I watched the video.

Guys make we try as much as possible to dey do what is right. Try so hard to be good. Be upright. So that no idiot will ask you to sit on the ground asking questions with you begging like a slowpoke. For me o...I'd rather die than sit on the ground in front of a fellow human. I'd rather die on my feet. It's the royal way. In any case strive to do good always. And please say no to child molestation. Please.

Education / Re: What Act During An Exam Made You Shed Tears? Share Your Experiences by hstar: 8:56pm On Apr 24, 2021
chatinent:
Mine: Odogwu requested I helped him during our Statistics exams.

I told Odogwu he'll have to sit close because I wouldn't want anything to happen to a four-credit load papper. Odogwu obliged.

During exams, oga Lance (invigilator) made Odugwu sit far off from me. Now this was the problem. Odogwu was asking me to throw him “mgbo.” How could I? Sb who went through thick and thin to be in school rusticated after several years? I thought it over..and signalled he asked people around him.

I was done with mine.

As I made to submit, Odogwu got up angrily and without me realising, got my papper, torn it in my face and tore his.

I literally ran mad.

To make matters worse, he pushed my chest in challenge. My anger bar was full now.

I borrowed him a quick punch to his jaw..and we were separated.

Ha, I realised I have f-ed up for (1) Being an accomplice to attenpted malpractice, and (2) Fighting.

The Sarge tell us say make we zero the paper say we no write am. “In fact, assume you didn't take this exam” he resounded.

They took us to the front of the hall to stand and watch “reasonable students” finish their paper.

Oh, my last paper.

I literally cried.

After everything, and every sacrifice!

I was urinating sth else..with a mixture of anxiety, fear, and depression.

I was watching my dreams pass me slowly.

They took us pictures, and under duress, we were told to fill the malpractice form. Tears was flowing freely from my eye and wetting the papper.

My school paid invigilators some money (we heard ₦50k) for each students caught during malpractice.

Since my stay in the school, no one has survived filling a malpractice form.

They didn't let us explain.

Odogwu didn't mind. Las las he was no sad..after all no bi only am.

In mid-thoughts whether to go and learn tailoring, or open a barber's shop, Mrs Jacintha (God bless this woman) called me and asked why I wasn't writing.

She na senior lady for the school.

I explained everything without leaving any stones unturned.

She ordered I be reinstated, tore my already filled malpractice form, and yelled at the invigilators that “ they should have allowed me speak. I do not engage in malpractice, and I was a well-behaved student.” My heart somer-tumbled in joy!

Immediately, they sent for my Statistics lecturer which he affirmed..and even called the invigilators insensitive.

I had never felt so much joy.

That was the period I realised people are always watching you even when you don't really know.

Odogwu began shedding crocodile tears and begging for a revisit of his case and told them the truth, when they told him was the only key for revisitation.

I fear human beings that day. The same guy who was incriminating me!

Long story short...
He carried the course over instead of a rustication.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Have You Quit Your Job Before Because You Were Fed Up? by hstar: 9:55pm On Apr 22, 2021
Kccheechy:
Yes, and I'm so happy I quit. After my youth service, I got a job as a facility manager for a suite that consists of 8 floors and a penthouse on the right wing. The floors are let out as offices to business organizations. Each floor is let out at an annual rent of 3.2million and each floor pays service charge of over 300k twice a year. All the floors including the 2 bedroom penthouse were occupied by business organizations. It's situated along the international airport road close to 7/8 bustop, Ajao estate. Though I didn't have any previous experience as a facility manager, it was quite challenging but I was determined to give it my best. I was also his secretary / personal assistant. I was in charge of anything maintenance as long as that building is concerned. My boss is the most wicked and heartless person I have ever worked for. Waking up everyday and knowing I was going to face him was a nightmare I only wished I could avoid. With all the money he makes from there (he makes over 32million yearly from the suite which is not his only source of income by the way) and the volume of work I did there, I was paid 35k as facility manager. No benefits, no allowance, nothing!! All I got was complain and mockery from him.. He choked me with so much pressure and frustration. Though I wasn't faultless but I always gave it my best shot.. I didn't have any experience in that field, which he was supposed to assist and motivate me to do better, but he was very far from that. He always looked for faults and when there is none, he creates one just to humiliate me. This is someone who is old enough to father my father. Even as an octagonerian,, retired as a successful businessman, having being blessed with uber successful children, established businesses in Lagos and his hometown in anambra, he still worships money like a pauper who suddenly stumbled upon millions. Ooh, he is so wicked and most cunny in have worked for. After working for him for 1 year, I realized that my life isn't getting any better under his organization. No growth, no advancement no matter how slow and coupled with the pressure I faced from him daily, the best option for me was to quit before I lost my mind. I didn't have any other plans in mind but I just had to quit. I didn't die.
I can relate

