have decided to take on South Africans same way they are doing to our people. We have seen the helplessness of the South African government in reining in their citizens and wish to condemn in unambiguous terms the continued pampering of those involved. Every nation has her own internal crisis hence no citizen of other nation should be sacrificed for criminal activities of South Africans or any other. Since the economic prosperity of Nigerians can no longer be tolerated and their lives secured in South Africa, there's no need also to condone the continued flourishing of South African businesses and her citizens in Nigeria. We therefore wish to officially ask all South African owned businesses in Nigeria to relocate in the next 7 days. We specifically want MULTICHOICE, MTN, STANBIC IBTC BANK, SHOPRITE and others to close their businesses in their own interest within 7 days commencing from today. In the same vein, we request that South African nationals in Nigeria should return to their home country as we no longer can watch them enjoy peaceful living in Nigeria while our citizens in their country continue to pay with their dear lives for no reason other than being industrious and resourceful in their businesses and career. We have consistently maintained that diplomacy has failed in addressing the xenophobic question. We have heard and seen diplomatic measures put in place without any sincere action taken by the South African government. We have seen again that the people of South Africa are not committed to peaceful coexistence with other nationals hence the wanton killings and destruction of other Africans. We have now come to a point where action is required to safeguard Nigerians and enforce their dignity. To this end, we announce the commencement of 'Operation Clampdown' on South Africans and their businesses in Nigeria. The death of corps member raped and murdered in Imo state just days to passing out details has been revealed Lillian Mgbanwa, Chukwuemeka Eze To any average and forward-looking student, there is always a dream to be somebody after graduation. But to 27-year-old Lillian Mgbanwa, her dream to become a chartered accountant was cut short on Sunday by one Chukwuemeka Eze, who allegedly raped her and murdered her. An Accountancy graduate of Nasarawa Polytechnic, late Lillian Mgbanwa was doing the mandatory National Youth Service at the St Gregory Missionary Secondary School, Amiri, Oru-East LGA, Imo State, when she met her untimely death in the hands of men suspected to be ritualists, operating from Mgbidi, Imo State. Parading the only suspect so far arrested for the crime, Chukwuemeka Eze, at the Imo State Police Command, Owerri, the Police Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, said that Eze’s arrest was part of the success of Operation Puff Adder recently launched nationwide by the Inspector General of Police. According to him, “here is Chukwuemeka Eze, who murdered a ex- youth corps member, Lillian Mgbanwa, after raping her.” Mba said: “on July 2, 2019, Eze, who pretended to be insane, deaf and dumb, took an android phone belonging to his prey to the shop of one Ahamefule Onyeka for charging. Onyeka , who suspected Eze as he could not defend the calls coming into the phone, reported the development to the police in Oru West. This suspect was arrested and he confessed that he took away the ex-corps member’s phone after raping her to death.” However, our investigation reveals that late Mgbanwa was still serving her nation when she met her death. A source close to Lillian’s youth corps colleagues said that she went to join her colleagues in Mgbidi on Saturday for their skill acquisition training in tailoring. After the day’s training, she decided to sleep over as it was too late to return to her house. It was alleged that on her way home, Eze, and his gang forcibly dragged her to their hideout where she was raped and murdered. The source said they suspected that Lillian was killed for rituals as her killers harvested some vital organs from her body and completely severed her head from the body. Full details click the link below: https://www.voiceairmedia.com/2019/07/corps-member-raped-and-murdered-in-imo_12.html Sources close to the community said that the people have been living in perpetual fear as Eze and his group have continuously raped and killed their victims.

