For joke text 419 to Ikaenyan0... Igbira has 5 local government and that were APC can win, OKUN will vote for DINO , they have 7 local givernment , Igala with 9 local government will vote for MURIC SDP, APc cannot win

Una Don come with all this una imagineless victory, go to the field and see how APC is conducting their campaign. Left to me I don't want APC to come back to Kogi, but currently PDP lacks the structure to battle APC in Nigeria. PDP needs to hold a national confab and beg Nigerians so dearly and present to Nigeria either Obi or someone else from the South and Nigeria shall be on the right path again.

The Nigeria Customs Service and 62 other Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of the Federal Government should not collect revenue directly, Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, Mr. Taiwo Oyedele, has said.

Oyedele spoke Wednesday when he featured as a guest on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily breakfast programme.

According to him, the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) is best suited to collect revenue for the MDAs.

He said Nigeria’s revenue collection from taxes is one of the lowest in the world but the cost of collection is high.

He said: “Ironically, our cost of collection is one of the highest. And the reason for that is that we’ve got all manners of agencies. The Federal Government alone, we have 63 MDAs that were given revenue targets last year, no; actually in the 2023 budget.

“And two things that would come up from that: on one hand, these agencies are being distracted from doing their primary function which is to facilitate the economy. Number two, they were not set up to collect revenue, so, they won’t be able to collect revenue efficiently.

“So, move those revenue collection functions to the FIRS. It has two advantages: the cost of collection and efficiency will improve, these guys will focus on their work, and the economy will benefit as a result.

“If you are Customs, focus on trade facilitation, border protection and if you are NCC (Nigerian Communications Commission), just regulate telecommunications. You are not set up to collect revenue.

“It can be your revenue and someone else can collect it for you. There will be more transparency because you see what is being collected and is accounted for properly. It is also a way of holding ourselves to account as to how we spend the money we collect from the people.”

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently meeting with former Governors of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai and Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The two former governors are ministerial nominees.

However, Wike was screened and confirmed by the senate, while El-Rufai is yet to be cleared over an alleged security report.

The duo came separately to the State House.

While Wike came around 1:40 pm, El-Rufai entered the presidential wing of Aso Rock around 2pm.

Sources at the Presidential Villa hinted that efforts are being made to ensure that the Senate confirms Malam El-Rufai.

A fictional tale to shame women. Imagine catering for four kids and a bedridden man at the age of 26( when your mates are going from dates to dates and partying)

This should be the duty of a woman in her 50s whereby haven enjoyed the protection and provision of a man for decades, repays him by nursing him and taking care of him when ill health arises but not a young lady at 26.
So try to see things from the mother perspective.

Men walk out of their families and abandon their wives with kids if they feel overwhelmed or for their peace of mind,so why should this be different?

The lady in question can drop the man temporarily with his relations and give her kids to her parents then go Abroad. While abroad she can be sending money for the upkeep of her kids and husband till she can bring the kids over. The man should remain in naija while the wife hires a nurse and sends up keep till he is stable enough before he can join them over

Depression will kill the man before she returns. Ack for him. Only God can heal the man and put him back on his feet again.

Enjoy Nwanyi Oma na your money, if e too pain you. Carry your money go do charity.
