bowee4u:
To all our Igbo brothers and sisters, please bear in mind that those making inciting statements against you because of Lagos politics do not represent the Yorubas.

All of them have their children living abroad with dual citizenship, thier children vote abroad without any harassment, and politicians abroad do not destroy their children's businesses and send them back to Nigeria. The same people have ruined Nigeria as a Nation, hence cannot represent the good people of Yoruba land.

Kindly ignore their statements as the good people of Lagos irrespective of tribe will defend and protect you if the need arises. My Sincere Apology to You All.

Please can someone tell me, why the Yorubas, using O. P. C, under Iba Gani Adams and Late Dr Fedric Faseun fought against the Hausa Fulanis in 2003, when Tinubu was governor of Lagos State and in Shagamu.
This should be a question for those who see the IGBOS, as meddlesome interloper in the affairs of Yoruba land.

Igbo tribalism and hatred for Yoruba will not allow them to vote the best housemate. Yemi was a strong contender, charismatic and good looking. He also briought a lot of drama into the show but surprisingly, he got eliminated. The like of Ebubu, Yvone and Tanaga junior are still in the show. You still will be surprised an Igbo housemate will win at last. When you tell Yoruba youth about this BBN conspiracy, they argue.

Can you see how tribalism has eaten your head so deep?

Am all ears go on please.
Thank you.
(1) I want to tell you, that between the IGBOS and Yorubas, there's no problems at all.
I haven't seen what will bring that, but we talk about it later.
(2) There's no where, any Igboman or woman, want to take Yoruba land at all. IGBOS have been in the SW, including Lagos State, land before independence, when lots of people making this comments are not even born.
IGBOS, have been in Lagos State, when the only developed place you can call Lagos State, was only the mainland and Island.
When places like AJ city, Okoko, Ajangbadi and all the surbubs were there but not developed, they didn't take them then, why now?
(3) Are there no IGBOS in other parts of Yoruba land aside Lagos State, why are they IGBOS not taking their lands there?
(4) Why are they at peace in Ogun, Oyo, Ekiti , Ondo, Osun states, but are seen as meddle some interloper in Lagos State.?
(5) Is there anything, the IGBOS have in Yoruba land, that is given to them Free of charge, because you talked about being generous?
Let's discuss this one's first before others, do that it is not too cumbersome

[quote author=Ritchiee post=121886080]
Igbo, lies, covetiousness, wickedness and deceit are like head and neck.
1.
Igbos started sharing power with the Hausas from independence. They controlled the civil service.Yoruba were marginalised because they said they were in opposition.
Yoruba did not cry but looked up to God.
Yorubas still came out tops.

2.
Igbos, because they were not satisfied with being second in command to the Hausas even with all their power in the civil service, due to covetiousness, carried out the first coup and took the baton of power from Hausa killing Hausas,Yorubas,South southerners,Midwesterners but leaving their Igbo brethren. shocked

3.
In order to have absolute control and power,Igbos introduced unitary system of govt so that everyone will be bringing what they sweated for in their land to them so that they can share the bounties indsciminately and without fairness."Baboon dey work, monkey dey chop" .

4.
Igbos, with greediness and their reknowned covetiousness, left Igboland to seek to be Premier of the Yorubas in Ibadan which was the most developed place in Nigeria then.
Eyeing other people's properties has always been in Igbos'blood.Na wah o shocked

5.
There were series of Igbo betrayal of the Hausas whom they killed, betrayed Yoruba to join Hausas to form govt and also killing them(Yorubas),betraying South South and killing their leaders etc.

6.
After the civil war,Igbos still betrayed their Southern brothers by joining the Hausa/Fulani again to form NPN govt.Yorubas were marginalised but they looked up to God for succour.

7.
Igbos still later betrayed their Southern brothers to form PDP with Hausa/Fulani,marginalising the Yorubas but Yorubas still looked up to God,the Comforter.

8.
Even when Nigeria voted for Abiola en mass, majority of Igbos voted for Tofa whom they hardly knew just to show hatred and betrayal to Yorubas.