One of the most beautiful, exciting, enjoyable and preferred moments in one's life, is to successfully complete any undergoing programme(s). The following is your new phrase; if I could guess right. Veni, vidi, vici I came, I saw, I conquered Yes! Without any iota of doubt, you truly conquered so many hurdles associated with the programme that was tied to your future employment in Nigeria long before your existence as a human being. First and foremost, l want to employ this platform to congratulate you for successfully getting to the end of your post higher institution mandatory programme. School or campus life is different from the NYSC life; I don't need to tell you such, you just experienced the distinction, but the most wearisome and frustrating experience is, life after NYSC without employment or source(s) of income. EMPLOYMENT Those jobs you think that are outside the four-wall of your Alma Mater, are nothing but utopian, illusion or let me say perhaps you hallucinating. This is the appropriate time for you to drop that your over hyped statement (I'm a graduate) and swiftly swing into a profitable action, who graduate help? Roll up your sleeves and do something to better your dear life. All the skills you learn or acquired during the programme must be put to practice if indeed you don't want to join the league of lamenters and wailers. Indeed! The successive governments of this country have over the years failed you as a citizen. In spite of the fact! Must you also fail yourself? As we celebrate the father's day, I feel a dashing pain in my heart, a pain inflicted by the lackadaisical attitude of the so called fathers in the Nation towards EDUCATION, the bedrock of the nation building'. Olajide Elijah Oluwafemi aka Aare They see no reason for improving or contributing to making the educational state a better one because their children are not entangled in the web of this educational crisis. After series of strike, school fees hike, so much effort put in by the student to pass and earn a certificate, they become graduates whose certificates is laid waste because of the unemployment in the country. A quote from president Buhari stated "Degree certificate is not assurance to get a Job" It is so sardonic that the value of our Education is directly proportional to the value of our Naira, both have drastically devalued to the extent that a certificate earned remains a paper useless to the holder. What troubles me most is not the rate of unemployment in the country but the sensitisation of vocational training preached by the so called government who have failed in every dimension in giving the youths a better future. A Human Right, good governance and social justice advocacy group, Youth Advocates For Peace Justice And Empowerment Network (YAPJEN) has called on the President Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government and the Inspector General of Police to take urgent steps and adopt stringent measures to redeem the image of the Nigerian Police Force and restore the confidence of the citizens in the force. Amb. Timothy Nwachukwu, The Executive Director, Youth Advocates For Peace Justice And Empowerment Network (YAPJEN) has advocated that regular training programmes should be organized to enhance professionalism and productivity of the Nigerian police in the critical areas of investigation, intelligence gathering, guard duties, surveillance/conflict resolution and management, prevention of cases. Timothy Nwachukwu, A model United Nations Ambassador while addressing a cross section of Activitist in Awka the State capital showered encomiums on Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Mustapha Danduara for the recent strides of the State Command which include the recent apprehension of the killers of an Undergraduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka who was gruesomely and senselessly murdered and her body dropped at Government quarters Awka, arrest of Cultist and criminals rampaging within the state. YAPJEN Executive Director however identified Corrupt Practices as the bane of effective Policing in Nigeria. He stated that Policing in Nigeria has been bedevilled by a culture of corruption and lack of accountability as some police officers engage in various forms of extortion of money from the public at several check point while some citizens are made to part with their hard earned resources at ATM point, thus leaving their victims and helpless citizens losing hope in the police whose primary duty is to secure it's citizens. The Peoples Advocate as he is widely known pointed out that Insufficient funding by the Government has impeded the performance of the security Agency. He stated that unknown to many Nigerians, most police officers buy the cloth materials for their uniforms and sew them with their personal money, buy their shoes, buy recharge cards to make calls on cases. He stated that the only thing the Nigeria Police officers don’t buy for themselves is perhaps their guns and bullets as most times even the guns are fastened around their shoulders with whatever ropes they can hands upon and He therefore called on the Federal Government to increase it's budgetary allocation to the police force. Amb. Timothy Nwachukwu in a statement made available to VAM News charged the Leadership of the Nigeria Police force to intensify its partnership with civil Society organizations in holding seminars, symposia, workshops and conferences aimed at changing the minds of its personnel on corruption as to enhance their integrity.
