Ritchboy done chop today |
chucky234: Taribo was playing with Auxerre and had a successful spell with Inter Milan, you have to be one of the best around to play for Inter back then.No you don't actually. Inter defence was weak back then. Taribo was competing with Fabio Galante and Francesco Colonnese for shirt, both poor defenders; whilst the other centre back Guissepe Bergomi was old by then and approaching retirement. I did not miss a single Inter game in 97/98 season. It was poor defence that undid Inter that season cos they were a great team. |
mikeansy: Taribo West was not better than Paulo Maldini in any part of the football pitchGbam!! Taribo was a good defender but lacking positional discipline at times. I would not compare him favourably with Chidi Nwanu and Uche Okechukwu talkless of Maldini. |
Top of the league! Top of the league! Thunder fire band boys!!! |
sephia: Lackluster, drab, lack of coordination and yet an exciting, master assist player doesn't make the bench yet the old hag - Essien makes the bench and the waste pipe wearing the number 12 jersey starts. Pathetic!Who be the wastepipe no12 abeg? Thunder fire you Bluediva!!! ![]() The guy just score!!! First Chelsea goal in 259 games. Is today April fool's day? Chelsea fans are singing "he scores when he wants, he scores when he wants, John Obi Mikel, he scores when he wants!!!!" BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! |
dayokanu: Omo Ibo Mechionu giYou done begin dey sing already? Match never finish now. lol. |
I just started watching the match now. Wetin dey happen? That was a penalty!!! |
FBS: Why not just sell the guy then instead trying to change his game? If he destroys Mata like he did to Mikel, it wont go down well with anyone.lol. You still dey on Mikel issue? Mikel was a decent DM when we played low blocks, he only becomes incompetent when you play high blocks. Mikels conversion was the best thing for him and the only reason he is not playing in Turkish league right now. Attacking midfielders are judged by their numbers and given Mikels lack of killer instinct, he would have come under pressure from a more productive AM a long time ago. In an era where no4s are the first man to receive the ball from the defence, Mikel has been able to specialise in that and secure himself some long term contracts and solidify his financial future. When tactics change to high blocks is when we start criticising Mikels sluggishness. Regarding Mata, I believe PSG made a £40m deadline day bid. Jose woulda sold. |
Well thanks to the 1 jillion playmakers you have playing 4-3-3 is a chore Sneijder was not a workaholic my guy! Certainly not at Madrid and neither at Inter Cambiasso,Motta were always there to destroy for him Ability to drop deep and quarterback they might have but who says Mata isn't adaptable to that style especially when Chelsea have no player that consistently plays that role in central midfield? To be honest the difference between Ozil and Mata in terms of workrate is quite minimal. There is a reason he is not at Madrid anymore! Even Ancellotti pointed it out
I'm an Ajax fan dawg. Sneijder is a workaholic. He was at Inter but not at Real where he was said to be suffering depression. Ozil was not liked by JM either, yet he improved under JM physically. Mata will never be able to drop deep and quarterback. I've always been a fan of possession starting from the no4, not from the playmaker. Thats why I call Xavi the greatest player of his generation and greatest midfielder of all time. The central midfielders really run a team, the wingers are only there to unlock a tight game with a piece of skill as far as im concerned but some eediots at Chelsea seem to think dominating football matches starts with the wingers/AMs. There was a time we prayed for Chelsea to sign just one winger from 2006 to 2011. Now we have a whole team of them. |
coogar: get 2 disciplined holders in the pivot like spain does with alonso/busquets in the last euro 2012 & let the craftsmen do their magic. .I see where you're going but Alonso Busquets are not Mikel Ramires, Xavi and Iniesta are both genuine midfielders and Silva is the only passenger. Chelsea will often field 3 passengers at same time. |
There's no rule that says he must even use Mata but the lack of workrate is not a valid excuse IMO. Deco,Sneijder and Ozil are hardly workaholics on the pitch
Deco and Sneijder are 4-3-3 players. They can control ball from deep. Mata is not a factor in the game till the final third. Big difference there. And Sneijder was a workaholic till his recent fitness problems. Ozil as Dayo would tell you had to undergo a lot of physical work in the last two years. Mata is physically where Ozil was three years ago. And even then, he bought Modric to sideline Ozil but Modric flopped in the first year. If Jose has two Moussa Dembeles in his midfield, he would not be talking of dropping Mata. Simples. This is not a new phenomenon. RDMs UCL run, Mata does not last more than 60 mins on the pitch. Salomon Kalou was more important to victory. |
