some of those rooms look like hotels... Here's a picture of my room, sorry about the quality of photo. I had to be dialup friendly EDIT helps if i attach the photo ![]() Here's a link if it doesn't fit your screen properally or something to that effect http://www.syncerror.com/simages/room.jpg https://www.syncerror.com/simages/room.jpg |
A very sad day. Hopefully it gets people to act on the aviation industry in nigeria (thats FAAN isn't it?) Here's a picture of the plane that crashed (apparantly) http://www.verbrugge-administratie.nl/images/nig068.jpg |
Usually you take a course but you can study it yourself (not recommend unless absolutesly impossible to get any "hands on") You get 50% off the certification fee if you actually study it at an academy (I'm not sure if the same applies to other countries) Also those that can I recommend a book called "Cisco Certified Network Assosciate" by todd lammle. It's an excellent book as it gives you the technical know how without the dryness of the cisco material. |
excellent job there mate ![]() Keep up the good work |
Depends on what you're doing with visual basic, though I do agree with what you're saying about visual basic. Alot of people that are no good at programming think that they're the next bill gates because they can do a counting program. Though there are some people that are very good at visual basic and can do just the same amount of stuff in visual basic as you can in C++. |
Yes but in terms of speed of writing code, it takes less time to get a java/visual basic app up and going comapred to a C++. |
C++ is rubbish for rapid development of programs, hence why java and visual basic are the favoured ones. Also I find connecting to DB's much easier in VB ![]() |
Maybe they've reserved it for other cool planes ![]() They launched the A350 the other day (as an eventual replacement of the A330) |
I'm curious as to what sports nigeria is competing in at the commonwealth games here in melbourne? I noticed them listed on the competing countries Good to see Nigeria playing on a large international stage ![]() |
I know a few people but that's not the point , It's one of the few times microsoft has made a prerelease version that was better than the real thing ![]() On similar hardware I would windows 2000, it should be relatively easy to come by a cheap copy (esp in Nigeria ) |
Nigeria isn't left out of cool stuff being test there, for instance my dad saw them testing the new BMW's there a few months ago (extreme humidity testing ) This page can tell you more about the airbus A380 http://www.airliners.net/info/stats.main?id=29 and some pictures http://www.airliners.net/open.file/959846/L/ http://www.airliners.net/open.file/959076/L/ http://www.airliners.net/open.file/959577/L/ |
A little bit longer and a little bit wider, there going to have to rip it all up and do it all again soon anyway ![]() Though it's a bit disheatening seeing all the trashed aeroplanes by the airport perhaps they should move them out of site (or sell off the scrap metal) Anyway's take off video's have been posted as well. |
Yes joftech you are correct, there also working on an entirely new operating system not based on windows called singularity (it's a research project at the momment) As for the release of Vista, It's not due to Q4 2006. The beta versions of it are already out to testers though (perhaps that is what you heard) |
Yes you could buy one... 300 million USD. small change really. Yes I do think you will see them in nigeria in the next probably 5 years, nigeria is very profitable for air traffic (they don't discount fairs at all) |
Seun, you have to be j/king mate? You've never heard of the double decker A380? See this picture of it parked next to other planes, and you'll see what I mean... https://lifedistilled.com/images/22/427airbus550x367.jpg |
I'm sure alot of you are aware of the double decker airbus 380 aeroplane, anyways it landed in melbourne today and melbourne airport has put up video's of the landing, so I thought I would share it with you guys ![]() http://www.melair.com.au/airbus/arrivals.asp go down to download video's and you can watch it I'm undecided if i'll go out there tommorow morning. |
about all I could tell you is that they're ex soviet... |
any eta, I heard tuesday next week |
I've been hearing rumours that lagos airport's runway is needing urgent repairs and can't handle 747 traffic at the time being and that British airways is using a 767 which has far less compacity, thus compramising seat avalability. Is there any truth behind this rumour as I have some members of family flying from london to lagos that would be on british airways. |
It's funny I was thinking about this just yesterday as I was walking to the bus stop ![]() My url is www.syncerror.com It focus's on tech stuff ![]() |
It's a possibility that they're comercial books? |
Some movies I have watched looked like they were filmed on a mobile phone, the quality was that bad ![]() |
I'm curious as to what sort of price you would pay for good there. For instance say I wanted to buy a AMD processor how much would it set me back? or even some ddr3200 memory? |
Absolutely you only need to look at how important it has become to other countries, wether people like it or not it's big buisness. |
At least it's a start, and that amount of money will go a long way in nigeria (admitably at a terriable cost) |
the extremely high launch price of the playstation 3 will turn people off straight away, they reckon it could be as much as $1200 USD when released |
I actually own all the adobe products (except video ones) so I have Adobe Acrobat professional which lets you make PDF's of whatever you want through the use of a virtual printer ![]() |
It's a good piece of hardware, however there is one thing stopping me from buying it... There's almost no good games available on it |
I think also one thing you should think about doing is making something special about your cyber-cafe in perticular eg selling hot food or something like that. |
It's a simple matter of ecomonics about planes an older plane, for instance a 737-200, like the one that crashed can be as low as a million to about 3 million where as a brand new boeing 737-NG list price begins at a cool 45 million dollars. However it's somewhat false economics, an older 737-200 uses an engine type called a turbo-jet which works on the priciple of moving a small amount of air at high speed, these have now be replaced by a far more efficent design called a turbo-fan which works by moving a relatively large amount of air at a slower speed. wikipedia has some great information on the matter ![]() If you want to see the list prices on boeing jets look no furthur than boeing's website http://www.boeing.com/commercial/prices/ |
Perhaps the government had alterior motives for wanting pictures covered up? Given that it was carrying government employee's perhaps there is something that they don't want known? Now i'll stop acting like a conspircy theorist ![]() |
According to some of our media Nigeria doesn't have a nation wide radar system in place and that hampened rescue efforts. (also they said it's some times off because the power goes down to it) |
