Family › Re: How Children With Responsible Parents Suddenly Becoming Bad by Iamzik: 7:16pm On Apr 04, 2023 |
The fear of the Lord is to depart from evil.
There are two influences at play. Influences around (parents, peers, friends, environment) and the innate character of the child.
Concentrate on building the inner character to withstand bad influences in the environment. Watch the friend your child keep, be attentive to changes in his character as he grows. Bad company will always corrupt good manner if pressured long enough.
I learnt this from a teacher but those who are parents will be able to share practical experience.
I was fortunate to be surrounded by more good friends than bad and I always thanks God for this.
Even children from responsible parents can turn out bad but the the major problem today is that Children who refused home training are now parents themselves and you can't give what you don't have so the cycle continues.

EriMma1: Yes a woman can dash her man money. Nothing dey there. It's you men that are making it look like it's an abomination for a man to gift his wife money. My dear it is not an abomination Man have been giving women money from time immemorial and they continue to do so. Most men spend all they have on family - wife, children and relations without complaining but most naija women have this mindset that it is abnormal to bring out money and meet a need in the home. This is no longer 1970 where women were full house wives. Women need to change that "I am a man's responsibility" mentality. |

EriMma1: This is why I'll never marry an average income earner because they can complain and press calculator? See all of them here. Calculator pressers. That is why i advise men not to get married until they have a high income job, to avoid all this kind of headache but no, that small thing dangling under can't wait to start eating what the big boys are eating. They just jump enter marriage with 120k salary and start punching calculator here and there.
So when it comes to giving your wife money, mathematics go enter am?. You can't give her money to maintain that same body you mount every now and then? Na him you turn financial expert seeker/adviser.? SMH. This generation of men have lost it.
Na this kind things make marriage no dey hungry me again because if all a man can offer is to panel-beat my body and not care whether knots and bolts don dey loose or find it difficult to give me when I request, then ill rather live singularly, work and take care of myself without stress or any body knacking me up and down with no benefits or care. abi you wan dey chop me make i no chop you back? Iamgrey5: Look at the result of the election across Yorubaland to even Kwara and tell yourself the truth again. Tinubu view does not represent the views of all Yorubas the same way that Adebanjo's view does not necessarily represent the view of all yorubas. You don't seem to understand the difference between winning elections and speaking for an entire tribe. Obasanjo won presidency twice but lost in southwest. Even while he was president he was not popular in the South West. Tinubu was declared winner but lost osun his home state and would have lost oyo and Ogun if not for his alliance with seyi makinde. Trying to delegitimize anyone who does not agree with Tinubu is unwise. Afenifere is well respected in and outside Nigeria |

Iamgrey5: I believe Pa Adebajo should start speaking for himself henceforth, not Yorubas in general..
His views doesn't represent the views of the average Yoruba which voted almost 70% against his choice.
He should focus on his bruised Ego that has been badly damaged by Tinubu political goodwill and fortune amongst average Yorubas. Tinubu's and bisi akande's view does not represent the entire Yoruba nation either so what's your point? |

Instead of using 2 million and crack your brain on how to profitably invest it, you went on a wild goose chase of elusive government job that pays peanut except you have opportunity to start stealing. If you ask them now they start shouting pension. Pensions that most die waiting for. Take your destiny into your hands my friends He is not paying for the job. N3TRAL: Datti is a terrible character.
He is an extremist with an evil heart.
Even as a senator, he was the only out of 109 to propose a bill for homosexuals and others under the LGBT umbrella to be killed.
He literally gave a lengthy talk on the floor of the national assembly about why gay people should be killed. His colleagues, fellow legislators, who are extreme in their own way were shocked at the level of Datti's extremism.
With Datti's antecedent, no developed nation of the world would trust him in public office.
When I reflect during leisure hours sometimes, I wonder why "progressive generation Z" in Nigeria let the anti human rights proposals Datti made in the past to slide.
Was it really about progress, positive change or something else? What is your definition of human right? |
Politics › Re: The Tribal Slur Between Igbos And Yoruba,as A Northerner This What I Have To Say by Iamzik: 6:07pm On Mar 31, 2023 |
PROUDIGBO: You’re deluded as well as paranoid!
Can you mention the Igbo proven to have called Lagos ‘no man’s land’!? To the best of my knowledge, i can only think of Orji Uzor Kalu!
And what if someone called Lagos a no man’s land? What stops you from calling one of their own cities a no man’s land as well and draw a line under the issue!? Why so overly sensitive and paranoid!?
Lagos was the former capital of Nigeria, with billions of dollars of national commonwealth and effort of all ethnicities sunk into its development! Have you paid for all this before wanting to completely claim Lagos for yourselves!? There are Nigerians who are 3rd or 4th generation Lagosians, and you think you can just waltz in from Iragbiji to tell them they and their children should stay out of Lagos politics and governance as they have no stake in the state because they’re not Yoruba or because their mother is Igbo….all in total contravention of the Nigerian constitution that’s presently propping up your ‘one Nigeria’ and giving you the opportunity to engage in mafioso-like criminality in Lagos!?
If Kano, Onitsha, or any other Nigerian city for that matter, was once the capital of the country and had billions of dollars of national commonwealth pumped into it, any Nigerian would be well within their rights to want to be interested in the city and its governance!
These are unimpeachable facts, and if they don’t sit well with you, then either get the Nigerian constitution changed to reflect your bigotry and hate…..or get Nigeria dissolved so everyone can go answer their papa name! This way, you can keep Lagos to yourselves and limit the number of visas you give to any ethnicity you’ve profiled as being ‘troublemakers’! No need for all this long grammar. Tell your people to stop calling other people's state no man land. It is not only orji kalu. Your youths were making videos and sharing from one WhatsApp group to the other. Calabar was federal capital, same as lokoja at some point. I don't hear Igbos calling these places no man land and trying to install a stooge governor there. Do your business, make your money and live in peace with your family. No Yoruba is interested in becoming governor in Anambra and none of them will call umuahia a no man land because it is igbo land. Lagos and the entire Southwest has been accomodating and hospitable to Igbos. Learn a lesson from this. Respect the indegenges and let's live in peace |

sunboy: Again, there are 4 functional and underutilized ports in SS.
Stop saying there’s no seaport in the SS. Use those and reduce congestion on Lagos, that’s the primary reason the FG built those ones.
Also, states can build seaports if they are serious about it. Lagos did it! Why can’t any other state get their approval from the FG and do the same? Functional and underutilized. Have you cared to ask why they are underutilized? |

sunboy: First it was no seaport now it’s full size ship?
Okay, Onne does have the capacity if there’s need for expansion from high utilization in shre the NPA will do the needful. It alone generated 240bn in 2022 with over 20% increase in its usage. Onne currently has 12 berths and it’s being expanded to 19 in the future. Do you need more facts on others that I have listed
"If there is need for expansion NPA will do the needful"
I use your own words. No need for further comments.
Let NPA do the needful so that an Igbo man importing spare parts to be sold in the east will not first clear them in Lagos and the put several trucks on the road to move them to the east. |
