Matuidi is good at what he does. Just dont compare him in style to players who are completely different. It shows poor understanding of footie.

Matuidi should be compared in style to Sissoko and Ramires, not Kante.

Kante is a CM, the others are incapable of playing there effectively.

Dont compare him to genuine central midfielders unless you have poor understanding of what midfield play is about. A midfielders primary function is control and protection of the ball in tight spaces and preservation of possession.

Matuidi cannot do that. Kante can.

Its just like people calling for Newcastle Sissoko for Chelsea pivot not knowing he is a runner who is extremely uncomfortable to receive the ball with players around him in a packed midfield. What qualifies Sissoko to play in a pivot? How Sway How?
