Depending on how you want it. If you wanna go with the sponsorship letter route, then 2million naira will be Ok if you very very economical and lucky to get part time job within few weeks of arrival (But sponsorship letter is a more risky route).

I think it is tough for everyone - both males and females - but it appears to be easier for the males because they make the move, while the females wait for others to come for them first.