coogar: why can't jose let the 4 rotating forwards do the attacking bit of it & let the back six worry about the defence. one of the wing backs can support the attack on occassion and that's 5 in attack, 5 in defence. doing that would free up mata & he won't be tasked with chasing opponents into chelsea's box. This is the simplified view thats been making the rounds on these pages for the last two years, and a nursery school interpretation of team balance, one shared by Chelsea execs. November last year it was easy. Just play Mikel and Ramires in the pivot and let the MaZaCars attack they said. The result was disgrace at Shakhtar and Juve and numerous others. I would love to be the coach facing this Chelsea team. It would be so easy to exploit and beat them. |
I've got no problem with Mourinhos comment at all. Left to me, I will pick two midfield generals to guard Mata and one strong winger on his side, then make him the central focus of my team and my chief playmaker. If I don't have that, I will drop him. Simple. |
FBS: Oscar is my No. 10. Mata will have to adapt and change his game.- JMMata is the new Joe Cole! "He has a lot to learn. I think he has two faces - one beautiful and one I don't like. He must keep one and change the other one." "Joe Cole scored a goal which was very important. He played really well in terms of attacking dynamism. When he scored the goal the game finished for him. After that I needed 11 players for my defensive organisation and I had just 10." "Joe can be a regular but he has to improve when the team needs him to be part of a defensive organisation." |
debosky: I have a question for you Ibime: Is there ANY loss that you wouldn't blame on Emenalo? I ask because you were counting almost all of Benitez' losses as caused by Emenalo (similar to what you did for RdM).I count Benitez losses to show that poor team composition was the issue. I always reiterated that since Rafa is facing the same issues as RDM, there is only one culprit. 11 wingers in 18 months!! And some nincompoops wanna give ownership of şuch transfer policy to 3 different managers despite the obvious evidence that this is a mad technical directors repeated insanity on display. |
I think Taribo meant to say he was "older" than Maldini but he got misquoted. Pesin wey no better pass Uche Okechukwu dey claim to be Maldini oga. No wonder him dey jump like confused fowl when Laudrup brothers and Ebbe Sand knack am four goals during France 1998. |
afrodoc: however it is unusual when a team keeps buying attacking players of the same ilk and neglects(in my view) the defence. this is where i feel Ibime's pain (not rily i aint a chelsea fanWell spoken. But when QPR, Reading, West Ham, Newcastle, Southampton and Basle start to knack you akpako, you will understand why teams like Arsenal never win the league. You can't achieve consistency with obvious weaknesses. Games you should only lose 5% of the time turn to 15%. Now watch the difference between a Chelsea fans experience and a Manure fans experience. Swap Van Persie and Rooney for Torres, and watch some of those 3-2 wins turn to 2-1 defeats, you will certainly feel the pain of imbalance. Remove hard working wingers like Valencia, Young and Nani and replace them with Mata and Hazard, you will feel Carrick's leglessness more acutely. You will start jumping from the roof. Then replace sensible management with Emenalo who will refuse to countenance or prioritise bids for Fellaini and Herrera like United did this summer, and you will want to kill someone when your midfield is overrun for the umpteenth time on a Saturday. That's the difference between a Chelsea fans experience and a Manure fans. Add in 11 wingers signed by an eediot in one year and Carrick and Cleverley are still your only midfield options, you done enter one chance be that!!! |
sleakid: its combined, he takes 1 bar, I take d next bar, until we completed d verse and tanks for the compliment..Well done, well done. Una try. Very witty stuff. I was laughing ma head off. |
coogar: EMENALOBusy spreading lies are we? When AVB was sacked, Emenalo immediately recommended Benitez for the job and claimed Benitez was his ideal coach but fan protest in the next game persuaded the board to go with RDM. Stop typing crap about a club you know nothing about. Even quoting an inane article which lauds Marko Marin as a great signing? GTFOH. The simple question is how did Emenalo spend close to 300 mills only to leave the team performing worse than normal. This is a team that went from 2006 to 2011 with almost zero investment yet performed more consistently than a team Emenalo spent hundreds of millions on. Nigga busy signing 11 wingers in 18 months and claiming he's technically directing. Technical Director of Wingers!!! |