9.
After Abiola whose victory was annuled,Nigerians decided to compesate the Yorubas.Yorubas brought Falae, their choice but Ekwueme and some Northerners went to bring Obasanjo from prison knowing well that Obasanjo had always gone against the interest of Yorubas from inception. Our Igbo brothers were happy. They voted massively for Obasanjo to spite the Yorubas who expectedly did not vote for him.

10.
It was only in 2015 that Yorubas, since 1960 that Igbos have been in govt with the Hausa/Fulani,that Yorubas finally went federal in alliance with some Northerners.

The truth is:
Igbos are serial betrayers.
Igbos have always acted greedy and covetiously.
Igbos have always been marginalising themselves because they have been in power with Hausas (and even Obasanjo) since independence.
Igbos have always fought to control Yorubaland, first Ibadan as would-be-premier and then Lagos, which Okpara,Azikiwe and co labelled "no man's land".
The questions are why did Igbos marginalised themselves when they were in govt?
Why are they so greedy and covetious?
Why are they so fixated on Yorubaland?
Why cant they live with the noble, accommodating Yorubas amicably and without acrimony?
Why,why,why?

Guber Polls: Tribalism Hidden In The Foundations Of Our Country Have Come Out - Bolanle Olukanni

Nigerian media personality, Bolanle Olukanni has shared her thoughts on the tribal sentiments witnessed in the gubernatorial and house of assembly held on Saturday, March 18, IGBERETV reports.

In a post shared on her Twitter handle, Bolanle wrote;

God bless you my sister. In 1952 or there about. An Hausa/Fulani man was elected the 1 mayor of the whole of Eastern Nigeria. It was celebrated, he was there, till the civil war began, until Awolowo came after and sowed the seed of tribalism and nepotism. Over 70yrs after, we are yet to heal from it's devastating effect.
In this election, under Buhari and APC, a big sword, has been driven into the soul of the unity of this country.
It's a shame, that Nigerians are being profiled,by party and tribe, before the can vote in an election, in Lagos State, that is the center of excellence. Till nor, neither President Buhari, his Vice- President, Senate President, Speaker of the House of Reps, nor the president-elect, have said anything against it.
It's a seed, it has been sown, only God knows how long it will take to get it out of fabric of the nation.

There's no state in the South East, that have not produced a Senate President. So it means little or nothing to us.

Will you shut da eff up. We're you born without commonsense or just disingenuous? You think it is normal for one group of people alone to be targeted out of over 500 ethnic groups in Nigeria?

Maybe Igbos, instead of playing victims deceitfully, should look at themselves and their antics in Ghana, Indonesia, Thailand, Kenya, South Africa and many places worldwide that has gotten them even worse treatment.

You people are too dishonest and born without nil power of sincere introspection. Yorubas are some of the most tolerant and accommodating people in the entire world yet you people alone have draw their ire.

You have always gone around with a misplaced and fraudulent sense of persecution complex yet you will never leave or stop going where you claim you are persecuted unjustly. Is that not madness?

You don't like others and clearly others have issues with you. Why then keep walking, with your two feet, to their land to live, hustle and work?

Your post, shows how nasty, clanish, despicable you are.
Your most are the most accommodating tribe in the world, you massacred the Hsusa/Fulani in your domain here in Lagos in 2003, You did the same in Shagamu, Mile12, Ajegunle, Orile Oshodi. Yet in 2023, you are yet planning another against the IGBOS.
Tell me one tribe in the whole world that are without bad egg?.
For as much as you have refused to see what is good in others,I will not toe that line with you,by condemning all the Yorubas.
With the exception of lunatics like you, I know that there are so many of the good Yorubas around, sound in character, spirit and other wise.
Yorubas, should stop been threatened by the success of the strangers in their midst. This is your problem.
Yorubas, always want to be in control and dorminate others. Wherever a Yoruba is not in control, he wants to destroy it. This is greatest challenge.
You like to give to others, what you cannot take, and expect from others, what you cannot give.
As you see nothing good in others, there lots that are worst that resides with your people.
The IGBOS, for long wants to exit this geographical contraption called Nigeria, on a good number of time, but it's those of you at the high places, that have suppressed it.
If you don't want them in your land, tell your legislator and political leaders, to initiate moves at the national assembly, to actualize their exit.
Hope you are aware, there is a group, known as Coalition of Northern Nigeria ( CN G). That have taken a position and the matter is in court, that the IGBOS should peaceful leave Nigeria, that is the way to go.
IGBOS are not afraid, neither can they be intimidated by any tribe, not even the Yorubas.
IGBOS, can never play the second fiddle in Nigeria
Let this get into you stupid brain.

