that linkin park song could mean anything, even a sad love song if u wld just read it with an open mind
some people suggested it told of abuse in a relationship,,,,

there was no mention of satan or the devil in there! angry
Music/RadioRe: Rock Music Is Satanic? by HRhotness(f): 9:20am On Apr 09, 2008
Its backward statements like these that prevent progress in Nigeria
when Nigerians are faced with something new or something they don't understand they immediately proclaim it demonic.
Just because some of u don't listen to rock music, it has to be demonic.
someone mentioned that they abusive to women, what about rap music.
You can't just call an entire genre of music demonic, there r Christian rock music u know,

i came across another thread by an ignorant buffoon, attacking a religion he doesnt understand

I'll help you out!

Would you be able to handle if you knew your guy has been with your sister or your very good female friend!!

Whichever way you'd react to that is the same way we would too!!! grin
Going with a guy who's been with my sister (i don't actually have a sister) wont be an issue, have a firend who married a guy who started out as her sisters boyfirend, it was one of those relationships that was doomed form the start. he found out he got on better with my friend, they were firends along time before actually getting into a relationship and her sister knew about this from the start.  it  was weird at first but it was handled properly and there were no broken hearts.  Only a girl can handle a situation like that, guys will just go to pieces

I also have dated a guy who used to be with my best friend earlier on. the weird thing was i couldn't stand him when he was with my friend and hated him more after they broke up. got to know him a while later and realised he wasn't so bad, i could deal with the situating and my friend didn't mind but he had issues, so it didn't work.

How are you so sure he left nothing out? Guys rarely tell you that they slept with their housemaid, minors or ashawo.
Contrary to popular belief most guys have slept with prostitutes at one time or the other,,,, usually in their teenage years,,,, some kind of sick rite of passage (don't attack me guys, got this from 3 diff men, my bro inclusive)

Once dated a guy who told me all his dirty secrets, prostitute, orgies name,,, i dealt with it and we laughed about it (some guys have to get the sick stuff out of their system). Immediately i let him know I had dated someone he knew, he we went bonkers. he just couldn't handle it, took us ages to get over that fact but it was never the same. how is it that i can handle casual sex with prostitutes and all kinds of questionable people and he can't handle a proper relationship with a guy he knew and respected as a friend? https://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/7.gif

Johnny:
Matured advice there. Nairalanders who claim to base in America and Europe tend to think that it's their birthright to be there. I can bet that a good number of them did very bad and ugly things to get abroad. And a very good number of them will be deported due to their unwholesome attitudes. Apart from making it abroad easily, basic amenities, which every sane man desire in life are readily and efficiently available. I would prefer to own 100 dollars in America or Europe to having 100,000 naira here in Nigeria. This is were crime rate is very low. The weather condition is very friendly. Water flows freely. Light is constant. Political leaders are commited to giving quality services to the electorates. A land where people work like ant but eat like elephants. And many more.Who wouldn't want to go abroad! I believe in my country. Nigeria is endowed with alot of opportunities, BUT if I have my way, I will travel out of this country. It's not always bed of roses, but it's not also always regretable.
Point of correction nothin flows freely, u pay for every single thing u get here.
Thats why some Nigerians who come here end up in trouble, we come from a culture where we get away with not paying tax or bills and getting stuff for free. its so different here, u are taxed before u get ur pay so u cant even complain, if u dont pay ur bills on time, u loose the service, get a county court judgement and ruin ur credit rating. then u get charges for late payment, bank charges, u ruin ur credit rating so u cant get loans or assistance,,,, before u know it u're in debt! Of course everything works but u have to be committed to paying for it!

personally I'll be back home as soon as I can. people are not as warm and helpful here, everything is dictated by rules and policies,,, at least Nigerians are human.

@ poster
I dont discourage people who want to go abroad, as long as u either have a job waiting or have enough to live on till u get a job. The sad reality is that in the UK everyone is on their own and u really cant become a burden on someone else. Its not about being stingy, it can be really hard getting ur life together not everyone can take on additional responsibility of watching out for someone else. It is not enough to just move abroad, u should have a plan in place. Ask questions about the way things work, read all ur contracts and agreement (they mean every word literarily), do research and understand every service u are applying for and understand procedure in every situation.

