RomanceRe: Should I Marry Her by HRhotness(f): 1:39pm On Apr 29, 2008
Its hard not to get personal when u are of the position that being born out of wedlock would affect the child in some way
being in that situation myself, i know for certain that its not a valid argument

u mean u never missed/ asked after/ cried for your real dad?

*r u kidding me* huh

anyway i just feel for that poor boy and that's all. smiley
I asked but You can't miss what u don't have
I was told the truth from the beginning,,,, my mum and I used to have long conversations where she would try to make me understand,,, we have a great relationship as a result as i can talk to my mum about absolutely everything
When i met my dad, i made him explain and he did, not keeping anything from me,,, i understand what happend between them and now that I'm older i can relate to it. I never felt any anger because they decided to treat me like an adult from day one and I appreciate that.

There are many children born out of wedlock and many non conventional families, many of these children turning out as success in their lives, the thing is u can never tell.
keep deluding yourself,,,, but just because u had a conventional family doesn't mean thats the way it has to be, its being done differently and in some cases producing a happier family situation than a conventional situation.

how will u feel if u were told that
u don't have a father or
u were born out of wedlock or
your father here isn't really your father because your mother is/was in love wit the present father
See the thing is I "WAS" born out of wedlock and i didnt meet my dad till i was 10
my mum was always open with me and I was never lied to, I wasnt negatively affected by it and i think it has made me a stronger person. I'm best friends with both my parents now and i had a better life than many who were raised in a conventional home.
the good thing about this was that I hav always had a realistic outlook on life, not under any illusions about what standard we can and should live up to
i realise fairy tales exist but not for everyone,,,
happiness cannot be found by conforming to other peoples ideals,,,

@ poster

for the child's sake, advice the girl to marry the other guy.
don't be selfish with love. think about the poor boy when he grows up. for how long will u keep secrets from him. angry

as a guy use your head not your heart. angry

people dey get heart failure ohhhhh! shocked
Thats an obtuse point of view if u ask me
she shdnt be happy because she made a mistakehuh
who says u have to keep it a secret from d child, if d guy wants to be in the childs life thats fine that doesnt mean the woman should be forced into a marriage she doesnt want

@ post
if she loves u and u love her thats all u need
i respect the fact u can appreciate  her despite her being a single parent
my mum is a single parent and i know how hard it is for women in that position.
Stand up to your family afterall its your life and ultimately your decison,,,, and if u guys get together, raise the child like it was your own but be completely open with him and he will appreciate u for it
RomanceRe: What Do You Think About Being A House Wife ? by HRhotness(f): 12:45pm On Apr 29, 2008
I think its entirely up to her
She shdnt be forced to or put in a situation where she has no choice
everyone deserves the right to actualise themselves and follow their dreams
If she decided her ambition in life to stay at home and produce babies then thats her choice
RomanceRe: Torn Between Two Loves by HRhotness(f): 12:33pm On Apr 29, 2008
My Philosophy is never ever settle for anything less than what you want or what u can live with becos u'll hav a life time of regret
If you hav been in a relationship where u are not 100% content, where u keep wondering what might have been and what else is out there,
then get out quick,,, because sooner or later someone will come along and you'll be put a situation where u will either dissappoint ur partner or be miserable becos u cant be with the one u really want
FoodRe: What Do You Consider To Be The Best Breakfast? by HRhotness(f): 12:24pm On Apr 29, 2008
lmao, you're consuming too much sugar,i have not gotten used to the cereals pancake, marple syrup e.t.c since i v been here, the only cereal i can get down me is weetabix and the new oatabix if u give me any other cereal you ll fing it there a year later
Dont worry by the time u start work (if u decide 2 work in this country that is) and u hav almost an hr of commute 1st thing in d morning, cereal will be your life saver and then d only way u can get variety is by trying out different brands.

Pancakes are my luxury breakfast when i hav a day off and theres nothing better than my flatmates and I hanging out in the kitchen on a sunday morning making pancakes and watching cartoons.

