There is a pre-game interview on BBC with Mikel where he lets out a little bit of what happened.
Watch it if you can find it, you will probably understand.
Mikel basically said JM ignored him all the time.

Wouldnt you ignore a nigga who is being forced on you because his patron is running the transfers, and who you have no plans for? When you have been told you are not wanted every summer yet you hang around like a bad smell and a curse to the managers plans of recruiting in your position?

I would rather listen to Fab4, Terry, Azpi and co who were hailing up JM on his departure rather than a useless nigga like Mikel who is just here to collect with the help of his brother.

The youth players reacted angrily to the signing of Matt...

Josi quintero and Kasey Palmer are youth players, they left a comment on the official IG page about the signing by tagging the best defender in the team- Jack Salter with that Emoji. ...

They should chill
The players dont believe in Chelseas "sign everyone and loan" policy and dont believe Chelsea has any long term plan for them.

Jake Calker Salter musta been made a lot of verbal promises about the club pinging a lot of hopes on him.

If them dey vex for this signing, you can just imagine the low morale amongst em.

The mistake you're making is using Lampard as the yardstick.
Thats why I told them not to cheapen the skill by mentioning any and any nigga in that category. Griffon was the one that came in when I spoke about Lampards skill in that area to start mentioning random niggas and claiming they all at that level.

I'd be lying if I tell you theres more than 3 or 4 dudes I rate in the same category with Lampard for that. . . .

Everybody has their specific skillset they specialise in. This is not Modric's area to be mentioned in with the elite.

I don't know about that.

But this is the first time I've heard someone say Modric lacks vision and it's extremely surprising and shocking to me.

It's like somebody claiming that the tyres on his car are square, or that the sun is green.
Modric lacks first time vision.

Does he lack vision to find his man in the midfield? No.

90% of the time his pass will find you and you lot can play give I give football. If Im looking for a ninja to control possession in my midfield, Modric is one of the first ninjas I will call.

But he ABSOLUTELY lacks the first time vision to release his man in the final third. This kind of vision is a split second vision to put the man through before the defence can organise themselves. To have this kind of vision, your head must be swivelling on your neck at all times to know where your strikers are even BEFORE you receive the ball. If you pause for a millisecond, it is too late as the defence would block off the striker. Hesitation is fatal and speed of the action is key. Sometimes you cant even afford to trap the ball or the chance may be lost. Modric aint got that. He is no killer.

Lampard and Xavi both played central midfield. Neither was a ten baba. Xavi especially in the Pep years was definitely not a 4. That was Toure\Busquet's job.

Have you decided to replace Coogar as the chief liar on this board? cheesy

Why won't you just answer the question? Simple Yes or No would suffice

Even at Xavi's best (within your chosen timeframe) he posted far less assists than Lampard.Does this make him inferior to Lampard in terms of Vision. Yes or No?
And where do you believe Xavi played?

50% of the time Xavi is the first man to receive the ball from Barca back four, spin the half turn and start the possession game. Xavi can be found in his own half often as much as Toure or Bousquets. Thats why I call him a typical no4 ie deep lying playmaker. Iniesta is the one you can most compare to Lampard positionally.

Meanwhile I want to recommend you for acknowledging that Lampard was never a no10. It just puts his achievements into perspective because he was involved in all aspects of midfield play from defending to attacking and still posted astronomical assists and goals. These days you have lazy no10s whose work only starts in the opposition half and theyll be contributing only 1/3rd of the goals and assists that Lampard was posting. *****Spits on no10s****

Very simple question bro.
Xavi at his best posted great numbers from a deeper position.

I expect Lampard to post the same or less if he played in the no4 position.

Why is it so difficult for you to understand English?

This is just pure b.s

Xavi played 700+ games for Barca and copped only copped 66 league assists. Your lies about Xavi sitting on the bench for Deco are eating you alive. Xavi was regularly making 40+ appearances per season those years and had more appearances than Deco in that time frame! How can you say that Xavi pre-2007 was 'sitting on the bench' when he was made vice captain in 2004? No doubt, Rijkaard wanted to sell Xavi at one point, but to say he was chopping bench regularly?

The reason why you have to tell all these lies is because you know the truth....that if were to focus solely on assist numbers, Xavi will look mediocre.

Hence you're trying all these mental gymnastics.

Assists will never show you the true picture. Rooney has more career assists than Zidane...as do Lampard and Gerrard. Let that sink in!
Xavi of the early years is not the Xavi we talk about. Simples.

In 2005, you dare not mention Xavi and Lampard in the same sentence. Lampard was already World renowned and competing for WPOTY while Xavi was still finding his feet.

Xavi was not assured of his place and wasnt a killer. Im sure quite a few of his appearances back then are off the bench.

When you talk of Barca midfield up till 2007, only Van Bommel and Deco are assured of their shirt. Xavi, Iniesta and the rest of them rotate in and out.

Mikel also posts 30-40 appearances per season for most of his Chelsea career and is by no means an assured nigga.

