Some of u will soon be joining ur bros in Bayelsa, u are constituting nuisance.

As for Opuobu and Ubani, nobody is going there, they were already there. Soon they will realise the gold mine of their land, develop it and enjoy the patronage of the entire SE, idoma and Igala, NC.

You guys always change the narratives to suit your evil desires. Those names you corrupted to sound "Iboish" are rather "Ijoid ": Opobo ( name gotten from the Ijaw name - "Opubo" and not Opuobu) and Ibani (Original name for the Bonnys and not Ubani as you falsely claim). These people existed before the advent of the slave trade and their interactiions with the Ibos.

keep quiet, there are part of Ndoni in that LGA..

You just exhibited your ignorance to the high heavens! Let me educate you on what you dont know. Ndoni is on the fringes of northern Rivers State, close to the Egbema axis of both Rivers and Imo States and also neighbouring Anambra state by the River Niger. Ogu Bolo, on the other hand, is in the southern fringes of Rivers State with no proximity to Imo or Anambra States but closer to the Atlantic Ocean and the Ogonnis.

Please, say what you know. Maybe you are mixing up two different places: Andoni is different from Ndoni, though both are in Rivers State. Andoni is in the south-eastern parts of the State and is closer to Ogu Bolo than Ndoni.

Politics / OPEN LETTER TO Rt. Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi By Magnus Abe by ibitzbarlow(m): 8:13pm On Sep 26, 2018
Dear sir,
Many compliments. I know that in the course of our disagreement I have not had any chance to speak with you and I choose to do so now in the light of the many allegations you made against me in the presence of the National Chairman our party Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, Alhaji Farouk Aliyu, a valuable friend and colleague His Excellency Alhaji Wammako, former Governor of Sokoto State, and Hon. Braimah Chief of Staff to the National Chairman.

Under normal circumstances my response would have been copied and delivered only to these four persons who were present at the meeting when the allegations were made, but unfortunately the allegations you made at the meeting are now been shared and posted as facts all over the media even when I was not given any opportunity to respond to them at the meeting. This goes to the root of fair hearing and I feel I should be heard.

A lot of what you said was nothing but purposeful slander. Since you released these information to the press I have no option than to make my response to the public.

Let me say that I am pained beyond measure in taking this decision but having yourself brought these issues before the public you leave me with no choice. I will constrain myself only to the issues you raised. However, should any more issues about my character be raised in the public space I will respond in like manner.

Sir, before I proceed let me repeat what I said at the meeting which were:

1. That I remain grateful to you for every support and act of friendship that you have shown towards me and my family.

2. That I did not and will not betray you in any way. My decision to run for Governor of our state , a position to which you are not aspiring and cannot aspire does not constitute a stab in the heart.

3. That in the course of our disagreement I have tried not to respond to all the public things that you have said about me or to show you disrespect. If however I have done so inadvertently in any way I am sorry, and I apologize.

4. Throughout our relationship I have also done my best to add value to your life and your politics in any way I reasonably could and I will continue to do so.

5. The party should decide how best to properly conduct a primary election in which I as a member of the party can stand a fair chance since you as the leader of the party in the state has chosen to work openly against me. Let me assure everyone that if that is done and a candidate emerges I will file behind the candidate of the party, and contribute my own quota.

6. In your response rather than deal with these issues you made the following allegations which in my humble opinion were totally irrelevant to the purpose of the meeting and intended only to tarnish my reputation. I will list the allegations and respond to them seriatim.

7. In responding to these allegations I will not introduce any new issues neither will I try to defend myself anymore than necessary because even if every thing you have said is true, it still does not answer the question that was at the heart of that meeting which is why I cannot be allowed to participate freely in the primaries of our party.

8. Let me now go to the issues as raised by you.

9. You said that I arranged for my associates to write a petition against you and your wife to the British Police. My response is that not only is this allegation against me false but you know it to be false. You had earlier told Governors Lalong and Bello that I , Magnus Abe wrote the petition against you to the British Police, so your modification of your earlier allegation to now say it was my associates is an acknowledgment that your earlier position is unsustainable. I have never and will never go that far whatever may be our issues, not just against you but against any other politician, neither will I allow anyone else to do it. If you have any evidence to the contrary please bring it forward and I will withdraw from the race.