coogar: this does not in anyway tell us that emenalo pulls the string at chelsea. emenalo was there when chelsea won the double in 2010, he was there when chelsea won in elite europe in 2012 & when they won europa last season.....Emenalo was there doing what? Scratching his arse, snitching on Ancelotti who considered him an overpromoted lackey and sidelined him for Steve Holland, briefing against RDM and fighting Benitez in board meeting over signing a DM. And some eediot would wanna credit the fool with RDMs achievements in 2012. Better luck trying to credit Arnesen with Jose's title in 2006. Emenalo has done nothing but spend close to £300m and leaving the team performing worse than when he found it. List of Emenalos scouted signings in the last 18 months since January 2012: Christian Atsu, Ulyses Davila, Eden Hazard, Thorgan Hazard, Oscar, Willian, Schurrle, Victor Moses, Marko Marin, Kevin De Bruyne, Van Ginkel, Azpilicueta and Demba Ba (after much complaining by Benitez) Others he's been scouting heavy: Taison, Bruma, Isco, Bernard and that attacking midfielder from Hajduk Split abi Partizan Belgrade (who he's signed for reported £12m) 13 signings, the only non AM of which is Azpilicueta and Demba Ba who was a Benitez prompting. Nigga must be trying to build a team of wingers. Even all his transfer targets are wingers. When was the last time you opened newspaper to see Chelsea linked with a central defensive midfielder? Never during RDM and Benitez tenure. The first time a central midfielder was rumoured to be linked with Chelsea was when Jose came and we heard of maybe Kondogbia and De Rossi possibly linked. A myopic individual spend his whole time scouting wingers, then goes and buys 11 of them within 18 months to join Mata and Lucas Piazon already at the club. A whole team of wingers signed in one year! Abi he dey send them to go sell Akara? And he calls himself a technical director? He should change his job title to "winger scout"!! 11 AMs/wingers in one year? Add in the failed court arbitration for Bruma, na 12 wingers this dude for sign, with one rIght back of his own prompting. Unchecked insanity and repeated myopia!!! |
coogar: ibime is a toad....Am sure you missed this:
www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/chelseas-jose-mourinho-hints-style-2285920 Mourinho's diagnosis of Chelsea's malaise http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2914/champions-league/2013/09/20/4275413/chelseas-attacking-ambitions-frustrating-mourinho RA's wishes and Mourinho's style of play are strange bedfellows in my eyes. If results don't change soon Mourinho might actually drop the expansive attacking football act afterall we all know he would not play that way against superior opposition anyway. You don't change your game in the 9th inning
|
sleakid: TAG TEAM BATTLE by SLEAKID AND KASTIEL as HITLERSDis is real good. I must say I'm impressed. Who rapped which part? |
mikuz: .HAHAHAHAHA. LWBMB! |
What do these clowns expect Jose to say? I don't have faith in the players and I have philosophical differences with my new employers? Is he Paulo Di Canio? Why is he going out of his way to claim ownership if people are not raising doubts like a bad movie they've seen before? He's taking one for the team which is part of his job description - stay on message. Watch how these clowns start quoting prematch press conferences as Jose's word. Is it not same Jose that told us managers lie they are happy with their squad all the time? These folks confusing duty to his employers to a managers philosophy. The only philosophy we've seen in action in the last two years is the same regardless of manager. Thats how they were trying to use RDMs quotes to rope him in with Emenalos failure until the truth started coming out. Anyone that confuse Jose doing his job for his employers with his philosophy is a downright eediot. The same Jose who told us he signed Shevchenko to appease his employer? Meanwhile my wife was admitting him to hospital for 3 days due to migraines over Arnesen and RA issue with Sheva and Boulahrouz.. These ninjas are waste of motherfuccking time!!! ![]() |
El Guapo: Nna mehn. . . . this dude is a waste of your motherfucking time ninja!! ![]() |
So he is now claiming they are balanced and good enough? Hahaha! The first man to criticise Ramires and Lampard every game, first man to tell us in pre-season that Essien is now finished, first man to scream for Luiz to be drafted into midfield. . . . and he wants to tell us he doesn't think they are not good enough? He must be talking of Chalobah and Ake as the ones who are good enough. Ninja playing with grammar too much whilst his every post tells us different. Words of wisdom are now etched in marble. Two seasons spent arguing with me out of foolish pride when he actually thinks the current midfield is not good enough. You a waste of my motherfucking time nigga. . . . and a waste of your mother's forking time nigga! |