I work for one yeye lawyer like that in Lagos Mainland, precisely, apapa road

Nobody told me before I left

He must see something to talk about in other to fault u, as I see the way things dey go

Deep down I know I would be rude to him if he keeps treating me that way, instead I just left

Education / Re: I Ran Into My Classmate After 10 Years And She Did This by hstar: 12:02pm On Apr 22, 2021
santakris:
A reunion was planned.I was scared to attend. It was 5 years after university. What could I point to? I had read on some of my classmates that were now made men and women. I made up my mind not to attend. I did not want pity or to be the subject of gossip.
Another class mate called me and encouraged me. “Come along, you might meet classmates that might assist you”. On that note i attended.
The colleague picked me up. At the reunion, plenty of back slaps. Excitement and joy. I felt inadequate when people shared their current status. I sat in a lonely corner. What would I share? What success? What growth? Luckily, I was not called upon.
The reunion ended. No one asked for my number. Many just glanced over me. I left feeling more dejected.
Some months after, I got employed and also into farming. Luck shined and I prospered. Married. Sponsored one or two candidates and became a man of influence.
It was 15 years. Time for another reunion. I got my best car out. Wore my most expensive attire.I desired to go and impress to tell my story. Now I have something to say. Then wisdom came to me and my wife advised otherwise. What was I going to get? False affection? Acclaims and applause. Some envy?
I decided I would not attend. I would look for 5 of my classmates struggling to assist to heights. To make them feel more adequate. It would be discreet.
I did. I supported them. Despite not attending, I was applauded for contribution. Last time I was there, none saw me. In my absence, my success spoke. They all noticed I did not come.
I shook my head sadly. I had learnt a lesson. My friends would remain those that cared when I was poor. Not those that were friends with my cars and money in the bank.
Note:- Please, let's reach out to mates who have not made it up the ladder and assist them. A Yoruba adage says "ajo je o dun beni kan o ni" eating together is not sweet if some in the group are indigent and not contributing. Not sure if I got that right, but, let the message sink. One great lesson I learnt during this lockdown is that nothing else matters but our relationship with God and people. Ki Olorun ran wa lowo o,
Amin.
Remember that your achievements lie in the number of lives you touch positively.

COPIED
This may inspire you and others. Have a wonderful day

Well said.
1. Learn to save from 2-20% of your salary irrespective of how much you earn .
Benefit .It creates a habit.
2. Save your money in a hardly accessible account.
Benefit. So you won't be easily tempted to touch it.
3. Save before you spend.
Benefit. The other way round might leave you with almost nothing.
4. Invest in your self with your savings.
Benefit..The more you invest in yourself the more your earn.
5. Have 6 months 5% emergency fund.
Benefit .In case a health related problem comes
6. Your annual savings should be used for assets like lands and property not liabilities like cars and gadgets.
7. Avoid impulse buying.. If you have stayed without that thing for many years, giving it extra two weeks to think about it won't kill you.
Benefit..The urge may have died down after the wait.
8. Stop giving your hard earned money to lazy people. People that don't want to work but beg.
9.Read financial books.
Benefit..They have hidden secrets to wealth.
10. Diversify your source of income.
Benefit...Rat wey get one hole dey die quick.
