Car TalkMy Brother's Poor Car :'( (Plus Pictures) by Hunter(op): 12:29pm On May 07, 2006
On saturday night while my brother was driving to work he had to slow down because a car in front of him was turning into a driveway and another car hit the back of his car which knocked him into the UTE in front.
Causing significant body work damage (car is insured so it's not too bad I suppose, and he's ok)
Anyways thought I would share the pictures with fellow nairaland peeps

The car that hit the back of my brothers car had to be towed (radiatior was broken along with some other stuff by the looks of things)

My brothers car is a 2003 holden commodore
ProgrammingRe: Vb vs Java: Which Is Better For Mobile Applications? by Hunter(m): 12:15pm On May 07, 2006
I wouldn't really say JAVA is anymore secure than vb.net (it's as secure as YOU write it)
VB is known far far far far more than JAVA for interoperability with DB app's than java is, and referencing in visual basic couldn't be easier.

I've got a boxed copy of vs2005 with the complete set of mobile tools and it's great (it was a gift from a friend smiley )
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Army Recuitment Form Is Out by Hunter(m): 2:12am On May 06, 2006

CareerRe: It Certifications Or Degree - Which Way To Go? by Hunter(m): 8:12am On May 04, 2006
I asked around a bit on other forum's about this, and for the most part it seemed the degree was the way to go (or we have a similar thing to a degree but offered by technical schools which actually goes through several of the trade certificates during the course of about 2-3 years)

It's all about experience.

I'm a CCNA guy so that was a bit of a bummer when I was told that (but hey I haven't even finished school yet)
ProgrammingRe: Vb vs Java: Which Is Better For Mobile Applications? by Hunter(m): 12:09pm On May 03, 2006

FoodRe: How to Prepare Pepper Soup by Hunter(m): 6:57am On Apr 17, 2006
I made some the other day with chicken and it was quite good, I used potato and carrot in mine as well for extra taste

Though I didnt' have any chili on hand so I poured in some chilli powder till it got a red tinge to it and it was about as spicy as it would otherwise be (lets just say it made a 15c day feel like 35c)
Washed down with a nice cool bottle of beer it was superb cheesy

PhonesRe: Sony Ericsson W800i by Hunter(op): 10:03pm On Apr 12, 2006
I just relized how difficult it is to hold a camera still in low light conditions (taking with a flash is no good because of reflections) and then trying to hold the camera with one hand.

I've tried to make the images small enough for all to look at (so they look kind of bad, but should show you what you want to see)

http://www.syncerror.com/nimages/DSC_0027.JPG (back of phone)
http://www.syncerror.com/nimages/DSC_0033.JPG (side, quality is pretty bad because I had to try and hold the camera with one hand, which is difficult with a digital SLR)
