BlackAfrican: The famous Muslim cleric and a principal figure in the Tijjaniyya sect, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi has called on the federal government not to give the Igbo’s the biafra nation, rather sit them on the same table along other ethnic nationalities to chart ways out for the economic prospect and peaceful coexistence of a united Nigeria.
Knowing full well that 95% will not read the full article but just the headline, why do we wickedly and deliberately choose to sensationalize a news piece by giving it a misleading headline? This country wrecks of evil. there is wisdom in the cleric words |

Kog45: Oh Rohr is watching but Salisu is not watching?why are u so racist against your Nigerian brother for God sake, losing against South Africa is purely Rohr's fault,he is d boss.Remember Olishe resigned ir fired but Agu was retained, just to tell u d boss carry d blames.
If Rohr is not satisfying with their performances,he should say it out instead of all this blackmailing against Nigeria assistants, mind u Rohr have foreign assistants working with him but funny enough nobody saying anything about those guys.
When we won Zambia and Algeria did anybody mention Salisu or any Nigerian assistants,it was Rohr all d way but losing to South Africa,Nigerian assistants are d issues.Thank God no home based was fielded,it would have been hell or let say Awaziem is home based player.
If i may ask does Rohr need any Nigerian assistant tactically before he can beat South Africa coz i don't understand your remarks'hope Salisu is watching'
It seems some of us believe anything about foreign, truly they are sincere but that does not mean they don't have their weakness.
I remember euphoria that greeted Bonferre Jo when he won Olympics gold and d euphoria of Samson Siasia 2008 Olympic team, despite playing with young team.
Also euphoria of westerhoff Afcon 94 team and Keshi 2013 Afcon team, despite winning Keshi was bashed up and down with undue criticisms.
Pls let appreciate and respect our own, though they are not better than d foreign ones but we need to show love not unnecessary remarks unfortunately I am not being racist... the problem we have in this country the best always does not get the job... i was expecting his input or contribution prior and during the RSA match...he was around when the RSA drew few years ago....his advice would have been very useful to help cage the RSA u saw...the South Africans...had to go get rantie to come play against the eagles and also a coach who once beat Nigeria in friendly... it wouldn't have been bad...if they had invited aluko all fr the purpose of the RSA game...same RSA never changed their style of play like they did when we meet last... one should expect the likes of siasia to be among the technical crew....but the norm of putting square pegs in round holes won't let us .. on agu...one should expect by now...he should have been able to scout good goal keepers home and abroad for the SE... but to no avail... rather...the FC ifeanyiubah goalkeeper keep getting invitation even when it is obvious he is not the best the Npfl parade at the moment... I think the custom should be revisited.....all members of the coaching crew...should be praised and fired at the same time.... because some assistants too are at fault |

TheSuperNerd: Bafana Bafana Star – We Have Shown Cameroon How To Beat Nigeria
https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/IMG_3119.jpg
South Africa forward Themba Zwane who starred in their 2-0 win over Nigeria says Bafana Bafana have shown the rest of the world how to beat the senior national team of Nigeria.
The midfielder struck the woodwork twice in the game said South Africa could have won the game by more goals as the 2-0 scoreline didn’t justify their dominace in the game played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
He said their tactics of hitting Nigeria on the counter paid off, and insist that teams playing Nigeria who are to take on Cameroon next in the World Cup 2018 Qualifiers can borrow a leaf from their game plan.
“Upon our arrival at the airport there in Nigeria, some of the locals told us that we must forget about the possibility of beating their senior national team, especially at home. They told us that we were going to lose that encounter.
“That alone was the motivation for us to do well in that match. We also had a proper game plan. The coach told us to always maintain shape at the back and catch them on the counter. And we did that pretty well.”

Dedebanky85: In all honesty, I'd not advise Nigeria to attack CMR in any of the legs. We are ahead on points so ot boils down to them to attack us. Worse case scenario is we take 2 points. If Algeria does the double over Zambia then they'd be 1 point after us. If Zambia does d double then they'd be one behind is as well. So we should be smart about these CMR games. please stop these permutations.. I don't expect any Nigerian to do these mathematics during these WCQ mind you...we're beating the Cameroonians in Nigeria and also beat them away... you can report me to FIFA the loss against RSA...will spur the eagles to surprise every Nigerian just watch out.... |

komekn: Tega is a good striker in some ways he is similar to KC just with an aerial threat as an added advantage.
However, as a lone striker I have my doubts he is not like Balotelli, Drogba, Ibrahimovic, Benteke and or Lukaku that can hold up play and dominate the CBs and could create goals almost by themselves.
In Bristol city he was the main man the team focused in on him. They team played to his strengths.
So I do not see him as the solution. I actually think playing a defenders nightmare Anichebe with the very crafty and intelligent Aluko behind him will create problems for any defence.
Age wise they are still very young but proven and tested.
Furthermore Ighalo, Ideye and Obagoal should be invited to camp to see what they can bring and be allowed vto fight for a jersey.
In reality these guys are much younger than JJay and Kanu when they played for Nigeria at the tail end of thier careers. sir....you're gradually becoming one of the experienced crew on these platform...*just pulling your legs though* those players you just mentioned are have all gone past 26 years of age... I can exonerate the likes of aluko though let me say these....we shouldn't be so preoccupied wit short term success for the eagles...we're looking and shaping the SE for the future... you trying to play down the need for Tammy calls for questioning.... besides the boy is only 19 years old...for such a lad to score such goals is not easy likewise dressier..... there is nothing so special about anichebe a player that could not get up to 10 goals in a full season despite playing as a striker... is not good enough.... the SE is never a rehabilitation camp.... |

