AutosHolden Commodore Ve Countdown/release by Hunter(op): 2:24pm On Jul 15, 2006
Australia's most popular car, the holden commodore has been majorly overhauled and is due to be revealed at 10:50AM EAST (Eastern Australian Time)
What makes it interesting for people outside Australia that this is the first commodore that has been designed to be exported as well as available locally. The old commodore was the basis for the Holden Monaro which was also known as the Vauxhall Monaro and the Pontiac GTO (pontiac stuck a really ugly grille on the front though :S)

Base model will feature a 200kw (270BHP) v6 3.6L right up to a 6.0L from a corvette.

Historically the prices have started at around the AUD$30,000 (N3000000) for the v6 up to about AUD$56000 for the V8.

You can watch the unveiling at 10:50AM Sunday (That's a late one for people in nigeria, I think about 12:00am Sunday)

http://ninemsn.video.msn.com/v/en-au/v.htm

Can't wait to see what they've come up with!

Click on the "GM Holden reveals the new VE commodore" to view.

Tommorow after it's revealed I'll the promo pictures here for the people that couldn't be bothered watching.

That and neighbors are some of the worst things to come out of Australia :S The acting is terriable.
Did you watch Thank god you're here when that was on? another good locally produced show is Border Security.

I used to live in Adeliade many years ago, nice enough place I suppose. How rural is your town? Barossa Valley rural or Lake Eyre rural?

BusinessRe: Government Limiting Exchange Of The Naira by Hunter(op): 2:20pm On Jun 29, 2006
it makes visiting nigeria alot harder because the first thing you have to do is swap your money to naira :S
BusinessGovernment Limiting Exchange Of The Naira by Hunter(op): 5:57am On Jun 29, 2006
This has always got me curious, why does the Nigerian government restrict purchase of their currency so that you can't buy it oversea's?

Is it for fraud reasons?

or is there a economical decision behind it?
Car TalkRe: The New Mercedes Maybach? by Hunter(m): 1:26am On Jun 29, 2006
I'd rather have a rolls than a maybach, something a bit more "prestigious" about a rolls

Then again i'd probably never buy either if I had the money.

I'm not a big fan of the Escalade (technically the car is a piece of crap, it's only that people think it looks good(I don't think it looks good at all but that's me))

SportsRe: Should Africa Still Participate In The World Cup by Hunter(m): 3:58am On Jun 28, 2006
the ref's in general have been pretty crap. I don't think that many people would wake up in the morning and go "I really hate people from ghana today, lets make them lose"
SportsRe: Italy Vs Australia: World Cup 2006 Second Round Match by Hunter(m): 3:56am On Jun 28, 2006
italy didn't deserve the penalty at the end either, the ref was pretty crap I thought.

FORZA ITALIA! well deserved.
Not really well deserved if you watched the game, they were playing pretty badly considering they were vs'ing a team ranked 42nd in the world.
They missed about 3 oppertunities in the first half alone.

SportsRe: Italy Vs Australia: World Cup 2006 Second Round Match by Hunter(m): 12:20pm On Jun 26, 2006
Come on Aussie Come on!!!!!

I'm staying up to watch the game (as alot of people are) kick off starts at 1:00am Local

When I was in the city this morning all the pubs had signs up saying they'll have the game, and there are a few public places that the government has setup for people to go in and watch the soccer on the "big screen"

Looking forward to it!

ps. We still have a chance cheesy

we did win 2 out of 3 after all! (losing to brazil no less)

Should also be interesting to see public reaction here given how many italians live in melbourne wink

The holden costs AUD$52,000 (N5200000 - I think) tongue

Your best bet is to just shop around I guess, I purchased mine here in Australia so it doesn't really help you tongue
CareerRe: Australian Defence Force by Hunter(op): 12:27pm On Jun 23, 2006
This type of position rarely gets you posted outside of australia, the 10 week training is near adeliade (about 1500km from here) but the 32 week training is about 20km away from here.
ComputersRe: USB Flash Drives In Nigeria by Hunter(m): 4:01am On Jun 23, 2006
I carry mine in my pocket everyday (It usually sits flat under my wallet in my pocket) and don't really take any special care of it and it works fine.
According to the box here it has a 5 year warranty.

Australia won't be far behind I wouldn't think

Our only chance now to stay into the next round is beat croatia (or draw) , so there is a slim possibiltity we won't be knocked out,
just yet

What are your favourite type of police car's that you've seen on the roads.
Personally my favourites are the high speed persuit vechicles that we have (pretty much the only non persuit vechicles are detective's cars etc)
Holden Commodore SS (5.8L v8) :-) (i've seen these guy's going 150km odd, the noise was grin )

Another one I like is the Ford XR8

I also like the special scheme they have for motorshow as well (police here visit motorshow's and other motoring things and display there "skills" (they do burnout's and stuff like that, things us regular people aren't suppose to, )

So what police car's have you seen (and actually like wink )
