Please, why is Oluomo after the IGBOS in Lagos State, every election?
2019, at Oshodi area, it was as so,at Okota, it was so.
2023, it was more brazen. Is democracy not about choice again?
In every election, there will be winners and losers, the majority by what ever means, will have their way, why the minority will have their say.
Why don't you vote your choice and allow me vote mine?
In 2019, at Iba, LCDA, Oluomo's friend did the same why?
This is the reason, we must not allow evil in the land to grow. The Oba of Lagos's action, threatening to throw the IGBOS to the Lagoon, if his candidate Ambode wasn't voted for, in my view is the reason for this.
All my years in Lagos as a voter, I have never seen this.
God please show us your mercy in Nigeria and Lagos State in Jesus name amen

Is it not safe to say that all these while, APC have not truly been winning elections in Lagos??

They didn't imagine that LP of yesterday could uproot them without stress. Infact, they had to resort to violence, intimidation, rewriting of figures in order to close up the figures, otherwise, the true result would have been very embarrassing that Tinubu would have sacked every APC member in that Lagos, including MC Oluomo.

Please, MC. Oluomo and the rest of the Yoruba nation, should realize that Obidient family is a movement, it's not about Peter Obi, IGBOS or Biafra supporters.
In 2014, when APC came with the matra change, I remember precisely Lai Mohammed, coming on air to say that Buhari is a movement that nobody can control. He said specifically that the movement is out of their hands, but now in the hands of Nigerians.
Obidient family, is beyond any tribe or religion. Lots non- IGBOS voted for Obi and Labour party.
They should allow peace to reign in the land.

You want to come to Lagos and decide for us who becomes governor

We will tell you who owns Lagos
How can you call people’s land a no man’s land?

It is our land and we own it!! Every OMOLUABI , Lagos belongs to you and you own it!!! And it is free for all, we love our guests and they love us too except for some that got too comfortable and challenge our land with us

Sanwo olu for second term.

You used sentiments to campaign against Tinubu
Muslim Muslim ticket, he’s old, he’s sick etc

Pls what do they have against Sanwo Olu the best performing governor in Nigeria

Omoluabis should come out massively and vote Sanwo Olu
Obidient is not GRV they are different
GRV chinedu has shown so much disdain for Yoruba, he insulted a people he want to govern and he has declared himself a full time Ipob biafran Apologist.
We say no to a tribal bigot that can’t even speak Yoruba. God forbid!!!!!

Don’t stay at home, come out and tell your friends to come out and vote massively for Sanwo Olu.
The 4th largest economy in Africa is not an apprentice shop for Chinedu to experiment

Can you listen to yourself?
Who's dragging the ownership of Lagos State with you? We know the Aworis own Lagos State, no doubt about it. But this is a democracy where everyone has the right to vote and be voted for. No one can tell you who to vote for, but other people from Yoruba land are coming here to dictate for you. Take a look.
Awolowo from Ogun State played his politics here.
M. K..O from Ogun State played his politics here.
Solomon Olamilekan from Ogun State played his politics here.
James Faleke from Kogi played his politics here.
The son of Lai Mohammed from Kwara played his politics here.
Deputy Gov of Lagos State, presently from Ogun State, played his politics here.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, from Iragbaji in Osun State, plays his politics here
So when will an Awori man go to anywhere in South West and play his politics even as a councillor?
You want to deny a bonafide son of Lagos State opportunity to rule Lagos State, because he didn't marry a Yoruba woman?
Tinubu from Osun State, didn't marry from Yoruba land.
So who's fooling who?

Politics / Re: 2023 Election That Produced Tinubu As President-elect Not Perfect –buhari's Aide by honeyB2018: 12:57pm On Mar 03, 2023
ogododo:
Adesina disclosed this in an article titled, ‘FOR PMB, IT’S NIGERIA AND NOTHING ELSE’ shared on his official Facebook page on Thursday.

Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity says that there were irregularities in the just concluded Saturday elections.

Adesina disclosed this in an article titled, ‘FOR PMB, IT’S NIGERIA AND NOTHING ELSE’ shared on his official Facebook page on Thursday.

Electoral Body, INEC had declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the winner of the February 25 presidential election and subsequently the president-elect.

The former Lagos governor won with 8,794,726 votes, nearly two million more votes than his fiercest challengers, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who scored 6,984,520 and Labour Party (LP)’s Peter Obi, who got 6,101,533.