You can tell how desperate this sad little orphan is getting with the way he quotes grammar. Now he wants to differentiate between steel, balance and "good enough" to paint me in a contradictory light. Whose been saying for two years the midfield is not good enough. ME Whose been calling for new midfield to replace them every transfer window? ME! Whose been blaming Emenalo for not doing so? ME! Whose been claiming the midfield is good enough? Nateevs Whose been blaming poor coaching rather than players given to the coach? Nateevs Whose been claiming Chelsea doesnt need new midfield? Nateevs! Now check what he really thinks about the current midfield whilst quoting someone else: nateevs: Ritchboy: Mikel/Essien/Ramires/Lampard/MVG is enough bodies in midfield to balance a 25-man squad, the question is 'are they good enough?'. (Words of wisdom by the way)Nateevs, go and find some puny. After two years he has come back to agree to WORDS OF WISDOM that "they are not good enough". And BTW, the competent Emenalo is too myopic to see these words of wisdom that foolish Ibime spotted two years ago? |
Nincompoops still speaking grammar and laughing at themselves. We all know what we are talking about which is replacement of our central midfield whilst disgraced shekpe lovers keep asking for more attacking midfielders. Since when would a Shekpe lover, Lampard and DD hater, Sturridge persecutor, ninny promoter, AVB and Scolari lover (summary = nincompoop) be taken seriously in any footie matter. |
ritchboy: Mikel/Essien/Ramires/Lampard/MVG is enough bodies in midfield to balance a 25-man squad, the question is 'are they good enough?'.We are all saying the same thing. Central midfield is not good enough. Period. |
El Guapo: Finding balance is an incremental thing. Other clubs are pinpointing their deficiencies and correcting them due to competent people in charge yet someone is asking why we are questioning a dude at our club with proven midfield myopia. Balancing squad is a "moving target" but Emenalo is stuck on "repeated myopia" while others are "moving". |
You can see his desperation getting more pronounced. My grammar is very clear to understand. He's just clutching at straws. nateevs: In one argument, Jose is happily keeping 6AMs, in another Emenalo the Emperor put a gun to his head.He claimed RDM had no gun to his head. Then Benitez came and told us all he has a gun to his head, he started blaming Mike Forde and Eugene Tennenbaum. Anything not to lose his argument. Why is he always looking for alibi for Emenalo? Must RDM, Benitez and JM be roped in to justify Emenalo's philosophy everytime? Every year, he must pin it on the manager otherwise he loses his argument. Having already conceded that Jose made silly compromises for political expediency by agreeing to all of Emenalo's targets, I asked this dude a simple question: "Is Chelsea still losing because we don't have enough attacking midfielders" as the nincompoop claimed last season, and as Emenalo obviously believes? Three managers with three different philosophies have been on ground since this argument started, yet the ONLY philosophy we have seen on ground is Emenalo's ninny philosophy and total vacation of the midfield. And the result is abject failure. This is Nateevs' philosophy in action. This is Emenalo's philosophy in action. Complete failure for two years. But he won't concede this. It must be the manager's fault, otherwise he has to come back and apologise for what he said about RDM. That's why I told the eediot not to quote my post on here again. This is the last time I will address the fool on here. Mr "I did not support Torres against Sturridge". A pathological liar with no sense of honesty. Everyone knows it, everyone acknowledges it, but pompous Nateevs does not want to be seen losing an argument: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2425912/Chelsea--cracking-Sportsmail-investigates.html How do they play said Jamie Redknapp on Sky Sports summing up Chelsea's problem that a recruitment policy driven at an executive level is presenting the manager with an unbalanced squad. Rafa Benitez noted this but his interim role gave him no real voice. Mourinho is encountering the same after a summer trading failed to address clear weaknesses. . . . Chelsea did not land a forceful central midfielder although Van Ginkel may one day be one. . . . El Guapo: If Ibime could spot imbalances of some sort in the team far long and his outcry is vindicted by the results we've had in the past seasons, then our seasonal flaws has got nothing to do with the gaffers hired but the spotted imbalances that havent been given attention. That's all I want the dude to concede. My argument has been consistent for 2 years, not blaming RDM, Benitez, Jose, Mike Forde or Financial Fair Play. When will dude at least concede Emenalo's philosophy is flawed. Instead he's always looking for successive managers to rope in as Emenalo's alibi in failure. |