10. You said I was not elected by the minority party in the house of assembly but rather Dr Odili asked you to go and choose your team and you chose me as Minority Leader and imposed me on the house. That is not true. I was elected as Minority Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly by the minority caucus at the home of Chief Ebenezer Isokariari, our Governorship candidate in the presence of Prince Emma Anyanwu. Those who contested against me were Hon. Ben Horsefall, Hon Adokiye Oruwari, and Hon John Bazia. Luckily all these actors are still alive and you have their phone numbers for ease of reference. The PDP position which you referred to is of course false to your knowledge, because no one ran against me on the floor of the assembly as the records will show.

11. You said I did not win elections in Gokana, and that Chief Victor Giadom brought out a gun and stuck it to the head of the Electoral Officer and threatened to kill him before results were changed in my favour. This is laughable, the name of the E.O and his phone number is available you can call him to ask if any such incident ever took place. The issue in the Gokana election was that party leaders in some wards who promised the Youth Corpers refreshments deliberately refused to keep their word to the personnel even when they had the means to do so. In anger and frustration a lot of the corpers started changing results or mutilating results in favour of PDP chieftains who came to take advantage of the widespread anger among the electoral personnel. Even then the action was not significant and could not have affected the ultimate outcome.Yes Chief Giadom got there and called my attention to what was going on. This was the call for which I thanked Chief Giadom. It had nothing to do with guns and before he called me several people had already called my attention to this deliberate sabotage by some of our party leaders. It is not surprising that these are the same persons that are opposed to me today.

12. You said I am a serial betrayer and I betrayed Chinwe Aguma, our late Attorney- General who was buried just a week previous to this meeting, and you also cited the case of someone standing trial for what happened during my elections that has been abandoned by me. Both stories are also false to your knowledge. For one the trial relates to an incident that occurred in Port Harcourt outside my senatorial district and it is not election related. For the other I was shocked that you could drag the name and memory of a friend who just so recently passed away into the midst of our party politics. However you said they should ask Igo Aguma his younger brother who is with you and who told you that I betrayed Late Chinwe. I will supply the phone number of Hon Igo Aguma for anyone to call him and ask Igo to give the details and particulars of this betrayal for public consumption. Till that happens I will respect the memory of my late friend and hold my peace. Chinwe was never a pretender, and no one could have used him to settle their personal political score if he was alive.

13. You said I deceived you into appointing Mr. Derek Mene as Executive Director in NDDC. I did not deceive you. I merely reminded you of the promise you made to me that in the event of an APC victory in 2015 that my interest in the national government will be placed above every other interest in Rivers state including your own interest. That clearly has not been the case. It was when I reminded you of that promise that you conceded to the appointment of Mr. Mene. I do not see how making an effort to keep a promise you made voluntarily and without preconditions can be said to be deceit.

14. You said I am working with Governor Nyesom Wike against the party and you mentioned two things to buttress your allegation. First, you said that when people went to court to protest against the High Court ruling in the case filed by disenfranchised party members in Rivers state, Governor Wike brought the Judge to the court in his car and stood behind the judge while the ruling was delivered. You quoted two senior police officers as your witnesses.
This of course is a lie.

15. You also said that Hon. Mpigi told you that Governor Wike gave me 34 million naira for my thanksgiving. This also is a lie from the pit of hell. I invited Governor Wike to my thanksgiving service for two reasons, one was because you chose to host a parallel event against me on the same day and second because I am Anglican and my Archbishop who was to preside at the service called me and asked me in the name of God to forgive the Governor and invite him. Wike did not give me a Kobo to host the event and I have never received 34 million naira from Wike. I am convinced that even at the time you were saying that, you knew that was not true. Governor Wike did not give you any money to host the Free Rivers event in Bori the headquarters of Ogoniland on the day I was holding my thanksgiving, neither did Wike take the decision to disenfranchise party members and refuse nomination forms to party members who paid money to the party to contest for positions in the congresses. To continually drag Wike’s name to the crisis created by deliberate acts of injustice to others, is nothing but a cheap smear campaign. It will surely fail.

16. I was particularly sad when you told the National Chairman that I cornered all NDDC contracts in Rivers state. All contracts in NDDC are approved by the MD who is your friend. I have not cornered any contract at all from the Commission. It is on record that simple courtesies and favours extended to Niger Delta Senators including PDP Senators are not extended to me. The only issue you have with the NDDC is the fact that Mr Mene refused to lead the campaign against me in Ogoniland despite all threats and intimidation including the threat to hand him over to the EFCC.

