Politics / MURIC Condemns Akwa Ibom Govt. But Has Never Condemned ….. by iamvictorbassey: 8:07pm On Jul 20, 2021
I just read this heading and content now on front page “Muric Condemns Akwa Ibom Govt For Fixing Exam On Salah Day”.

Unfortunately I wasn’t opportuned to come online when it was posted to make air my opinion. I also thought of it as wrong to comment about it in another thread thereby derailing the thread.

One of the biggest problem I have with Nigerians is hypocrisy. Today, MURIC has found a voice to complain about the fixing of an exam on “Eid (Salah) day, but has never said anything about all of the tests and exams lecturers set on Boxing Day and other Christian holidays in northern universities.

I’m not typing “hearsay” I’m typing what I know. A lot of my friends attended Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto. Myself has had affiliations with the University and could not stand those nonsenses which was why I refused to attend the university. Usually when I returned for the holidays in December I usually scheduled to see my friends who studied at UDUS and they’ll tell me then how they had test on those days. It was strategic, intentional and very deliberate. The lecturers would not set the tests on previous days until it was Christmas, Boxing, New Year, Easter, Good Friday etc.

This is why I don’t believe in the lie that we can ever coexist, because religious people low key don’t love each other. But as hypocrites they mostly are, they’re quick to say “We’re one” “It’s the same God”. It’s a lie abeg. You don’t love each other admit it.

I’m not supporting the Akwa Ibom state government’s decision, it’s very wrong of them to have done that even if it’s one Muslim student in Akwa Ibom, he ought to be respected. Neither am I advocating for Christians because myself I don’t care about both religions. I hold absolute reservations on both.

What I’m saying in a nutshell is when you see something wrong, condemn it neutrally. Stop being a hypocrite. Stop taking sides with wrong because it favors you.

Education in Nigeria. Where’s the morale when someone spends hours into studying only to end up receiving 10,000 as reward. Then someone who isn’t half as educated is way bigger.

They may have depreciated value-wise, but that doesn't mean it's all vanity. Some people will pay top notch money for these cars. It may be difficult for you to comprehend. Things evolve; doesn't mean the previously made ones are now in vain. Without Alexander Graham Bell, inventing the telephone, you wouldn't have what to use to type this. His first invention may not be of use right now, but it set a model for several other ones. Without Johannes Gutenberg, you wouldn't even have the printed copy of the bible you're always quoting. Vintage things are still useful and important, that's why we have museums. They may not be useful to you 'cause you lack the knowledge and technical know how, but let those that do, appreciate them. EVERYTHING IS NOT VANITY. You can't take it along when you die doesn't mean it can't be useful to someone else.

Someone as intelligent as you’re is stooping low to reply that fanatic who doesn’t know shît about life, than post rubbish on this forum. The niggr is just a nuisance. In an ideal forum he should be banned for spamming everywhere with his beliefs and disturbing the sanity of this forum. It’s good you have time to reply and school him.

Foreign Affairs / Re: President Trump Pledges Orderly Transition On January 20 by iamvictorbassey: 10:12am On Jan 07, 2021
grin Baba just wanted to shake the ground a bit. At least he didn't leave without a fight. Though very unnecessary.

You see, loosing is painful. Loosing and accepting defeat is a virtue only real men can handle. One's character should be truly tested before being handed some kinda supreme powers. Because it's easy to put them there, but very difficult to remove them. Although good a thing countries like USA have a laid structure in place to handle cases like this in case the President refuses to handover. But how about the fact that about 4 people have died for no reason? Imagine Trump were to be in a lawless country like Nigeria? He'd force himself on us.

If a well trained person like, Trump from a civilized country like USA can find it so difficult to release Power. How much more G.E.J?

I remember people saying there's no biggie in what GEJ did and I ask, if only you know how powerful (in terms of privileges conferred) the Nigerian president is, you wouldn't say so.

On the other hand Trump fùcked up big time. Nigga had a loud mouth, as far as I'm concerned he could have hated blacks all he wanted dealt with immigrants etc and still kept quiet.

Take for instance El Rufai of Kaduna, he is dealing decisively with Southern Kaduna Christians but he doesn't need to make noise about it. All he needs to do is come on TV and condemn the killings and say this popular line, "I assure you that the perpetrators of this evil act shall be brought to book".
If you tell fellow Muslims that the CSO of the state has a body language that supports ethnic cleansing, they'll disprove because he has never said such. But should El Rufai come out and say "I hate Christians and we'll bla bla" even some fellow Muslims will not vote for him out of sympathy.

In other words, working in silence will always pay off. And please don't quote me to tell me that nonsense you want to. Because there's no way you'll tell me that the Governor/CSO I mean Chief "SECURITY" officer of a state would not know what's going on in his territory. Everytime you condemn killings.

This is why I can't be a Christian, NO VIOLENCE. I can't be the one allowing peace to reign. Not possible

Me I for like receive this mark of the beast o.

Few days ago, me and my gees were discussing and we said, " If not that the Bible and it's contents has gone viral and is accessible to er'one, by now the same group of guys who wrote it to control your lives would have edited it to feature some modern advancement and technologies claiming that the Israeli White Boy said all of those would come to pass". Unfortunately, this isn't the dark days when only priests were the only ones with access to read and have custody of Bibles.

I have come to realize that when white people say the truth, we call them racist. But it doesn't matter whose ox is gored, I'll tell you as a fellow black man that ”Generally" speaking the black race is a retrogression to global advancement. Blacks are waste of oxygen as they have no brains of their own to think. Everything they possess and do they were handed. For instance they call their wedding ceremony traditional, and call the whites' white wedding.