The total votes cast were 24,965,218, out of which 939,278 were rejected votes.

However, PDP and LP had called for the cancellation of the presidential election over allegations that INEC did not comply with the law in the collation and announcement of results.

The PDP and LP first made their positions known at a Tuesday press conference attended by their vice-presidential candidates, Ifeanyi Okowa and Datti Baba-Ahmed respectively.

“The election was a sham, and never free and fair,” said Okowa of the PDP, a position corroborated by the LP’s vice-presidential candidate.

Their main grouse is that INEC failed to upload the results of elections in the over 170,000 polling units onto a central server (IReV) as required by law.

That step should have been done before the collation and announcement of results, they said.

In his article, Adesina admitted irregularities in the electioneering process but said his principal, President Buhari was never part of any ‘mago-mago’

He said, “The first phase of the 2023 elections has been held, to elect a new President, and National Assembly members. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been declared the winner and issued a Certificate of Return. Was it a perfect election? Not so. Electronic transmission of results failed, due to technical glitches, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had to resort to manual collation.

“Joseph Stalin, the Soviet Union tyrant had been credited with saying: ‘Those who cast the votes decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything.’ But one thing is definite about President Buhari. He would never be part of any mago-mago or wuruwuru. Just give him unimpeachable evidence of underhand dealings, and he throws you away like a bad habit.

“The President’s first loyalty is to the country. Unflinching. Unassailable. Despite being a loyal party man, and committed to the candidate of his party, whom he went round the country campaigning for, he told Nigerians several times: vote for the candidate of your choice across the parties. That’s the heart of a father, a man beyond partisan considerations, as a democratically elected President.

“To prove cynics and septics wrong, the man displayed his ballot paper last Saturday, after voting for APC candidates. Some lawyers have criticized the action, saying it runs contrary to electoral laws. But we know why the President did it. To shut the mouths of conspiracy theorists, who had been trying to establish that he was against the candidate of his party.

“There are contentions about the declared results. Yes, it is part of good electoral practices that those who have issues should be listened to. Even the President himself challenged election results up to Supreme Court three times. When he was ruled out the third time, he said “God dey.” And God eventually showed up. The Almighty is still at work in Nigeria.

“President Buhari has provided a level playing field for all contestants in the election. Any other contrary thing was not at his instance or instigation. Couldn’t have been. He remains the authentic Nigerian hero, a stickler for integrity, accountability and rectitude.”

The president, has enough blame to take from here. As innocent as you would want us to be believe he was, the question he should answer is this.
(1) Was he aware of the protest of the opposition parties to the process that brought about the rest?
(2) As commander in chief as one who wants us to believe he was innocent, what did he do? Was he not briefed by those concerned?
(3) Why didn't he order that the procedure be respected? When Obj saw the mess and wrote him, what did he say? Your actions and inactions determines your level of culpability.
One day, we shall all stand to give account to God. Don't worry, you can cheat ad deny people their right, but you will account for it one day before God.

Politics / Re: Lagos Guber Election: Ęnù Dún R'ófò! - "Says Sanwoolu" by honeyB2018: 12:52am On Mar 03, 2023
GlobalPR:
Ęnù dún r'ófò!

That's how the Yorubas of South West Nigeria stylishly dismiss any individual who builds castles in the air with mere words. The English would say "it's easier said than done."

Governing Lagos is no easy task and that is why I can't but pity some political lackeys who call themselves candidates of opposition parties who are busy promising extravagant hopes and plans that will never be carried out.

To be Lagos State governor, you need capacity; that astounding virtue born of experience and skill. Next you need grit, otherwise known as courage, resolve or strength of character. Why? Because being Governor of Lagos comes with the need to take certain hard decisions for the benefit of citizens. You see why I said ęnù dùn r'ofò? Lagos is Africa's model megacity and it's 5th largest economy, so not every impressionable lad is fit to be governor.

From Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose time in office set Lagos on the irreversible path to greatness to Babatunde Raji Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode, Lagos has had the enviable luck of having only the best and brightest as governor. Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has continued the tradition of raising the bar of exceptional leadership in the public space like his predecessors.

Upon being sworn in as governor on May 29th, 2019, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu immediately hit the ground running because "Èko o gbà gbèré," which loosely translates to, "Lagos waits for no one." The waste management crises occasioned by the ill-fated Visionscape Project of the last administration had turned Lagos into a sprawling refuse dump and Governor Sanwo-Olu wasted no time in tackling the menace. Soon, sanity returned to waste  management and Lagosians are breathing easily. Sanwo-Olu has gone on to create a sanitary landfill.