17. You said I deceived you into sacking Mrs Ibim Seminitari so I could appoint Mr Mene. This is of course a chronological impossibility. I was one of the defenders of Mrs Seminatari even in our meetings and the issue of Mr Mene did not come up until the new board was to be set up. In other words Mrs Seminitari was sacked by the decision to set up a new board.

18. You said I am only a friend to power and I only followed you because you were powerful. Time will tell, because it is in the nature of power to move. So one day we will either leave power or power will leave us, then we will know those who follow us because we have power. When we started our political journey you did not have the power you have today. I can still remember several times when it was just me and you together during your battle to be Governor, and even more so when you we were fighting the power of Jonathan. If I was only a friend to power as you claim today, I would have moved on long ago. I have tried to live by some rules that is why I have decided to contest for the Governorship of our state even under this very difficult circumstances and against your stated decision.

19. You said Chief Victor Giadom told you that I did not support you when you were the court fighting for your mandate and you named some Ogoni leaders as those who came to tell you that the Ogoni people are not with me. I will refrain from mentioning their names here but you may make their names public if indeed they told you so. Please believe whatever is convenient for you today. It will not change anything.

20. Finally, I have tried to go over everything you said about me including the fact that if the story of my life is in ten chapters, you will occupy six of it. My challenge is that even if you said is true, I still cannot find the stab in the heart to which you kept making reference that necessitated this bitter war in the party. The only thing I can find is the fact that I insisted on my right to contest for the ticket of our party against your stated desire. In my humble opinion, that action does not constitute a stab in the heart of any true democratic leader.

I remain yours faithfully,
Magnus Abe.

Religion / Re: It’s An Abomination To Call Your Husband By His Name Or Pet Name - Pastor Says by ibitzbarlow(m): 8:37am On May 06, 2018
omohayek:
Here we are in 2018, and in Nigeria we still have promoters of ignorance like this pastor charlatan, preaching retrograde nonsense about wives treating their husbands like masters or slave-owners, instead of regarding marriage as a union of equals. Of course, numerous idi.ots come out of the woodwork to cheer on the self-promoting religious fraudster instead of laughing him off the stage as he deserves.

Let me make myself clear: if you think it right that a woman should be cravenly subservient to her husband because some magical "holy" book says so, then either you have no sisters or daughters of your own to make you realize they are human beings just like yourself, with the same rights, or you are an amoral monster obsessed whose fragile self-esteem demands male domination, in which case all the Bible-quoting and church-quoting means nothing at all, and is merely for show. A wife should not be a personal servant or a slave who only lives to cater to a man's needs and desires.

It is a pity that we are wont to criticize everything. If you had read the Pastor's message completely, you would have understood the following:
1. The message is for a particular audience - Practicing Christians. It is not for you if you dont believe in the Bible. From your response, I guess you are not his audience, so you have no right or understanding to criticize what you dont know/ understand.
2. The pastor never advocated for a Master - servant relationship in marriage. He only advised that wives treating their husbands like Kings, makes them treated as Queens in return. Is a Queen a servant in her household? No. There is no Queen without a King. The man, the Bible says, is the head of the family.
3. The pastor also pointed out that man and woman are equals in the Bible unlike a husband and wife. It is common knowledge that in a union of equals, there would still be a head. Take the world stage as an example: even in the committee of heads of states, there is a head/Chair e.g CHOGM.
4. The Pastor stated that respect is sacrificial in Christendom and not reciprocal as is expected in the society. While advising wives to respect their husbands ( even more than they do Pastors), he admonished that though respect should be offered sacrificially, it usually breeds reciprocity from the husband. A wife being respectful and not subservient to the husband is good for a successful Christian marriage. Remember, Christianity is all about SACRIFICE, starting from the greatest of all- Jesus Christ's sacrifice for us on the cross of calvary.
5. Unlike you, the Pastor did not abuse/ insult anyone, not even those with dissenting opinions/voices. Please do take a cue from him. We need to make this world a better and more peaceful place for all.

Thanks and Shalom..

The difference is, the men that wore the tight boxers have white skin, while the other guy in free boxer is black skinned.
There people that needs tight boxers are white because of their prevailing cold weather, while the black needs the free boxer because of the heat in their region.
pls my reasons o. give yours, don't be abusive. kids in the house take note.