Im sure Anelka has lot more career goals than Drogba. We cannot compare Drogba pre-2004 with Anelka when weighing up their productivity.

When you talk of Xavi, talk of the Xavi we laud from after 2007.

All that early comparisons dont count here. Even before we started this argument, I already set you the frame of reference for Xavi as 2009-2013 ab initio.

Modric is not to be classed with first time killers. Simples.

You keep missing the point jumping from pillar to post, and digging yourself in to bigger holes.. Lampard has constantly out-assisted Xavi through out thier respective careers. Yet only a complete idiot would even imply that Xavi lacks vision based on assist numbers...or worse still, that Xavi has less 'vision' than Lampard.

Heck even Fab has regularly 'out-assisted' Xavi, yet everybody knows who the real 'Overseer' was at Barca.

Quite simply assist numbers cannot be used to buttress your argument about who has 'vision' and who doesn't. Football is an art as well as a science. Wayne Rooney has more assists than Xavi and Zidane...but we all know has the X-ray vision .

If you watch Modric regularly, you would understand why you are the only one yarning caustic opaks amongst men on this blessed saturday. when hensben is your only supporter, then you should know that water don pass garri.
Youre the one missing the point entirely.

You cant claim to have killer instinct vision and not have assists.

Xavis nos from 2009 to 2013 stack up against Lampards especially from a deep position.

You cant look at Lampards whole career assists and say Xavis doesnt add up.

We compare them in their peak years which is what makes them what they are.

Pre-2007 when Xavi was seeking exit from Barca and sitting on the bench for Deco cannot be counted. By the time Xavi even became assured of his place in Barca team, Lampard was already 2nd in WPOTY and has 80-100 assist head start.

We would not look at Xavis early years anymore than we would judge Riyad Mahrez on his early years in France. The Xavi we know as overseer is the Xavi of the later years.

Modric however is a confirmed unproductive nigga. He has been given first team shirt as an attacking midfielder at Spurs and could not kill. He came to Madrid and often plays further up than Xavi. Still cannot kill. His career record of assists reads 3, 4, 4, 3 etc with only one season where he managed 9 assists. I posted those gifs of Lampard to show how killer first-time vision translates into assists. Modric aint got it!!!

Even if my dad did not pay your school fees, I am quite happy for him to pay for a trip to the opticians for you....because I specifically focused on la liga here:
Can you show me where I mentioned league only?

Do you know that 10 assists in league only is considered a good season?

Do you know that Lampard once won award for highest assister in the league with only 10 assists?

Do you know that Thierry Henry holds the record for league assists with only 19 assists?

Do you know that for a player in Xavis deep position to post 10 league assists is a minor miracle? Much less the 13 he posted in 09/10.

Nihilist:
That being said, even if we use combined stats...Are you genuinely saying that 10\12 assists in all competitions is hallmark of 'Vision'? Are you not an imbecille?
See above. In the position Xavi plays, it is a miracle.

Which is why Fabregas is a VISION GOD for posting 18 assists from the pivot last season.

All this one you are saying is story...

The simple question we posed to you, you are yet to answer.

www.nairaland.com/attachments/3347894_xavi_png2631ee39004e10093a3b265d94b366ed

Xavi Hernandez clearly falls into that category you are talking about. Lampard is 'closing in on 200 career assists', Xavi left Barca with only 66! You can see from the stats above how Xavi only got 'double figure assists' once in la liga between 2009 and 2015

Again very simple question. Is Xavi Visonless? Yes or No?

Thanks for the gifs by the way. Its good to appreciate our legends. But what you've done is the equivalent of driving from Ajah through Epe to Ikeja and Over 3rd mainland bridge just to go to Ikoyi because you know wan pay Lekki Toll Fee.
Nigga your father does not pay me school fees to educate you in simple arithmetic.

I said in Xavis peak years from 2009 to 2013, he is a double figure nigga.

You posted up stats which prove he is a double figure nigga and now asking me stupid arithmetic question.

Xavi posts double figures per season from a deeper position which tells me his vision is spot on.

Are you dense or are you dumb? Do you expect a grown man like me to have to add up the figures you posted to drum it in your head?

Oya lemme add them up. . . . next time, pay your school fees first.

Below is two ninjas in two different categories of vision:

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m): 1:12am On Jan 30, 2016
That's just a sample of some of Lampard's first-time assists. . . which should be more that Modric's whole career assists in the top leagues.

When I talk of first-time vision, I already know what I am saying before I said it.

Some shyt happens too fast for slow niggas to catch. . . they will be busy hailing ineffective touches of the ball that look good.

Lampard's first-time vision belongs in an elite category you don't mention any and any nigga in.

That's why some niggas be closing on 200 career assists and some niggas cannot hit double figures for one season in their life. . . they cannot be compared because they are not effective enough, and do not have the vision of their teammates positions BEFORE they receive the ball to release balls with urgency.

Sorry for blowing una data.
