PhonesRe: Sony Ericsson W800i by Hunter(op): 9:41pm On Apr 11, 2006
Here's the official link

http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?cc=au&lc=en&ver=4000&template=pp1_loader&php=php1_10245&zone=pp&lm=pp1&pid=10245

I can get out my camera and snap a pic if people want.

PhonesSony Ericsson W800i by Hunter(op): 8:02am On Apr 11, 2006
I bought a sony ericsson w800i the other day, and I must say that I'm extremely impressed with it, the camera is awesome (2 megapixel) and the external speaker is actually half decent (meaning that mp3 ringtones actually sound somewhat like the original)
The screen is one of the best i've seen (it's not the biggest but definatly one of the clearest)

There is only one real flaw I've found so far and that the fact it looks kind of stupid (it's orang(ish))

The walkman feature also seems pretty good but I haven't used it much (I already have an ipod) but for those that are interested in that sort of stuff it has a 512mb memory stick in the box and 32mb built in.

Strongly recommended cheesy

ps, to those that know it's virtually the same as the k750i (except for the software) but they don't make the k750i anymore.

Here's a sample picture I took with the camera

That's a view outside my bedroom window smiley
Art, Graphics & VideoRe: Flash Or Swish: Which One Do You Prefer? by Hunter(m): 7:54am On Apr 11, 2006
i've had to use flash for some school work lately, and I'm crap at it so I don't like it much cheesy
PhonesRe: If You Find A Lost Phone On The Road by Hunter(m): 1:18pm On Apr 10, 2006
I'd take it to the police station, and let them track down the owner (done it a few times for wallets and such - usually get a phone call from the person that lost their wallet saying thanks for handing it in)
PhonesRe: Motorola RAZR V3 Phone by Hunter(m): 1:17pm On Apr 10, 2006
adding to the list of problems cheesy

My brothers V3's camera doesn't work at all period S: (and never has)
TravelRe: How Is Murtala Mohammed Airport Like, Anything New by Hunter(m): 11:48am On Apr 07, 2006
I should mention that my father used the airport the other day and confirms that the shops are all open again smiley
PhonesRe: How Much Time You Spend On The Internet? by Hunter(m): 9:06am On Apr 05, 2006
6+ hours a day

cheesy

Most torrent sites should have some available wink
Forum GamesRe: Guess The Population Of Nigeria And Win 1500 Naira by Hunter(m): 10:46am On Mar 23, 2006
180 Million maybe higher, depends also how accurate the thing is (the past figures aren't very reliable)
TravelRe: Partial Collapse Of 21-Storey Skyscraper In Lagos by Hunter(m): 10:27pm On Mar 22, 2006
It didn't look like the building was in too crash hot shape before hand either,
TravelRe: Best Airports You Have Been To? by Hunter(m): 10:25pm On Mar 22, 2006
Haven't been to many of those airports but reading around the net syktrax (the people who publish the list) aren't exactly the most reliable source, very bias apparantly.

Sydney doesn't deserve to be in the top 10 either its clean and everything but has a really really really bad layout, you have to catch a bus to get from international to domestic,
Melbourne on the other hand you don't, its just as clean but doesn't have you catching a stupid bus :s

Singapore Changi is ok, Dubai airport is over-rated though
ComputersRe: Fastest Broadband In The Uk by Hunter(m): 1:37pm On Mar 22, 2006
Here's a graph made by a local telco that should give you an idea of the different speeds associated with the different technologies and the attenuation after a certain distance.

Don't worry about "telstra" there just one of there competitors :-)

ComputersRe: Fastest Broadband In The Uk by Hunter(m): 11:40pm On Mar 21, 2006
Shouldn't that read fastest residential connection cheesy

ADSL2+ I'm guessing (max of 24mpbs depending your distance from the exchange)
My ISP announced new plans that it costs an extra $10 to go to 20mbit (from 10mbit) but its probably not worth it
PhonesRe: Music Phones: Motorola ROKR Or Sony Ericsson W800? by Hunter(m): 2:15pm On Mar 21, 2006
one of my friends got his hands on one (works at a phone shop) and he said it was really flimsy.

