Christianity Etc › Re: Is It Compulsory For Me To Pay Tithe As A Student From My Small Allowance? by Ibime(m):
jaymejate:
Please, i need a Godly, Moral advice on this.

I'm still a student and i am willing to give to God but my allowance is very small.
After removing money for handouts, textbooks and assignments, the left over is little that it might not last 5 days. Should i still go ahead and give the tithe?
Tithe is only to be paid from the fruit of your labour. From what you harvest from your farms or receive as salary.

Tithe is NOT to be paid on what you receive as charity. Charity and upkeep of the Lord's house is the reason why tithe was implemented in the first place. Why would a charity case like yourself start taking out 10% to give to other charities? If you need to pay exam fees, will you go and ask your parents for the exam fee + 10% for God's portion? Please receive sense!

The mom wasn't a stable person I think and the dad though successful dey do him own hustle from Uk, to Canada to Yankee

Honestly regardless of how much you spend on kids if you dont spend time together they might resent you and just take your money.

He was left with his biological mom, Maybe Dele felt his dad could have done more to be with him apart from giving him money. The dad as an SAP consultant moved on to a new life, new wife, new family and left him with an unstable mom who I read was into drugs at some time.

I heard Dele grew up a bit wayward and if not for his football talent might have been one of those kids knifing each other in dark alleys

I am just giving Dele the benefit of doubt as I believe kids have reasons for misbehaving
His mum was asewo, thats it. She got 4 kids by 4 different men.

The pops is a straight dude, he caught the mum in a nightclub, breeded her and she messed up Dele's upbringing.

This is a lesson that no matter how well you hustle for your kid, if you leave him with the wrong woman, he will take his frustration with his mum out on you because you were not there to save him from his mum.

With £20k spent yearly on academics alone here in naija, one can comfortable say the man tried.

Who must have wronged the nigga then? Worst part is that he doesn't even feel like stating why he needs to change identity.
Do kids know how much their parents pay for school fees, especially a kid from England where the notion of school fees is foreign? Don't be surprised if the first time Dele recognised that his Dad spent such amount per year is from this interview.

TBH, if you ask me, his mum must have miscafon, meanwhile his pops was not around, and any kid in such situation will blame his mum and equally his Pops who is absent to argue his case.

While we're at it. . . .

In the 8 years they played together:

Drogba 157 goals, Lampard 156 goals

In the 12 years they played together:

Messi 477 goals, Iniesta 51 goals

In other words:

Drogba and Lampard = Teammates

Messi and Iniesta = Host and Parasite

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Ibime(m):
The word legend encompasses more than just your skill on the football pitch.

I always prefer to discuss who is the best, not who is the greatest or who is a legend, which has emotional connotations.

Because Legend extends to the kind of man you are, your personality, leadership etc.

Mohammed Ali is not the best boxer of all time but he is called The Greatest for his political stance which he suffered for. Someone like Larry Holmes would most likely beat Mohammed in his prime because Larry Holmes beats everybody. But the difference between them is that fans relate to the emotional connection with Mohammed's struggles against the Government, and relate to his underdog comeback against all odds vs Frasier.

Drogba is a legend to all Africans, not just Chelsea fans. This is a footballer who paused a civil war. His leadership qualities is on fleek. No player who has played with him will tell you he is not the man they look up to the most in the dressing room.

This is a man that can take Bosingwa, Mikel, Ramires, Meireles, Bertrand, Gary Cahill and Salomon Kalou to Camp Nou and Allianz arena, tell them to sit back and just pump long ball to him, and he will battle to win it with 4 players around him, hold it up and score the decisive goal. He may not be the best striker of his era, but no other striker can use sheer force of will and physicality and bring trophy out of the players I just mentioned. For that, he is a legend.

All your fellow Barca fans told me he is not an AM. Which of you are confused?

I'm happy you consider him an AM. I consider him an AM for 70% of his career until the last 3 years.

