Art, Graphics & VideoRe: How Can I Save Flash Game (swf.files) From A Website Into My C: Drive? by Hunter(m): 12:33pm On Mar 17, 2006
Yes its possible, I use a program called HTtrack ( http://www.httrack.com/ ) it's free so you can't go far wrong. cheesy

What Farriel I think is refering to is dissembling the SWF for the resources which is illegal (eg to take pictures from the flash)
ComputersRe: I Am Bored: What Else Is There To Do On The Internet? by Hunter(m): 12:31pm On Mar 17, 2006
Nah that doesn't sound like such a good idea tongue

Then he couldn't read here anyway,
PhonesRe: How Many Emergency Numbers Are In Your Phone? by Hunter(m): 12:31pm On Mar 17, 2006
None, in an emergency I just need to dial 000
They take care of everything in an emergency (firemen, police, hospital)

I'm not sure who in Nigeria you call in an emergency, traffic police?
FamilyRe: Dirty Housemates by Hunter(m): 9:46am On Mar 17, 2006
You don't want to see my bed room then wink

I think last time I opened the draw I smelt some old biscuits undecided
BusinessRe: Where To Change Dollars To Naira? by Hunter(m): 9:44am On Mar 17, 2006
Last I heard it was trading at N137 to $1 USD
TravelRe: Fingerprinting Uk Visa Applicants! by Hunter(m): 6:02am On Mar 17, 2006
well if you reversed the positions, would you want to be paying to support another countries citizen's?
TravelRe: Fingerprinting Uk Visa Applicants! by Hunter(m): 11:48pm On Mar 16, 2006
Should make it easier for honest people to enter and more difficult for dishonest people smiley
PhonesRe: Music Phones: Motorola ROKR Or Sony Ericsson W800? by Hunter(m): 11:46pm On Mar 16, 2006
Though the ROKR is much cheaper ($350 -> $400) as apposed to w800i (about $700)
But I do know something else :-)

If you buy a K750i, it's cheaper and you can copy the same walkman software to it cheesy (its somewhat more complicated than that but you get the idea)
ComputersComputer Stuff I've Written About by Hunter(op): 11:17pm On Mar 16, 2006
A few different article's i've written in the past few month's.

Might interest some of you (or it might not!)

How Useful is windows 95 today?
Sandisk Titantium 1gb Flash Drive
Civilization 4 Review
A look at the dreaded fanboi

The last one was a guest article cross posted with hardwaregeeks.com (the owner of the site is trying to launch a new site so I'm suppose to love-vendor that link instead smiley )

Thought some of these might interest you guy's so I decided to share cheesy

I was going to post it in member posted news but thought that might be a bit of an abuse of power wink
ComputersRe: Windows XP Media Center Edition by Hunter(m): 11:16pm On Mar 16, 2006
My brother's iBook takes probably a minute to wake up from hibernation (it's all relative to the amount of memory you have)
I don't bother using sleep on this pc it takes about the same amount of time to turn on or come out of sleep,

All media centre edition is, is a version of windows xp pro with additional software (the media centre, eshell.exe) if you look around the net you may even find it and instructions on how to put it in normal windows xp, cheesy
TravelRe: Lagos: The World's 5th Worst Place to Live In by Hunter(m): 7:35am On Mar 16, 2006
It's a survey based on different criteria, the criteria just happen to be based on things that Nigeria isn't the best at.
Things like Roads, Medical etc.

I'm sure it would be a different story if it was a culture survey or something like that.

If the number one goal of that survey was to talk down other societies, don't you think they would of ranked a UK city a bit better?
TravelRe: The Government And The Oil Companies Have Been Greedy In The Nigerdelta by Hunter(m): 7:28am On Mar 16, 2006
Interesting theory but i'm not sure I agree with you.
Most of the exptriates are there to teach Nigerian's how to do the job rather than do it for them, as its much cheaper for the oil companies to have a local person there than an expatriate.