Oga, there are other tribes in Lagos State, why igbos claiming Lagos is a no man's land, they are too arrogant. This is how they caused trouble in South Africa, Malaysia, Dubai and some other countries spoiling the image of Nigeria. If you give them small opportunity to use your property, they will want to claim that property.

I don't want to be hard on you, going by your post. Saying that Lagos State, is a No MAN'S Land, is quite unreasonable. A piece of Land, belongs to someone. As IGBOS say it's a no man's land, but when they buy lands here, somebody collects money from them and give them receipt. This shows you, that someone owns the land.
There's no tribe in Nigeria, that has no bad side. Your Yoruba side, has their own negative, which I don't want to mention here. I'm a victim of the bad side of Yoruba, that I don't want to talk about here.
But in my post, you didn't address the point that I raised. If IGBOS are these bad, answer the following question.
(1) How lands of the Yorubas and Lagosian, have the IGBOS collected from any South western states, where they stay? Is it only in Lagos State, in the whole of Yoruba land that they stay?
(2) If Yorubas are too good, as you want us to believe, why do they always fight against the strangers in their land. I just told you of the one in 2003, between the Yorubas and the Hsusas, in Shagamu, it happened,in Mile12, it happened all between the Hsusas and the Yorubas?
A bad work man always quarrel with his stools. If you are bad, you are bad, no two ways about it.
2023, the IGBOS are been threatened in the place where you say you are generous.
Yorubas, have one dirty character, I will like you all to purge, stop been threatened, by the successes of your visitors or the strangers that lives with you.
You lost election in Lagos State, all IGBOS must die, but you forgot that it's not all IGBOS, that voted Obi, some IGBOS, voted for APC. Some Yorubas voted for Obi. This is democracy, you can't force every one to your side
Thanks

This is Lagos island not Lagos State.

Just like Oyo state is different from Oyo town.

Enugu town is different from Enugu state

Lagos State is a Creation of the Nigerian military government.

By the way, there is nothing contentious in saying Lagos State is Yoruba land.

The whole of Nigeria once belonged to Royal Niger company as a private property. It doesn't mean there were no indigenous Hasuas in Kano or indigenous Igbos in Anambra at that time.

There's no point for all these, if the Yorubas, didn't raise it. Every piece of Land has an owner, Lagos State is not exempted. When you, as a stranger, buys land, there are people that you pay to and the give you receipt.
Saying Lagos State, us a Yoruba land, is an over statement. Let put it in the right perspective.
Every land in South West, is not for all Yorubas. Lagos State, belongs to the AWORIS.
It must be made clear. Saying it's a Yoruba land, when no Aworiman or woman can go to any state in the SW and contest for any elective post as they do in Lagos State, defeats the argument that it's a Yoruba.
Every state in the SW, have their land and boundaries, any trespass, by anybody from any neighbouring state, will be challenged.
Let us tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
The Aworis are been marginalized in their state, no one is addressing that. Period.

I don't know why, it's always when Tinubu is in power, that other tribes in Lagos State are attached.
In 2003, when he was the governor of Lagos State, OPC, under the leadership of Are Gani Adams and Dr Fedric Faseun, fought against the Hausa/Fulani in Lagos State, the Hsusas lost lots of people then. If you can remember vividly African China sang a song to that effect ( dem kill man ooo for inside Ajegunle, I I say I and you say P, Omo na you Sabi, dem kill man ooo for inside Ajegunle.)
That song was a reminder to the tribal war in Lagos State, under Tinubu. Thank God, for Obj, who mobilized forces to Lagos,to quell the war.
2023. drum of war, is been beaten again in the same Lagos State, when the same Tinubu, has been declared as Nigerian's president- elect.
There's the need therefore for him and other well meaning Lagosians and Yorubas to speak up and out over the impending altercation, before it gets out of control
War between the IGBOS and Yorubas in Lagos State, insecurity in the NE, NW, NC and South East, can Nigeria survive it?
This is my though.