He thinks that there is going to be a lot of warranty jobs on them.
ComputersRe: Mac Running Windows by Hunter(m): 2:14pm On Mar 21, 2006
It probably just comes down to a profeciency thing, I'm much more comfortable using it.

I hate to say this to all the mac fan's out there but the ibook g4 is SLOW, bounce bounce bounce goes the firefox logo (the machine has a 1gb of ram and is plugged into the wall :S)
20 seconds later it starts (and there is almost no custom programs on the machine)
ComputersRe: Mac Running Windows by Hunter(m): 2:00am On Mar 21, 2006
Home/backyard networking isn't really good enough in today's world. You need real experience :S
I've been looking as well but I don't have any official experience yet (I have CCNA though smiley)

I don't personally like keynote, I just don't seem to be able to make anything look remotely professional out of it (it all looks like it was made by a 5 year old)
PhonesRe: Phone Prices by Hunter(m): 1:58am On Mar 21, 2006
K700i is currently AUD$350
k750i is currently AUD$650

AUD = Australian Dollars
Rougly $1 = 100 naira
ComputersRe: Mac Running Windows by Hunter(m): 10:18pm On Mar 20, 2006
I wouldn't buy one.

You'd just be paying a 200% premium on all your hardware.

Added to the fact I don't like mac OS X (my brother has an ibook) I really don't see myself buying one.
SportsRe: Commonwealth Games Are Officially Open! by Hunter(op): 11:39am On Mar 20, 2006
Congratulations Nigeria
3 Medal's already! (Gold, silver and bronze)
I expect more from track and field events :-)

Best medal tally site i've found is
http://foxsports.news.com.au/commgames/medaltally/

I've watched a fair bit on TV as well, the sprints were really exciting tonight in the semi final there were 3 false starts (meaning the removal of 2 of the people!)

If any of you see the shooting events on the tv thats in my area.
TravelRe: Can You Drive With A Nigerian Licence Outside Nigeria? by Hunter(m): 11:50pm On Mar 19, 2006
Probably the biggest reason behind the fact you can't drive internationally with it is because a lot of people haven't got there liscence honestly, so they have no real way of measuring your ability.
PhonesRe: Music Phones: Motorola ROKR Or Sony Ericsson W800? by Hunter(m): 8:26am On Mar 19, 2006
I got a catalogue in the mail today, apparantly you can pick up the ROKR for $187 shocked
PhonesRe: Music Phones: Motorola ROKR Or Sony Ericsson W800? by Hunter(m): 2:34am On Mar 19, 2006
Apparantly the 100 song thing was put there to protect apple's other products.
TravelRe: Can You Drive With A Nigerian Licence Outside Nigeria? by Hunter(m): 11:50am On Mar 18, 2006

TravelRe: Who Has Been to London? by Hunter(m): 11:44am On Mar 18, 2006
Here's some of my favourite pictures I took while in the UK :-)

TravelRe: Who has been to France, precisely Paris? by Hunter(m): 5:57am On Mar 18, 2006
I've been to Paris and loved it,

You hear all the time that people in Paris are very rude but I didn't find that at all (though I did see it happen to some American's but they deserved it, basically expecting everyone to speak english to them and where abusive when they didn't)

Very nice place but wouldn't want to live there (too expensive!)

Euro Disney was a good day out also (don't know what it was about me but I was always being called to the front of queue's cheesy)
TravelRe: Akwa Ibom: Small London In Nigeria by Hunter(m): 5:54am On Mar 18, 2006
It's nice to see some of that stuff happening but I can't help think that the money could be better spent.
TravelRe: Who Has Been to London? by Hunter(m): 5:52am On Mar 18, 2006
I don't know about you guy's but I don't go to other countries to spot out things the same as where I live, kinda pointless I think

Eg, When I was in Paris I didn't go looking for an Australian restruant (though I did see one lol)
ComputersRe: Sphincter Laptop Company by Hunter(m): 12:09am On Mar 18, 2006