Talk of proven capacity to tackle multiple issues confronting a megacity like Lagos simultaneously and Governor Sanwo-Olu easily comes to mind. His administration has repositioned the Lagos State Fire Service for greater effectiveness by recruiting over 650 fire servicemen and acquiring 64 brand new fire trucks to enhance their ability to respond to and tackle incidents of fire outbreaks across the state. Going forward, the service continues to improve on its core values of safety, discipline and professionalism for the benefit of all Lagosians.

The construction of over 1,700 kilometers of rigid pavement roads across the state is in line with the THEMES development agenda Governor Sanwo-Olu launched on assuming office to make Lagos a truly 21st century economy. The 4th Mainland bridge, an ambitious 38km long bridge project which will connect Langbasa (Lekki) and Ikorodu across the Lagos lagoon has kicked off under the Sanwo-Olu administration. Projected to cost over 2 billion dollars, the 4th Mainland bridge is expected to be completed in 4 years and Governor Sanwo-Olu has restated his commitment to bringing the vision to pass.

Just like he successfully delivered the Lagos Blue Line Rail Project which was started in 2009 by the Fashola administration, Governor Sanwo-Olu continues to abide by the Lagos State Development Plan 2052 to become Africa’s Model Mega City and Global, Economic and Financial Hub that is Safe, Secure, Functional and Productive. Spurred by the desire to fully deliver on his promises, Governor Sanwo-Olu is the undisputed choice to be governor for another four years. He has the experience, expertise, temperament and knows what makes Lagos work. Dear Lagosians, don't be swayed by mere words. Never forget...

Ęnù dún r'ófò!

My brother, those that have governed hot states like Lagos State before, where did they get their experience from?
I know where you are headed to.
You want neither Jandor nor Gbadebo period.
On that day, kindly vote for your choice, and allow others, to do same. Let there be no disruption and suppression of voters, who wants to cast their votes. Whosoever wins, is our governor by the grace of God.

Tinubu was the same man who open the doors of politics to Ibos when he was governor of Lagos state. How did Ibos repay him? They spread lies, hate and evil propaganda against him.

Despite all these, he DEFEATED them CONVINCINLY to become the 5th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Your hatred for the Igbos, will kill you and your generation.
Igbos never hated Tinubu, Tinubu never opened the door of politics to the Igbos. Go and check the records of politics in Lagos State, before Tinubu become governor, Igbos in Lagos, have been participating in the politics of Lagos and election. Go to Ajeromi/ Ifelodun LGA and ask. Ask of Barr. CHIDI, he will tell you.
He appointed an Igbo man into his cabinet, when he was governor, quite well, but who was the man? Was he a novice?
Check well before you talk. The contribution of the Igbos, in the development of Lagos State, can't be compared with that of any tribe.
So it wasn't in vain that he did that and the Igbos, voted massively for him then.

Honestly, I think that there's something wrong with this election. The following are my findings.
(1) All the states that usually will post millions of votes as their results in previous elections, none did it this time. E.g, the KKK states and the whole of Northwest. What happened?
(2) Lagos collected the highest PVC in Nigeria, yet it couldn't pull up to 2m votes. What happened?:
(3) In 2015, Buhari got over 15m, to be president of Nigeria, G E J, got close to 13m.
Buhari and Jonathan, averaged about 26m votes, but in 2023, the winner, just got paltry 8.7m, out of over 87m, to be declared as the president-elect.
Both the president-elect and the other contestants, couldn't amase up to 23m, neither did the measure up to the result of 2015- 2019 elections.
Over 87m collected PVC, but less 25m voted, and for 8.7m votes, Nigeria has a president-elect.
Where are we going from where we're now?
Are we making progress at all in our electoral process?