Can we not contribute money, buy tools, share amongst ourselves, and one day end everybody who has in one way or the other tried to Bleep with us(our generation)?

Present and past politicians, chief justices and the rest, government officials etc.

We can do it. If I die in the process I'll be glad. I swear.

This is a suggestion.

I feel bad when I see matured countries where they value human life trying to empathize and interfere with activities going on in this laboratory.

They actually don't know that we're acting a script. And that Nigeria is a seasonal movie with a valid YouTube channel.

They think this is the United States where human lives are valued. They fail to understand that here the government can stage whatever they desire. And kill whoever they desire, besides we're beneath animals here.

Politics / Re: President Buhari At 78: Cabinet Make-up by iamvictorbassey: 1:14pm On Dec 17, 2020
I wouldn't love to find myself believing something unverified and untrue. But for a while now, I have decided to read in between the lines. And I'd like y'all to drop your sentiments and bias in drawing your judgement on this.

Before then, I dunno how many of you have watched the movie "The devil's double". It'll help you in understanding this write-up.

For sometime now, there's been this rumor especially from MNK that Buhari is dead. But simply because you hate someone and say thrash about them doesn't mean I'll believe you. Nah!

For a while now, I decided to put all options on the table and watch closely. And I have come to notice that Buhari only offers pre-recorded speeches. Including during ENDSARS and any other time.

Recently the houses invited him, but he refused to honour the invitation. Because it was going to involve questions and answer session. So I asked myself, is the president going to continue avoiding public live speeches and discussions for the next 3 years?

Then I thought to myself, "What If" Buhari is actually dead? But the cabinet or cabal or whatever you call it decided to allow the North and his family members enjoy their own part of the agreement by allowing the Buharis enjoy their own 8 years? So as to not disrupt the process.

One would say Tinubu on knowing that Buhari is dead should immediately kick in with joy.

1. But don't forget that the constitution only allows for the vice president to become the next president who happens to be Osinbajo.

2. Take it or leave it, there are always limitations to what someone can do on your behalf in position of power. Decisions taken as if it were can never be compared to decisions taken when it actually is.

3. Besides people change, and Osinbajo can change with such ultimate powers bestowed on him.

4. If Osinbajo takes over, what's the guarantee that he will not request his own second term?

5. If Osinbajo agrees to release power to Tinubu, The North would be suffering power interruption the second time, and if such happens they will be power thirsty during his tenure and might cause a lot of distractions while he is in office.

These and a few other reasons could be why Tinubu decided to let the body double come in. So that the North would have had a perfect and complete 8 years tenure. And as such would not be thirsty enough to disrupt or damage his own 8 years democratic tenure. Who knows?

At the end, these are all "What Ifs". I could be wrong though. I actually think a lot though. And very far too.

I have this strong opinion about the generation of our parents that I often get into argument with my educated Dad on issues of politics and bad governance in this government. It's so sad that most of our parents never saw the need to support us during Endsars..it was painful especially how they believe we are just a bunch of recalcitrant generation......Same thing I hear when I argue with older folks, who usually say we don't listen to elders...That paternalistic attitude and elder worship have to stop

You're on point bro. They're just not intentional in their doings. They have been made to believe in miracles. Infact they're just the problem we suffer. They're mistakes is what we're paying for

In my life, I have never seen a more stupid, docile, ignorant and non challant group of people like the generation of "our" parents and grandparents. Yes! I said so.

Very stupid, they were the sets of people who were handed all of the stupid manuals we use today. Whether right or wrong they took it like that without debates or questions.

Talk about political manuals, religious manuals, educational manuals, social manuals etc. The stupid syllabus they were given is what they still shove down our throat till today. They have no discernment to understand when trends are changing. Take for instance, in NYSC they still give one stupid allowance called "Bicycle allowance". I believe that money was given back then as transport fare in the olden days. As we speak today. They price remains the same upon the fact that the value has depreciated badly. Those dumb older ones need an Alien to come tell them that this allowance no longer serves it's purpose. They keep applying old formulae on new patterns. Very die hard and orthodox set of people.

Those in their generation who know how to "drive" take the rear seat while those who don't know anything, drive the economy, drive the ministries, drive the government sectors and the entire country into abyss. Then they come out and ask us to pray to God. How dumb?

I was even most disappointed and disgusted in them during the #ENDSARS protest. Your children are being hunted and killed daily like games. And you are going to work. Which nonsense work? The work you are going to, who do you plan to inherit the proceeds from the work you are going to? They refuse to support us or lend us a voice. Some of our parents are connected enough to call international shots. Yet they kept quiet and took the back seat like they have always done. They failed to understand that what goes around comes around.

And if you think your own parents are excluded because they don't participate in anything, know it that they are even more of the problem. Because violence thrives in the midst of silence.

In 2014 when they kidnapped Chibok girls to discredit Jonathan's government, I said to my friends verbally that "This trend will not stop for it has come to stay. No one has the monopoly of violence. And black people are more inclined to learning bad examples than good". Unfortunately I didn't write it down. I wished I did. This nonsense of kidnapping school students to discredit a sitting government is very wrong and stupid, it was initiated by the highly desperate APC government. Today they are tasting their bitter pill.

The truth is discrediting a Nigerian government is not difficult because the security personnel in Nigeria if properly distributed is insufficient to secure the entire Nigerian population without multiple loopholes. The then opposition capitalized on that to create anarchy. Today, they have taught the present opposition power grabbing techniques that involve disregarding human lives. And you know what? It won't stop here. There will be many more of these occurrences in the future. Possibly sef, I suspect bomb blasts will start by maybe next year in a build up to 2023. I'm not being pessimistic. I'm just being real.

Don't bother quoting me to rant nonsense. I don't reply stupid people.
