See everybody get their own level in due time, I used to think like you that Naija babes no fine reach the other babes of other races, but as I grew older I realized something, they have something women of other races don't have, that Naija culture, food, religion,how you want to raise your children, so that makes up for the physical attraction, because how many fine babes we don knack wey, with stupid obnoxious Oyinbo character.

Also, majority of the Naija babes I used to think God forbid, this one worwor pass anything are now married with children, good jobs and loving a middle class lifestyle in obodo Oyinbo. I joined this company last year, few days after finishing my NYSC, they have the highest number of software developers in Africa and I was loving life, the salary is great with breakfast and lunch

They keep on employing so many software engineer with time the engineer become more than the available job, I saw it coming but I don't know what the board was thinking

2. How did the firing process happen?
We have a global (online) meeting which people are asked not to miss, I was not even listening very well to what they are saying, the president said there are more developer than engagement to they have to let some people go, a mail was sent to all impacted people and I discovered what has just happened

Almost 400 people has been fired across Africa

3. Aftermath of being fired… how did you feel, have you recovered, did you get something better?

The company is actually a great one, they brought in pychologist to speak with us, bring in different recruiter, and other stuff, most importantly the payoff was reasonable that I can afford a Mac laptop of almost half-a-million

Luckily for me I got another reasonable job in less than 3 weeks of been retrenched


I always laugh when people complain there is no job in Nigeria, less than 5 month after leaving my previous company I have turned down almost 4 other offers some even paying than my current one

I dont think it will be a problem. Just make sure you have evidence of any issue that may or have arisen based on your 'dragging' (emails will be a good example). You can always attach and refer to them to explain the reason for the bulk payments.

Please my oga's, i have worked in my present company for 3yrs 8months now, its a construction company and we get paid in cash or bank (not from company account), on my payslips it shows pension and tax remitted, BUT I have never gotten any pension alert nor seen my tax receipts, prior to my looking into migration the boss is always like its when you are resigning we transfer your pension and all.

Last week I went to meet him that I needed it and he was been very evasive, its a Chinese firm based in PH & the accountant called me by the side and told me they don't remit shi-shi, He advised I keep bugging so they pay it, that I should even involve the community if need be, I intend dragging this case out and taking it to the highest level to have my benefits remitted.

Please I wanted to know if they finally pay it now, it won't be a problem of why they haven't remitted it since. I am so pissed off, some of this expatriates really take us for a ride.
