Nigerians are funny...these people didn't force u to take their loans and i am so sure that we all know that default has its implications.
Why take loans when u know paying would be an issue? It is high time we tell ourselves the truth.

BlueBanana: Girls like this make me scared of having a daughter She is a typical example of bad parenting...no trained woman will ever reveal her picture to say all this nonsense nor be bold about it. We shouldn't think all women are like this. I took my grand mum to a bank one day, that was about 13years ago and while the account officer was delaying in attending to her, she insisted on seeing the branch manager of that very branch even when they begged her,she outrightly refused. Then when the branch manager came down, mama said as I recalled her words, she said are u the branch manager, she retortedly answered in the affirmative, mama further said, that when people are frowning at girl child,u are the head of branch and she said it to as many who were listening to her and the branch manager smiled and ushered her in. Girl child are blessings to us and we shall continually thank God for the gift and not think that men are better either. After all, there are many women today that we all wish were our sisters and aunty because their achievement's in life. |

franchasng: You don't have sense, sorry to say that.
Most of you are teenage boys and girls without knowledge
Whenever you hear billionaire you think it starts and ends with Dangote, Otedola, Adenuga and the ones u know.
Go ask Forbes Magazine to name them for you.
I am not from Nnewi, but I must agree with Forbes that Nnewi is the richest community in Nigeria that have the highest number of millionaires and billionaires, go and find out.
They didn't say the community that has the richest person in Nigeria which Dangote's community in Kano will be the answer, they said richest community with more number of rich people.
Travel out of your place, stop living the normal life of your fathers and grandfathers who lived and died in their hometown and maybe a visit to Lagos and London and that's all. Learn to travel.
Before I turned 27yrs, I have visited 10 states in Nigeria and 3 countries in Africa, and by the time I was 30, I have visited 4 countries in Africa, 2 in Asia, 1 in Middle east and 2 in Europe, and 28 states in Nigeria; including all states in southwest, all states in southeast, all states in southsouth and few states in the north. That is the lifestyle of an average Igbo man for you and reason we know much more than those with PhD that refused to travel out of their state.
Mind you, I didn't travel to most of the Nigerian states to live and work or do business, I went out of curiosity to know more. I know Yoruba communities more than most Yorubas, so when I talk about Yoruba land, most Yoruba youths cannot challenge me because a traveler is wiser than a grey hair person.
You Yorubas need to learn to travel stop being cowards scared of dying if you visit other regions, of course that is what will make you brave and famous.
If not that Fulanis refused to modernise and accept modern lifestyle, they are the number one tribe that travel so far and wide and know every nook and cranny of all regions of Nigeria and reason they are fearless and brave.
Learn to travel and stop staying in your comfort zone in Ikirun, Ilesa, Ijebu or Lagos and be asking stupid questions Tell them...especially the educated illiterates among them. |

Calabar1stSon: Common sense you no get, how could have two masters degree, I mean not just one but two
First master degree no give you work, then you proceed to another master degree and no work still, you come proceed go do your PhD still no work? Why did you not use the money for business? Guy go and burn those degrees.
Well, the money for the degrees weren't yours actually that's the reason for this recklessness.
I know say na the PhD you take apply for N-power 30k My brother, there was a guy who I worked with some years back in a mortgage company in Nigeria. The guy had a degree and a master from Birmingham's university in England, I came with our local degree and yet my salary was bigger and this guy earned just 70k as monthly salary. One day,I called and asked him why he used huge sum of money to travel abroad only to secure a 70k job,he said, only if he had known the trend in the country he wouldn't have tried it. After I left them and moved to another job,I heard he had started a business. Nigeria is frustrating, the merit system has been bastardised and no one can be so certain of getting a job these days and I wonder what our children will go through if we dont correct certain things in this country. |

Polchiz: Please go for your M.SC (not professional masters) if you have the means. Most multinationals and banks recently (I know of Ecobank) now includes M.SC. as requirements for even Trainee positions. It equally prepares you for opportunities in Academia and international NGOs. Most importantly, don't go for Masters degree for the purpose of getting a job only but do it with the best of your abilities and learn new skills and ideas in your field. If you can come up with a ground-breaking research in your field, that alone can take you places. Yes, in Nigeria you can succeed without connections if you know what you are doing. U can succeed I agree but pray ur village people are asleep when u go for that ground breaking interview,if not there is no guarantee. |