TheSuperNerd: Amuneke : Iheanacho Must Leave Man City To Keep Super Eagles Place By Johnny Edward
https://www.completesportsnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/PicsArt_06-18-12.28.04.jpg
Former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles coach Emmanuel Amuneke has warned that Kelechi Iheanacho risks losing his national team place if the Super Eagles forward remains inactive at Manchester City, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Iheanacho struggled to get game time at Manchester City last season with manager Pep Guadiola preferring Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus to the Nigerian international.
The 21-year-old scored seven goals in 29 appearances in all competitions for Manchester City, who finished third in the Premier League.
“If he is deemed surplus to the club’s requirements I think he should move to stay competitive for the Super Eagles and keep his place,” former African Footballer of the Year Amuneke told Completesportnigeria.com.
“His career could step up once again if he moves.”
Ex-Super Eagles star Amuneke worked with Iheanacho at the Nigeria U-17 level as the Golden Eagles won the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2013 and the ex-international still has confidence in his 21-year-old former prodigy, in spite of Iheanacho’s disappointing performance in Nigeria’s shock 2-0 defeat to South Africa in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on 10 June.
Ameneke added: “Kelechi will succeed if the team plays as a unit. It’s not just about him alone. It’s a team game and he will if he is supported.”
Iheanacho has scored seven goals in his last 10 games for the Super Eagles.
Source: http://www.completesportsnigeria.com/amuneke-iheanacho-must-leave-man-city-keep-eagles-place/ absolutely true.... I believe should either one of dressier or Tammy gets to play for Nigeria and keep up wit their good form....in club level kelechi starting role for the SE may be under threat.... |

Mickael2: oga the goal against Zambia was a grounder, that's a cross that was on the ground, nowhere close to an aerial ball na, fear God. with Omeruo we wouldn't have conceded that first goal at least and Omeruo is a great defensive leader. he is outspoken unlike Troost. So Ramos has never had a bad day before? then...if you know Ramos too do have bad days...then awaziem shouldn't be left out... the dude too had a bad day. omeruo playing in that match won't have prevented the SA from winning the eagles that day... someone like Mikel and V.Moses presence would have made the difference not playing omeruo |

Kog45: Pls give little respect to Omeruo, honestly after re watching two two draw with South Africa,i said to myself was it not d same Omeruo of 2013.I watched him keenly against Zambia and i discovered psychologically d guy hasn't got over it coz apart from that blunder,he had a very good game even than Ekong, honestly with those blunders,no coach w put Omeruo in CB except a coach who can work on him psychologically.
As i said Omeruo deserves little respect coz comparing Awaziem with him is absurd, for God sake if we want to drop Omeruo, not for player like Awaziem, that's just d fact coz d guy bring nothing to table to justify his inclusion.
Rohr goofed big time and he need to be upright in his tactical approach.Remember Uche Agbo was dropped from d camp but later recalled and Ogu later played as CB in camp and Ogu was in superb form even as CB but rookie Awaziem who lack d talent of Iheanacho or Osimeh made d team but Ogu who can give us options either in d midfield or defence was not in d squad and three DM made d match day squad.
If Rohr was not comfortable with Omeruo,Agbo, why not use Ndidi who can also, play as CB,why not makeshift just like Ndidi played as RB against Zambia, though not perfect in that match but after watched Zambia match again i discovered that Ndidi did normal thing as a defender, clearing,go for aerial ball.Ndidi as CB against South Africa,d first goal would have been avoided coz such cross w never beat him but Awaziem oh too amateurish in his game.. of course I respect omeruo....I remember he was my favorite CB during and prior 2014 world cup... his problem lies...in his inability to see beyond his nose....why keep going out on loans every season.... can't he choose to go for outright sale.... to be honest these constant loan spells are not helping his career.... he needs to settle somewhere... and grow to the player he wants to be. he was one dude that came to limelight so early....by now he should have rose to pinnacle of his career.... but on rohr...parts@ I agree wit you...rohr was carried away wit the victory against Togo... he thought both awaziem and troost can well do the job....likewise me...I was carried away too though awaziem never flopped all our players performed below par that day |

TheSuperNerd: Leicester City Fail With First Bid For Man City Iheanacho, Talks With West Ham Stalls
https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/IMG_3083.jpg
Owngoalnigeria.com have been reliably informed that Leicester City have failed with their first bid for Manchester City out of favour striker Kelechi Iheanacho.
Leicester City are now the bookies favourite to land the 20 year old Nigerian forward after talks with West Ham broke down over the fee that will be inserted in his buy back clause.
The Foxes tried their luck for the forward who they view as a potential replacement for want away star Riyad Mahrez with a bid around the 20 miilion pounds mark, with add ons which will take the fee close to Manchester City valuation.
Their bid was turned down by the Etihad based outfit who are looking for a fee in the region of £24m for the prolific forward who still has four years to run on his deal with the club.
Man City are yet to comment on his future but as exclusively reported by Owngoalnigeria.com, Iheanacho has been told by manager Pep Guardiola that he will only be sold if the club are able to sign a replacement.

Mickael2: I know you hate Omeruo but let's try to be reasonable here. Awaziem better than Omeruo in aerial duels ? Come on bro, isn't it Awaziem's lack of aerial awareness that led to the goal on Saturday? or you think aerial ability is just to jump up and head, it also includes your positioning to actually head the ball and if you think Awaziem is better in that aspect then you just need to ask yourself the last time we conceded a headed goal with Omeruo in the team. how about the assist omeruo gave....the Zambian in Ndola...? was that not an aerial ball I don't hate omeruo....but everyone is making it look....as if omeruo playing that day would have make any difference.... same omeruo that gave rantie an assist few years ago and same RSA played same pattern they played few days ago no difference... I don't hate omeruo....but the truth be told...his inclusion on that day won't have make any difference..... |