[quote inauthor=Rapuru14 post=121739857]If Lagos were to be located somewhere around east and Igbo historical relationship with Lagos happened to be what Yoruba is to Lagos today believe me Lagos would have been a true centre of excellence and melting point of all talents in Nigeria.

Do you know why I share this sentiment, Igbos irrespective of their weaknesses love competition. They would be happy to welcome any talent that will challenge what they already have. This is the reason why Igbos have many rich men because everyone wants to be the best. Though it attracts some envy but the positive effects of competitive mindset is more than the backdrops.

Here we have supposed intelligent Yorubas fighting a tribe divinely blessed just because they feel Igbos are outshining them.

What stops you from shinning your own in your own way? Or you don't trust God to make you also shine through your efforts?

The world is fast moving. If the few demonically tribalistic Yorubas don't change, they will be left behind.

On a lighter note, I am married to an Igbo woman, one of the brightest, most considerate person I have ever known.

Thanks.
What the IGBOS want in Nigeria is all about inclusiveness. The Nigerian nation, after the war, have place the IGBOS, in a pariah state, this has brought about the hatred for the IGBOS, in almost all parts of the nation.
See how long it took the IGBOS, to produce one chief of Army staff, IG of Police.
Of all the regions, we have the least of States, just five, when some have up to 7. Do you know what this means?
We are 3 senators, short of other regions, short of 1constitutionally allowed minister etc.
The IGBOS, wants a peaceful place, where they can do their business without obstruction.
It's not all IGBOS, that favours the secession.
It's the lack of inclusion, that is oiling the engine of secession.
Greet my sister for me.

Politics / Re: Staunch Tinubu Supporter Threatens To Burn Down Igbo Businesses In Lagos by honeyB2018: 8:12pm On Mar 12, 2023
RZArecta:
A staunch Tinubu supporter and prominent Nairaland member Batified2023 has promised to go on an arson and terrorism spree by burning igbo owned businesses in Lagos after the March 18th 2023 elections.
He repeatedly used the subject pronoun "we" meaning that a decision could already have been made by higher authorities within the APC as a party in support of this impending carnage though it has not been verified yet but we sane Nigerians pray it is not so.
We will keep you posted in the following days and weeks after the elections to know if the threat was carried out but in the meantime, we urge all security operatives to take proactive measures against this terrorist threat.

Please report this post to Seun and any other government agency that matters. This can't be taken lightly.

Politics / Re: Lagos Is Yoruba State And Yoruba Land- Yul Edochie by honeyB2018: 3:18pm On Mar 12, 2023

lol "Yoruba Ronu" is not noise, it was coined by Akintola a prominent Yoruba politician back in the 60s in a broadcast when Awolowo decided to bring igbos into the party.....he warned that the igbos were not to be trusted, and that if we are not careful one day they would claim our land is theirs.....guess what happened? The igos betrayed Awo during the elections and ensured he failed, the igbos then went to start a coup killing leaders from other tribes including Akintola while sparring the lives of their own elders infacr fir deniability purpose zik and ironsi were conviently out the country the day the coup happened but somehow magically appeared the day after to take power......today we have igbos claiming Lagos is no man's land when none of their fathers know of its history......so when we say "Yoruba Ronu" it is not noise, it is a stern warning to all Omoluabis to remember who they are and not allow outsiders who cannot welcome us in their house to take over ours......

You don't know your history. Go and ask your father and other political leaders in the SW, to tell you how carpet crossing and tribalism in the politics Nigeria started.
If you don't know, know it that the SW under Awo were the originator of tribalism, carpet crossing and betrayal in Nigeria