Muffins and coffe is breakfast on d go for days when I'm too late to even hav cereal,,,, I'm a career girl and I just don't have the time for complicated morning rituals. When it comes to dinners,,,, now thats another story,,,,,  grin

FamilyRe: Punishment You Hated As A Child by HRhotness(f): 1:06am On Apr 29, 2008
my mum was to busy to think up punishments for us
she always skipped straight to the beating,,, her slippers being her weapon of choice,,, then straight off to bed to thinkabout what we did till we fall asleep, (very effective)
once mummy raised her voice, u better behave or u'd get a whooping grin
FoodRe: What Food Are You Sick Of: by HRhotness(f): 1:03am On Apr 29, 2008
We each take turns to do the cookiing, depending on how busy everyone is
she always volunteers and we were trying to be nice, to start with anyways,,,, sad
now she thinks we cant get enough of her meat balls and she obviously cant get enough of cooking for us
I guess its one of those things u do for ur friends,,, we dont want to break her heart smiley

Spaghetti and meat balls

my flatmate just learnt how to make them and its the only thing she can cook,,,,
it turned out nice the first time, and it kept getting better with each attempt, we encouraged her becos this was someone who cldnt boil water without burning it

now we cant get her to stop
she makes it every weekend and makes so much of it we have left overs to last the week

sadly we are stuck eating meatballs until she gets bored with it
she's so excited that she can actually cook something pple can eat and no one has the heart to tell her we're sick of it embarassed
TravelRe: Funny Experiences On Your First Trip To Naija After Being Abroad For A While by HRhotness(f): 11:54pm On Apr 28, 2008
On every trip i get lost,,,

I always insist on driving myself and because lagos (V/I especially) is always changing
I end up either truning into a one-way street, or at a dead end miles from where i want to be, with a flat tyre in a questinable neighbourhood sorrounded by scary looking people, in trouble for making a wrong turn with either LASMA or the police or all of the above.

I usually end up in tears, scarred out of my pants, ringing every number on my phone until someone takes pity on me and rescues me,,,,

My last trip wasnt so bad, my cousin was on holiday from sch for a while so i had someone by me all the time (somehow i still managed to get lost a couple of times) embarassed

She says she had no idea,
the guy claimed his daughter had run away and joined a religious cult, even made her write letters to that effect to throw the police off track.

3 of the seven childern were raised by the couple, supposedly abandoned by their daughter
he'd leave them outside the door for the mother to find with a note from the daughter.

I just watched d news with pics of the house and cellar,
It had a rienforced concrete door with an electronic password lock,,, i wonder how long he had been planning this??!!!

FamilyRe: Marriage And Kids by HRhotness(f): 9:51pm On Apr 28, 2008
It would be nice to get married and have kids,
but i wont let that determine who I am or shape my life,
when it happens, it happens
until then I'm enjoying challenging myself to reach new heights, making a name for myself, gaining respect through hard workand finding my individuality.

In my opinion, there is no basis for comparism
I despise both instances equally,,,,and the perpetrators deserve a slow painfull death
PropertiesRe: Investing In Student Accomodation - Information Needed! by HRhotness(f): 9:31pm On Apr 28, 2008
My cousin schools at LASU and she complains constantly about good quality accomodation

I finished from ABU Zaria yrs ago and the off campus accomodation was substandard, i visited recenly and some smart pple hav recognised d need and a number of places hav cropped up. I remeber thinkin it was a good investment opportunity. there is definately enough land and buildings with good potentials
CrimeRe: Incest! Man Keeps Daughter Captive For 24yrs by HRhotness(op): 9:14pm On Apr 28, 2008
this case i think is far more than incest
keeping ur own child prisoner for 24yrs in a basement with no daylight,,,, sad
CrimeRe: Incest! Man Keeps Daughter Captive For 24yrs by HRhotness(op): 7:42pm On Apr 28, 2008
there is a guy who lives next to my gran in Warri
apparently he fathered his daughter's child, no one has any proof of this but the child is a spitting image of th man and the girl has never said who fathered d child. It doesnt help that they live alone in their one bedroom flat.

I guess it happens everywhere,,, morals or not
Some people are just SICK!!! and will burn in hell!!!  angry
FashionRe: What's Your Opinion On Fixing Eye-lashes? by HRhotness(f): 4:33pm On Apr 28, 2008
I usually use them when i want to glam up for a special occassion
I favour self adhesive ones, as i can take them of fairly easily at the end of the night,,,

Last time i was in lagos, I decided to get the glued up ones at salon in V/I,,, I regreted my life that day,,,
Only God knows the kind of glue they used but the useless girl got glue in my eye, whatever chemicals in it was so harsh it disintigrated my contact lenses inside my eye, my eyes were burning for days,,, I probably would hav ended up blind that day if not for God,,, I'm done with getting beautythings done Lagos sha,,, I heard some people even use superglue,,,

I've decided to appreciate my beautiful eyes and not mess with them no more,,,, mascara and curlers do the trick
I still love false lashes but not for me anymore sad