You are not far from the truth. Those in cold regions need heat and so tight boxers may just be right for them. However, those boxers are so designed and made from non-nylon, soft and comfortable fabrics that they do not actually retain much heat ( the quality ones with boxer/open legs).

Peeps in the tropics, who do not have to trek long distances, do physically exerting jobs, probably work in air- conditioned offices and drive air- conditioned vehicles may just fancy these boxers because of the feel and comfort they give.

Bottomline is, each man should go for what he likes and probably what his babe/ wife likes or advises. All the talk about heat and no heat, low sperm count whatever is rubbish. Wearing the right size of boxers will always take the testes away from the body.

I hate those tight boxers like mad.. "Excessive heat damage the testes".

Then I guess you are not wearing the right type. The tight or elastic/ flexible boxers of quality are made to feel gentle and soft on the skin. They dont retain heat and not rough.

Try an Original H&M, Old Navy or Fruit of the Loom boxers and you will never drop it.

Another thing is wearing the right size of boxers. I wear size Large but because of the elasticity of these boxers, XL, Medium and some small (American) fits me albeit not very comfortably.

The right size will give u maximum comfort and she will love it on you...

There is no new tax policy of the government as regards personal income tax. The PAYE rate is still the same. So, there can't be additional deduction from police officers salaries. IPPIS need to explain the reason for the over deduction in police officers salaries. In addition, OP need to tell us if this is the first time that IPPIS is paying police officers salaries. Full information will allow us to know where the problem is coming from.

Truth is that there is no new tax policy but there is an enforcement of complete PAYE taxation. Most FG parastatals and agencies have not been taxing all components of employee's taxable income and where they do, it has not been full rate taxation. In the last four years or thereabout, the books of these agencies have been looked into by the FIRS and the State IRS for full and complete compliance. Implementation of total compliance started a few years ago in most agencies and is being done on yearly incremental basis until 100% is achieved.

I know this because I have friends in some of the big FG parastatals who experienced these yearly increases in taxation such that their total take-home today is less than their take-home of say last year and the year before.

Politics / Re: Kalu: Those Killing Nigerians Are Not Fulani Herdsmen, They're From Niger Republ by ibitzbarlow(m): 12:51pm On Jan 11, 2018
meethumb:
Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, the former Abia State governor has said that Fulani herders are not responsible for the recent killings in parts of the country.

According to him, prominent Nigerians who are against the anti-corruption war of the Federal Government are the major sponsors of the alleged killer herdsmen.

Kalu who stated this while sympathizing with the victims and families of those who were  killed in Taraba and Benue States, said perpetrators were mostly returnees from Niger Republic who infiltrated the people and pretended to be Fulani herders.

He said these killer herders were mostly sponsored by politicians who were aggrieved because the President blocked the various channels by which the country’s resources were being siphoned.

Kalu said when he was the governor of Abia State, he was  never in good terms with some  rich individuals who were busy milking the state.

He added there was trouble around the country now because President Muhammadu Buhari had ended the old ways of handling the nation’s resources.

Kalu spoke in his country home, Igbere,  during the launch of free interest loan to Abians in Abia North Senatorial District.

This is dumb. Niger is waging war on Nigeria in Nigeria according to Kalu. Yet we are going to build a railway line into Niger(Maradi- their 3rd largest city) and give them unfettered access to Nigeria to wreck more havoc. SMH

Gelegele, for one I know. Its completely Ijaw and even the settlement kind is ijoid and nothing similar to Bini.

On the issue of Leadership, I know the pre-colonial Obas of Benin were so powerful that their rulership/control spanned far beyond their territories. One can still recall that a place like Agbor was under tne Oba's control in that era. Will it then be right to say that Agbor people are not indigenous to Agbor because they were once under the siege/control of the Oba Dynasty?

We all know that the Oba is supreme in Edo State, but that doesnt give the whole of Edo State to the Binis. Other tribes do exist and are indigenous to Edo State.

You need to read the memo again, so that you understand it better. That memo to the presidency chronicles the HOS' handling/ involvement in Maina's re-instatement. It is not about the date of the memo or the memo but that " she sought audience with Mr President on the 11th of October and advised him against Maina's re-instatement". This means that Mr President was aware of Maina's re-instatement and didnt act until there was a public outcry.