Another thing, they can't say that they're their birthrights on one hand and on the other accept money for it.
It's one or the other.
TravelRe: NDLEA Officers At Murtala Muhammed Airport by Hunter(m): 7:23am On Mar 16, 2006
I found the staff at heathrow to be most curtious (I arrived going Lagos->Heathrow on BA)
Biggest complaint I had about heathrow is it is DAMN cold as in when I breathed out I could see a little mini cloud coming out of my mouth (like on a really cold day) and that was inside!
SportsRe: Commonwealth Games Are Officially Open! by Hunter(op): 7:20am On Mar 16, 2006
First gold medal just went to India
Canada came in second
Australia for bronze

It was women's weight lifting (though the indian one looked more masculin than half the guys at school )
PhonesRe: Music Phones: Motorola ROKR Or Sony Ericsson W800? by Hunter(m): 2:41am On Mar 16, 2006
w800i anyday of the week, the ROKR is a gimmick designed to ride on the success of the iPod.
The software on it is craptastic and they whole thing feels like its going to fall apart in your hands.

The w800i on the other hand feels well built and is well thought out.
SportsRe: Commonwealth Games Are Officially Open! by Hunter(op): 2:40am On Mar 16, 2006
I did, but I didn't get it lol cheesy
TravelRe: How Is Murtala Mohammed Airport Like, Anything New by Hunter(m): 2:39am On Mar 16, 2006
I think the terminal is the least of the problems though, appararantly frequent power outages to important systems happen as well.
ComputersRe: Microsoft Office 2007 User Interface by Hunter(m): 12:28am On Mar 16, 2006
Yes in previous version's some features were so well hidden away half the time nobody knew what I was talking about.

Now it's much easier to explain things.
EducationRe: College Drop-Out In Nigeria by Hunter(m): 12:27am On Mar 16, 2006
Some drop outs have good reasons to,
My dad was made redundent at the steel works (he was a metalurgist) and my mum was half way toward becoming a chemical engineer and she dropped out to marry my dad,
There is an example of a non lazy drop out cheesy

Thank god she did else there would be no me wink
EducationRe: Is Spelling Your Biggest Problem? by Hunter(m): 12:22am On Mar 16, 2006
I'm usually not to bad at spelling (most of my problems come from typing too fast etc) :-)
TravelRe: How Is Murtala Mohammed Airport Like, Anything New by Hunter(m): 12:21am On Mar 16, 2006
Loverbwoy, I only have one picture and thats of a plane cheesy
I don't like getting my camera out (apparantly you're suppose to clear it with security before taking any pictures, )
ProgrammingRe: C++ or Delphi by Hunter(m): 10:52pm On Mar 15, 2006
C++

It's also my understanding that delphi isn't a language its a program written by a company called Borland that you code pascal in.
TravelRe: How Is Murtala Mohammed Airport Like, Anything New by Hunter(m): 10:51pm On Mar 15, 2006
But thats what it still looks like,
TravelRe: NDLEA Officers At Murtala Muhammed Airport by Hunter(m): 10:50pm On Mar 15, 2006
If we're talking about the people that search people's bags by hand (where the ticket counters are) they were when I was last there they cleared every white person in the queue without even opening our bags,
Not the most secure setup I don't think,
ComputersRe: I Am Bored: What Else Is There To Do On The Internet? by Hunter(m): 10:48pm On Mar 15, 2006
Seun, why have a private library when you have hi speed internet wink
SportsRe: Commonwealth Games Are Officially Open! by Hunter(op): 10:46pm On Mar 15, 2006
I'm not sure what you're talking about there has been nothing like that announced on TV or the news.

Security is a big thing though yesterday I had about 5 helicopter's hovering about (there holding some events about 10km away) , apparantly it's a no fly zone above melbourne which stretchs 75km2 and anything in that will be intercepted and shot down,

I like planes so I get to see all sorts of different militry ones which is a good change cheesy
SportsCommonwealth Games Are Officially Open! by Hunter(op): 1:29pm On Mar 15, 2006

ComputersRe: Video Capture Card: Where To Buy And Cost by Hunter(m): 11:05am On Mar 15, 2006
I used a fairly old (back when wireless remotes where big things) VCR that has no troubles :-)
ComputersRe: Microsoft Office 2007 User Interface by Hunter(m): 11:04am On Mar 15, 2006
I'm actually pretty impressed with it to be honest, everything is well laid out and easy to use.

Everything just "feels" right.
ComputersRe: Video Capture Card: Where To Buy And Cost by Hunter(m): 12:07am On Mar 15, 2006
My brother bought one that was AUD$150 it does HD tv (which doesn't mean a whole lot for recording tv as most programs are still in SD format) but allows you to copy your own stuff in quite well. :-0
ComputersRe: I Am Bored: What Else Is There To Do On The Internet? by Hunter(m): 11:59pm On Mar 14, 2006