Who said you need steel to beat Basle? FBS has already said it yet this fool and his eediot sidekick keep ranting the same thing: FBS: @nateevs, I think what he is saying is this : The team is not playing the "proper" way due to the imbalances in the team and that even if masked against some opponents (quality of opposition regardless) it will show over time and that is what we are experiencing now.You don't need steel to beat Reading, Basle, West Ham etc but you can lose in the way we lost; and concede in the way we conceded with the kind of inbalances you have. Is Reading better than Basle? Mscheew! Arsenal does not need steel to beat Tottenham but same lack of steel may see them lose to Bradford, Birmingham or Aston Villa. Barca does not need steel to beat Milan but same lack of steel may see them thumped 7-0 by Bayern Munich. And any eediot putting mouth, I've already said Jose is too blame for going along with the philiosophy that Emenalo and Nateevs believe in. We're not arguing about Jose here, we've already accepted his culpability. I've been saying all summer that he should strengthen his midfield instead of going along with the program of Willians and co. Now lemme recap a year in the life of a nincompoop for those who don't know what we're talking about: Summer 2012: Ibime claims the midfield is dangerously light both in terms of keeping possession and protecting MaZaCars. Nateevs says its a lie. Becomes the argument of the summer transfer window. Early last season: Team starts conceding goals, Nateevs points fingers at Lampard. "There would be no problem if Ramires and Mikel play there" Mikel and Ramires get drafted in and team falls apart even more. Goals are conceded like water until RDM is eventually sacked. Ibime says Emenalo is to blame as technical Director and because RDM had no say and was not offered the job for two months whilst Emenalo was busy planning tactics and transfers. Nateevs says RDM cannot organise a team and is a poor coach: nateevs: I also stand by saying Mikel and Ramires worked and I am not stating, whether now or ever, that it didn't work. What RDM was, was a noob at organizing the defense. And RDM could not instruct Mikel and Ramires to sit deep. RDM could not drop David Luiz and played him game after game. RDM could not even teach him how not to defend, let alone how to defend. In a 4-2-3-1, there are 6 players defending, we should not concede goals like we did under RDM. So instead of blaming the partnership of Mikel/Ramires, Emenalo and the moon, I blame RDM who didn't know jack about organizing a defenseThe fool later went on to claim: "Chelsea is losing because we don't have enough MaZaCars". He saw no problem with the midfield and wanted more AMs and more ninnies. I asked the nincompoop, if these problems continue under Benitez, will you agree that Emenalo built a squad with the wrong balance and absolve RDM of blame? Same problems continued with Benitez - West Ham, Southampton, Reading, Newcastle - you name it! Since then the nincompoop spend all his time castigating Ramires, castigating Lampard - yet maintaining Emenalo built a good midfield. Who exactly is this good midfield when all you do is castigate the midfield? Again, the dude blamed poor coaching. FAST FORWARD . . . . . . Jose comes in and follows the same philosophy of Emenalo and Nateevs that "Chelsea is losing because we don't have enough MaZaCars". Just recently, the nincompoop was trumpeting this fact: "How come Jose does not see the lack of balance in midfield. This proves there is no inbalance" Now all of a sudden, Jose is a poor coach being castigated in the same way he blamed RDM and Benitez of poor coaching simply because he did not want to admit losing the "midfield balance" argument. Now it's Jose's turn to cop the flack: nateevs: A team must have an identity. A method of attack. There must be relationship and understanding in transition from defence to attack. It must be engineered, it must be coached and most importantly, it has to be built around your best players. If I had time, I would post the one he said about Benitez. All I want from this dishonest weasel is an admission that Emenalo got the midfield wrong and acceptance that RDM was hamstrung by that. Afterall, Benitez and Jose cannot be struggling with the same midfield, and the nincompoop still maintain what he said about RDM. RDM and Benitez can't organise a defence, Jose can't organise an attack. . . . all because Emenalo can't plan a midfield. Successive managers with serious achievements behind them being questioned for the planning of a girl's scout manager. If he gets desperate now and it's starting to look like Emenalo's philosophies can be blamed, he might start pointing finger at Mike Forde, Eugene Tennenbaum, UEFA rules on homegrown players or even FFP as we have seen him do in the past. |
