Unlimited22:I don't discuss with hothead over one game. I'm known for taking long positions, not shaking over one game. I'm one of the only nigga who never said a bad word against Pedro last season because I know what situation he came into while Conteddicted was cursing his mother up and down. I'm the only one who backed Matic last season whilst people were talking nonsense about Mikel. This season came and went, Mikel did not see one minute of action. A hothead raving over Swansea does not change my opinion of our most robust midfield. I would have played Fabregas today if I'm manager! Next week Conte will decide that West Ham midfield is too physical for Fabregas and they have too many tall players for set pieces. He will drop Fabregas and all that will happen is Conteddicted will curse his mother. Any Stevie Wonder who claims Matic was not a key part of those wins should watch the video of his performance vs Arsenal in this link. http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2017/2/8/14545954/nemanja-matic-has-been-the-best-midfielder-in-england-this-season |
Nihilist:This is Swansea midfield we are talking about who ain't about midfield battle. This is hardly a litmus test of that position. I personally would have started Fabregas today. Amyway forget story, this lady on frontpage is my cousin. Come yarn me better thing. ![]() https://www.nairaland.com/3650166/praise-sam-ogan-boobs-pop |
Nihilist:Didn't say it was due to Fabregas. I'm wondering why the hyperbole over an uncomfortable win over Swansea at home, like we were losing before now, when we have been trashing much better teams than Swansea comfortably. |
Nihilist:17 minutes to the end of the game, we were dropping points and hoping for victory at home against Swansea. In most of our matches this season, we are home and dry by 60 minutes. |
Unlimited22:It was a great performance from Fabregas but not a comfortable win from Chelsea as we have been seeing all season. |
Nihilist:It was only Swansea yet we nearly dropped points. |
Unlimited22:That lanky Serb was part and parcel of our 4 most dominant performances of the season - Everton 5-0, Utd 4-0, Southampton 2-0 and Arsenal 3-1. We went 1-0 up against Swansea and you guys started shouting Die Matic, then spent the rest of the game praying not to drop points before Pedros goal toward the end |
Nihilist:Calm down ogbeni. It's only Swansea. See Alonso balling. |
Dieeeeeeeeeeeeggggggooooaaaaaaaaaaalllllll!!!! |
Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeedddriiiiiiiiiiiitooooo. Oya Raumdeuter come start the comparison. I dey your back! ![]() |
Swansea starting to crank up pressure. Make these boys wake up o. |
Who left Victor Moses to mark Swanseas best header of the ball there? What are Luiz and Cahill doing? |
Pedro almost doing a Hazard there |
raumdeuter:No need checking Pedro vs Hazard goal contribution then since Pedro has won all the above. |
raumdeuter:Don't forget the Iniesta vs Chilavert one while you're at it. |
afrodoc2:What of Burndisligdown. How many titles from how many winners? Why is Dayo always crying more than the bereaved? Dayo and Bundesliga are serial bridesmaids always arguing which bride is the most beautiful. KOWA party always putting mouth in APC and PDP business that doesn't concern them. |
Nihilist:What of Ibime? ![]() |
raumdeuter:Definitely when I'm talking you know there are some facts behind it even though some hyperbole may be involved. European Cup was not taken seriously by the FA in the 1950s who discouraged English clubs from competing and that was also the prevailing attitude of English clubs. It was Man Utd that fought for England to start taking the tournament seriously and for the first few years, they were on their own in that regard.

Danhumprey:Follow the thread of the conversation please. Donjazet said English league has always been shyte except 2004-2010. Au contraire, normalising for the late 1950s and early 1960s when English clubs refused to join UCL and for 1986 to 1998 when English clubs were expelled from Europe for hooliganism and took their time to recover, English clubs have been the dominant force in UCL. In other words, for the period that England have been actively competing in UCL, they have been the top dogs. In the mid 1970s to 1980s before England was expelled, whoever they send to UCL wins it. If Liverpool couldn't qualify, Aston Villa would go and win it. Nottingham Forest twice won it when Liverpool couldn't qualify. Basically any team the English league puts forward will be champions before their expulsion from Europe. |
donjazet:Remember that English teams were banned from Europe for 5 years from the late 1980s to early 1990s due to the Heysel disaster. After the English teams returned, they had been left behind and it took till 1999 to win it again. In effect, England spent 13 years in the wilderness before getting back to their previous status - due to the expulsion. The Italian period of dominance in the 1990s should have belonged to the English if not for that expulsion. If you take away first mover advantage of the 1950s and early 1960s when English FA refused their teams to join UCL (this is the period Real Madrid swept up 5 trophies) and take away 1986 to 1998 when England was serving suspension and then recovering from the suspension, then it is fair to say that England has beasted every other country in UCL. |
donjazet:English teams dominated the 70s, 80s and 2000s. You are just a child of the 90s, that's all. English league has 5 different UCL winners. No other country has more than 3. In the last 11 years, England has 3 seperate winners. That is diversity and strength in depth. |
Dayo having a field day on this thread. Please we are not in Europe oh. Carry your sermon to Arsenal and Spurs thread. We are the choir. When Chelsea go to Europe, we represent 8 times out of 10. All 4 European cups are in our possession. |
042 All na simultaneous equation. |
raumdeuter:So does Nottingham Forest |
raumdeuter:And it took Madrid 9 attempts yet couldn't reach UCL semi. JM did in his 1st season. |
This is me lordfalcao reporting live from Etihad. Una see my goal? |
bykebyke:And how many assists has his dribbles created? ZERO league assists in one calendar year I remember. Less than Dani Alves I remember. Toooooooorrrrrrr! Monaaaaaaaacoooooo!!!! |
homesteady:Kevin De Bruyne - worlds best midfielder in 2015 with 50 goals plus assists Iniesta - worlds best CARRYALONG midfielder in 2015 with ZERO league goals and ZERO league assists in one full calendar year. |
bykebyke:Tales of dribbles like Pius Ikedia. Show us goals. Nothing. Show us assists. Nothing. Show us passes per game. Nothing. Just Pius Ikedia metrics. |
Godstraight:You be real mugu for quoting 2015. Name the midfielder that went a whole league season with ZERO goals and ZERO assist in 2015 season. I'm sure you missed the vital adjective in your sentence. You meant to ask me who was the world's best CARRYALONG midfielder in 2015. |
raumdeuter:Pinnochio, your lies are getting worse each day. From 32 years old to 34. Do you work for IRS, why are you putting tax on his age? Please tell me how Mr 53 passes per game would be in top 30 passers in laliga even if he played every game? |
Nihilist:You can see how false Iniestas reputation for possession football is. He can't score, can't assist and does not run any possession game. That's why we named him Pius Iniesta, for dribbling himself upandan. Oh what a Xaviless Barcelona. |