But come o bros, do you know any good AM than only does ZERO goals and 5 assists per season? grin grin grin

well, he isn't a cm, so kindly show me Am's doing 100 passes. As for your question, I already answered. Also show us Am's that hardly gets dispossessed like iniesta
If he is an AM, show me his goals and assists.

Since Xavi left, Iniesta has dropped deeper in an attempt to replicate Xavis function, but to no avail.

The football you are playing is not anti-football, but it is just not tiki taka. You still keep 60%, sometimes 70% sef of possession. This is not antifootball, it is just the same level as other top teams like Chelsea, Arsenal etc.

To play tikitaka, you need 250-270 passes per game from your 3 man midfield. That is an average of 3 passes every minute.

It used to be:

Xavi - 100 passes
Busquets - 80-90 passes
Iniesta - 60-70 passes

For Spain, it needed to be uber tikitaka as Spain did not have killer strikers like Messi, so the best way to protect themselves was to ensure they don't lose the ball. That's why Xabi Alonso was added to increase the possession football even further. The 3 man midfield was:

Alonso - 100 passes
Busquets - 90 passes
Xavi - 100 passes

Now you have a situation where Iniesta has dropped deeper to reprise the Xavi role, but his ppg stays at 60 passes, even dropping to 50 passes this season.

So you have:

Busquets - 80 passes (even dropping these days to 60 or 70)
Iniesta - 60 passes (even dropping to 50)
Rakitic - 60 passes

How do you expect to play tikitaka out of that? Even if Enrique allowed them to play full tikitaka, those 3 cannot produce much more than 200 passes between them.

The truth is Enrique does not have the raw materials to reprise the old tikitaka. Playing to the so called strength of your skipper is non-existent because your skipper does not, and has never had the tikitaka strength you think he has.

Unless you get a tikitaka specialist like Thiago back, you are better off continuing with a more counterattacking style. That is the same job Modric and Kroos are being asked to do at Madrid to capitalise on the speed of BBC, and they are not complaining about it.

Iniesta(The greatest attacking midfielder since zizou)is good at passing, retaining possession, creating spaces for his team mates to exploit. Until a reputable analyst says otherwise, we won't quote the words of a bias nairalander. Meanwhile, busquests has been called useless on numerous occasions on this forum, hope you haven't endorsed such statements before now?
Look man, it's a simple question and you keep parambulating round the bush.

What is the strength of your skipper that you want the team to be built around?

If it is retaining possession ie tikitaka football, show me one laliga season where he has ever averaged 100 passes per game. OK make it 90, OK make it 80.

You are living in dreamworld thinking he can control tikitaka. Those asked to control that style of football like Alonso and Xavi make 100 passes per game, and Iniesta is a 70 man at best.

Even Busquets can do and has done seasons with 90 passes.

I see you are another hype merchant who doesn't know or understand the football he is watching.

Tell me which strength of your skippers that the coach should set his team up to exploit. You want him to build tikitaka around a 70 passes man? You better go and beg Thiago to come back if that is what you want. Your skipper has no strength to build upon.

Busquests was never good enough, xavi covered him all those years, iniesta is a carry along, leaving xavi as the only person at the middle of the pitch, make up your mind or go home
Busquets is great at possession football as well as Xavi. Iniesta is not. The passing stats don't lie.

So what exactly is your skippers strength that you want to play to?

Look up to Iniesta? How can Iniesta rescue anyone?

Will he score Or assists??
Can he create clear cut chances??

I don't understand
Rafinha came on and showed how midfield is supposed to help the attack.

Of course they would forget this is the 100th big game Iniesta has contributed zilch. This is what happens when you have a Messi to bail you out, no one notices that you don't actually perform most of the time.

You play to your skipper's strength, not his weakness.
What is your skippers strength exactly? Which has he ever averaged 100 passes per game like Xavi? Even at the height of tikitaka, his average was around 70 at best.

So what exactly is this strength that you want to play to? Can you squeeze blood out of a stone?
