Coogar has a point, the Chelsea system is not exactly built for strikers to flourish except for an extraordinary striker like Drog.

That is no excuse for Torres flopping though. Torres is lazy and lacks ambition and is only just becoming decent this season. Personally i have no qualms with Lukaku leaving. Having him here doesn't mean he will bang in the goals.

Lukaku has played a sum total of 30 mins so on what basis would an uninformed person claim Lukaku cannot succeed?

Lukaku in AVBs season played a couple of substitute matches in the right wing position and never as no 9.

So his total time in the no9 position amounts to about 30 mins since he signed.

Yet you listen to some uninformed nincompoop who told you the no9 position is cursed at Chelsea.

The only person who cursed the no9 position is the shekpe keeper.

JM made a big mistake on Lukaku issue. His only mitigation is that he does not know Eto real age cos on the face of it, you expect not to have any qualms letting Lukaku gain experience whilst a "32 year old" proven World Class striker leads your line plus the obligatory squad position for Torres. But those of us who knew better could have told JM this is a faulty assumption.

Chelsea are a very stupid club.

Thorgan Hazard is sitting on 8 goals and 8 assists at the top of Belgian league.

Piazon scored three goals and two assists in the last week in Dutch league.

De Bruyne who defeated German league last season has no chance to play because of foolish Willian signing.

Thorgan and Piazon will be coming back in the next season or two to take shirt from who exactly? It's not like any of the six wingers are approaching retirement.

Make space for ninjas to play and be motivated that they have a chance. Ifcompetition is a motivator, lack of opportunity is also a demotivator. How can De Bruyne be motivated in such environment with 4 stars ahead of him plus a £30m man who must naturally get some game time due to the outlay on him.

And another 11 wingers are still queuing up behind, some of them with real talent like Thorgan and Piazon who can conceivably be the 5th or 6th choice wingers in any big club. Yet even De Bruyne is struggling to squeeze himself into the 6th spot. A qualified Belgian international being treated like a YTS player. FFS Serge Gnabry is further along in his career than them when he should be behind Piazon and Thorgan talkless of De Bruyne.

All because of some football nonentity thinking 11 wingers makes a winning team.