I suggest u think properly about ur decision. I know for certain in Nigeria there is always something u can do until u get ur dream job, u onlyhave to be patient

I beg to differ, men musn't sow their seed around. They were created to sow their seed if they have to only in one plot and not mutiple plots. The ones that do so these days are just dogs trapped in a mans body.
Dont get me wrong, I meant their primal instincts was for them to procreate
if u look at the animal kingdom, the primary function of the male specie is to mate and find mates,
Of course humans are supposed to have evolved past this but we all know men still have abit of animal in them wink cheesy
Doesnt mean I'm excusing their behavior tho

@ big father

lol
there is nothin u have to tell that i will find shocking
when i go into a relationship, i am prepared to accept that my partner has done nasty things in the past,
unfortunately men aren't engineered that way. its part of ur primal macho alpha male wiring to brag about ur conquests, so even without meaning to men always give away signs without knowing.

guys hate the thot that their girls were with anyone else, its a primal reaction, u can t help0 it. some even go as far as seeking out virgins so u can have complete ownership of the girls mind and body.

both sexes have been moulded by nature into these roles, the males must sow their seed and multiple partners is the most efficient way to achieve this.
females naturally (subconsciously) accept this as their role is to bear children,,,,

its all biology so i like to think I'm doing guys a favour by not telling

Good point.
I'm not complaining, not being negative either. I love being Nigerian and I come home as often as i can. I do believe things will get better for no other reason than that they can't remain the way they are. It can't be sustained and it will get to a point when there is no other way but for things to get better.  grin

@ lucabrasi

at the risk of getting pulled into this argument debate, i think you're coming off as somewhat ignorant.
to begin with, u have totally diverted off the whole point of the post, this is not a battle to determine which is a better country. I however agree with EloSela, Some Nigerians come here for whatever reason and end up complaining about everything, they are loud, rude and disrespectful of the British culture. I am of the opinion that if it really is so unpleasant here, then go back home. the least you could do is put up with their way of life until u get whatever u came for and then leave. it strikes me that Nigerians expect to be handed everything on a platter. things are hard here even for white people (they just don't go around complaining about it) i know this because i work for a finance company and deal with a large number of people (mostly whites) who are deep in debt, have lost or about to loose their homes, can't get a job,,, etc I can always tell when I'm dealing with a Nigerian who hasn't been here that long, they don't pay their bills on-time and get angry (even abusive) when they are confronted, they seem to think they are targeted because they are black (or Nigerian).

the truth is some Nigerians move to the UK without understanding the way things work then feel victimised when they get into trouble. I'm sick to death of people complaining about the fact that they can't get good jobs or they can't get help. My standard reply is that anyone who is unwilling to work hard like everyone else in the system, should remain home. I worked very hard to get everything i have despite the fact that i hold a British passport, why people who arrived in the country yesterday expect everything handed to them is a puzzle.  undecided

RomanceRe: Girls! Am I Searching For Them In The Wrong Places? by HRhotness(f): 4:15pm On Mar 28, 2008
try lookin at it this way

u meet a virgin, u get married, u have sex, she likes it, she reads books and watches movies all with a different ideas on what sex should be,,,,
inevitably her mind will begin to wonder,,,, then comes one of those shamless excuses for men,,,, they tempt and prod, she gives in,,,,,, what has happened? she has cheated, depending on how much she enjoys it, she continues to cheat,,,, then leaves high and dry!

the truth is that being a virgin is not an accurate measure of virtue and dignity
by choosing to define a girl by her virginity status is a complete disregard of her mind, of who she is as a person and very very disrespectful.
Girls have many different reasons for doing what they do and being judgemental and declaring them cheap and without virtue doesn't say much about you.

how about focusing on a girl who wants simple things, marriage and a family
who wants to build a successful home, who is loyal and has strong beliefs
if u are lucky she'll be a virgin, if not she probably had a good reason why she isn't, and if u manage to look beyond this, you'd find ur perfect girl.
Its rather naive to expect a virgin is automatically the perfect wife material, u never know u may have a monster lurking beneath the surface dying to come out! trust me, i'm a girl and I've seen this happen time and time again.

u don't expect me to pat u on the head because u are a virgin and intends to marry one . . .like i said, only an advice.
u either take it or leave it.
I totally agree

for the life of me i don't understand why u have chosen to define a girl, a human being, by a piece of skin
there is so much more to a person than their sex or an anatomical detail
rather than concentrate on what she has or has not done have u tried getting to know the person inside, never underestimate a persons mind, that is who they really are!  angry

Its hard to take u seriously because i honestly feel its either u're just having a laugh
or worse  sad  u're really as shallow and small minded as u sound.