Amaechi won pdp primaries and was qualified to contest for the rivers governor ship election . Then evil men that doesn't want his progress decided to change the goal post at the middle of the game. They removed him illegaly and brought in a man that didn't contest in the primaries. Trust me amaechi went to court cos he is a law abiding citizen and won the case upto supreme Court. That was hope the man that got to power via the back door was removed and replaced with the owner of the mandate. I am saying all this cos some of you endomie children are so gullible that you don't ve sense of history. You forget easily. Now will any man be angry with a man that refuses to give up on his mandate? Only a mad man should be against justice

The same Obasanjo that Amaechi now dines with in the APC was the person that declared the Rivers PDP primaries a " K Leg", refusing to give Amaechi the PDP flag then. Omehia was drafted in by Odili to ensure that the ticket did not elude the Ikwerres.

The Cabal's are outside Aso Rock

Do you ever think that those who controls the running and coordination of every nations government is within the government buildings? You must be a kid to even imagine that those who are incharge of Nigerian government lives in Aso Rock in Abuja's. Never. They are the scattered men all over the country who knows themselves.
You may be one of them right now reading this, and many who don't know how the working of government activities operates will keep looking at the wrong places.

Before any major decisions are taken by any living government there must be meeting and more meetings to arrive at a point. Example of such is the just concluded high power 2015 general elections which the formal president Jonathan Goodluck conceded defeat to the present government. The cabal played the card to arrive where we are right now.

Even after the concession and announcements, there followed another visit to authenticate the arrangement of early meetings and after thoughts of the invisible ruling class.

The ones you see in government are the appointee's of the invisible mafia Cabal's. The point is don't set up yourself to be a member of this glorious Cabal's. It's always a privilege to join them. These men are the appointee's of the CHRIST JESUS the king of kings and lord of lords. But there is and will always be a Cabal's in any society nations the world over.

And so stop accusing innocent appointee's of the invisible Cabal's. Someone asked the vice president last time of the existence of the cabal in Aso Rock, he gave an eye opener answer to the discerning minds

“Cabals are meant to be secret. I am still looking for those guys. Honestly, I don’t know where they are. I can’t tell you that I know where those fellows are,” he said.

Keep looking if you are not discerning. It could be your dad at home. One thing is certain; there is a Cabal'sand will always be and you could be next and I may be one of them writing these. It isn't an evil thing to be a member but it's evil if the Cabal's have an evil agenda against the nations as the agenda of PDP and it's handlers were to takeoff everything from the people and turn the people into beggerly generations

One word for the Cabal's members: you will give account of big and tiny impact of your contributions to the rise or the falls of the Nigerian state. And to the people; prayers for the Cabal's and also for the government.

Long live peace and blessings...

Confusion. The writer is confused. The write-up goes back and forth without delivering its purpose. You can do better bro. Your point was lost in all the jargons you dished out.
Politics / Paris Fund Refund: Federal Govt Lied Against Rivers State - Gov Wike by ibitzbarlow(m): 1:27pm On Jun 12, 2017
PARIS FUND REFUND: FEDERAL GOVERNMENT LIED AGAINST RIVERS STATE SAYS GOVERNOR WIKE.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has declared that the Federal Government did not disburse N34billion to Rivers State as Paris Fund Refund, saying that the level of lies, deceit and negative propaganda by the Federal Government has reached an embarrassing level.

Governor Wike challenged the Federal Government to publish the account where it paid N34billion in respect of the Paris Fund Refund due to Rivers State.

Speaking during the First Session of the 8th Synod Thanksgiving Service of the Anglican Province of Niger Delta, Governor Wike said: "As I speak to you, no N34billion has been paid to Rivers State. I challenge the Federal Government to show Nigerians the account they paid the N34billion ".

He said that the Federal Government released N14billion as Paris Fund Refund to Rivers State. According to him, after protests that the state had been short-changed , the Federal Government released another N3billion to the state, totalling N17billion.

The governor explained that the State Government judiciously deployed the N17billion and monitored the use of the Local Government funds for the payment of outstanding salaries.

Governor Wike accused the Federal Government of deliberately short-changing Rivers , Akwa Ibom and Delta states by ignoring the approved paymemt plan.

He said: "I read on the pages of Newspapers that Rivers State received the highest amount of the refund of the Paris Club to the tune of N34billion. I want to say categorically, that is not correct.

"The President approved that every state and Local Government should receive 50 percent. They came to say that they cannot pay 50 percent, but they can pay 25percent. Now, the 25percent of the 50 percent, they paid Rivers State Government and Local Government Areas, N14billion. They short paid Rivers State , they short paid Akwa Ibom and they short paid Delta States , which are PDP States. "

The governor added: "We are the only three states that were short changed. They paid all other states completely. So we started fighting. We raised alarm and they said we still have N3billion.