Are you not stupid to have made this kind of remarks about the people of South East?
Where there no supporters of Tinubu in the South East? Did you hear that APC supporters in the region, were intimidated and stopped from voting? Where there no votes from the South East, that formed part of Tinubu's 8.7m votes that made him President?
Apart from Lagos State, kindly show any state in the South West, where did Peter Obi mae any appreciable vote, of his over 6m votes.
During the time of PVC collection, Bauchi State, was said to have had 99% of PVC collection, how did this happen, when in the South East, their PVCs where found in the bushes, In Lagos here, it was found on the roads and some were prevented from even collecting theirs, all these never mattered to you, what you are after, was the determined efforts of the people, to vote for their choice.
You should be ashamed of yourself.
dalass:

No way !
There's no hatred for the Yorubas,by the Igbos. It's just the imagination of the unenlightened and educated idiots amongst the Yorubas, that are promoting this.
Afenifere, Pa Ayo, Obj,etc supported Peter Obi, in his quest to become president.
In 1999, The Igbo backed Obj, twice to become President, when the Yorubas left him
Igbos and Yorubas, still intermarry. My house in my village, a Yoruba man, as a carpenter by name Ayo, is in charge. He has married my sister and they have 2Children. My uncles married from Yoruba land. Lots of us in Lagos and other parts of Yoruba land, live in houses built by Yorubas.

This is one of the most stupid and sentimental report ever, to have come from the stable of daily post.
First, what' re the components of any state economy? Is it only the retail businesses and hospitality, as mentioned in the post. Who controls other sectors of the state economies and why are the not mentioned? Why the singling of the Igbos only? ANOTHER GENOCIDE LOADING.
Secondly, was there any attempt, by the Igbos in the mentiloned states and report, to prevent the indegenes from developing along side tbe Igbos in the said sector? ONE CAN CLEARLY, FROM THIS REPORT SEE THE REASON BEHIND THE HATRED FOR THE IGBOS IN NIGERIA ( daily post, who control the oil and security sectors of tbe economy)
Thirdly, have you ever considered why majority of tbe Igbos are into retail businesses? This is tbe cause of the agitation, A country, where merit is sacrifice for mediocrity, people will be forced to the area, where they have coparative advantage
The Igbos are not only good in commerce, when allowed to strive like other tribes, can equally do well.
That doesn't mean other tribes are not, good, but equal opportunities are not given to them like others, hence all the energeis are chanled into commerce.
To prove that another genocide and case of abandon property is not in the offing, daily post as news medium and the reporters in the 31 states, should also a report on who control the other sectors in the ecomomy of the respective states
They can tell us also, why one tribe is in control of the security appartus of a whole country..

The cloud is gathering, but the have refused to see the signs.
There should be a phased withdrawal plan, by the Igbos or dot nation to the North in the next 5yrs.
Everything is not about money and business. Life is precious.Once lost, can't be regained
From all indication, going by comments on social media, the Igbos are into a big thing in the North, tbat they may not handle in the near future.

Politics / Re: IPOB Kills 13 Northern Traders In Enugu, Imo In One Week by honeyB2018: 8:53pm On Apr 05, 2021
Let me begin my comment, by condemning in totality, all kinds of violence, crimes and criminality, and waste of lives and properties. Especially, that of lives, because once wasted, cannot be replaced.
Be that as it may, this healine, in my view, is evil, dangerous and calculated to cause trouble for the Igbos in Nigeria.
Look at the cause of the problem in Enugu, how it was sublined and the causative effect of the incident, brought to life. The man, who was shot and attempt to revive himq blocked, is his life, not as important as those killed?
Who wasted the lives of 20 people in Ebonyi?
Is their own lives also not as valuable as they ones lost in Imo State?
I'm not in anyway, in support of any loss of life by anyone, under what ever guise, but casting the headline, the way it's done here, is quite devilish and smack of hatred for the Igbo nation.
Despite the fact that, not all Igbos are I POB members, any issue, the has to do with IPOB, is always, viewed from the prism of the Igbos by other tribes in Nigeria. So when it is headlined IPOB killed 13 Hausa men in one week, all eyes are fixed on the Igbos, where ever the may be
But Hausa/ Fulani, have killed 21 Igbos in Enugu and Imo, within the space of one week., heaven did not fall.
This is the reason, we must all stand against thi babarick act of wastage of lives and properties, by anyone, group pr tribe. It pays no dividend at all.
When it happens like this, families of the killed are devastated, children are left uncared for and the future of the wives, children and relatives left behind are affect.
This lind of headline, should be jettisioned to discourage reprisal attack.

Mr Fashola, as governor of the state, when the expansion of this road into ten lane began, you told who ever cares to hear, that funds for the completion of this road was ready.
Mr Minister of works and former governor, where are the funds you said was ready then and why is government owing the contractor again?
We need an answer, Hon.Minster.