"For the remaining of the 25 percent , they called a meeting. They now said, we cannot pay you that 25percent fully. We will pay you part of the 25percent now, pay part in September, pay part in December. If they pay part now, part in September and pay part in December; then it will mean that they have paid Rivers State Government, N34billion ".

The governor stressed: "If they say that , we are entitled to N34billion, Okay. Being entitled and paying the money are two different things".

He assured the people of the State that the Paris Fund Refund will be used to pay for the Garrison-Trans Amadi-Elelenwo road, the Woji-Akpajo Bridge and road, the Elelenwo - Akpajo Road and other key projects across the state.

"They should come to Rivers State and see what we are doing with our money in comparison with the "change" states.

Speaking further, Governor Wike charged Christians to actively participate in the 2019 General elections to determine their leaders. He said Christians must discard the lukewarm attitude to governance.

He urged Church leaders to mobilise their members to register in the course of the ongoing voters registration.

For how long will Jonathan and his followers continue to whine over presidential election loss?
Over 6years was more than enough time for one man to make a difference, leading this country.
Face it! !
We now have a new government, and we all must work together if we are to make any meaningful headway. Enough of the lamentations...Buhari's government is in charge now.
Deal with it!!!

Did you even read the post? Is it about the whining from a pro-GEJ group or it is about the self-adulation of a pro-PMB group? Get your facts right and be objective. It is fool-hardy for we to dwell on 2015 forever instead of moving forward as a Country.

I appreciate the venom and the anger that many people express in Nairaland but I feel that those who insult and abuse others are only exposing their ignorance of the subject matter.

Before you comment, ask yourself the following questions.

What do I know about the subject matter?

From what standpoint can I examine the opinion in the article?

What is the probable reverse of the article?

And what can I learn from the article or the opinions of others?

I might choose to insult others to feign ignorance of what is being discussed but it's not in any way helping me to learn anything.

FFK, has been in government, I haven't. So when he writes, I read and then wait for a counter view or a valid opinion that will address the subject matter.
That is what I feel social media ought to be... Lol

Thank you for reading my sermon..

Yours

Well scripted and apt. If these simple steps are followed in our analysis of posts or in making our comments, there wouldnt be as much hate as we have on Nairaland.

Customs states requirements to buy auctioned goods, launches electronic platform
POSTED BY NAN ON APRIL 1, 2017 IN BUSINESS, ECONOMY

Joseph Attah, the NCS spokesman, told the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Abuja that the platform was presently undergoing user acceptability test

The Nigeria Customs Service says it will soon start using electronic platform to conduct it auctions as part of measures to ensure transparency in the sale of seized goods.
Joseph Attah, the NCS spokesman, told the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Abuja that the platform was presently undergoing user acceptability test.
Attah said: “What that means is that in the very near future in a matter of weeks, the NCS will officially deploy its trade portal.
“So the auction excises will be electronically driven.
“So when we say e-auction platform, (we mean) a platform in our trade portal that gives opportunity to all interested people to see what they want with full description of its present state.
“That is the condition that particular thing is and allows people to bid.
“Eventually the victory goes to the highest bidder at the end of the bidding process.”
According to Attah, the manual process of auctioning discouraged competition in the selection of beneficiaries and was opened to abuse.
Attah said that the customs boss, retired Colonel Hameed Ali, suspended the auctioning of goods to strengthen the process and provide equal opportunity for interested persons.
He added that what an interested bidder would require was an authentic Tax Identification Number from the Federal Inland Revenue Service.
He said: “Before this is officially deployed, we considered it necessary to adequately sensitise members of the public so that those things they should get ready before its deployment, they will be able to get them ready.
“What they need to get ready most importantly now is the Tax Identification Number.
“In other word, if you want to be part of this e-auction exercise, you have to approach the FIRS and get your TIN.
“It is open to all.”
Attah said other requirement for the bid included a copy of a recent passport photograph and N1,000 non-refundable administrative charges to be paid into the auction e-wallet.
Attah said the e-auction application would be accessible online through the NCS trade portal website: www.trade.gov.ng, adding: “No replacement for item auctioned.”
He said applicants must enter an agreement to abide by the NCS conditions and terms of the auction.
