Statement of purpose - this should cover a brief introduction into your previous academic achievements ; practical / relevant work experience, Career pursuits, why have you chosen Ireland and not studying such in your home country, of what importance or benefit is this course to your career pursuits and significance to Nigeria upon your return.
3. Telex
4. Statement of account of yourself
5.Statement of account of your sponsor
6. Proof of employment yours and your sponsor
7. Medical Insurance
8. Initial offer
9. confirmed offer or payment receipt as issued by the university
10. All originals of your previous academic qualifications
11. Payslips / proof of trading records for yourself or sponsor
12. If married, proof that your family will be alright while away
13. Valid passport
14. proof of English test
Your agent will guide you through your online questionnaire and the hard copy questionnaire that would accompany your documents

Irish Government targets 47,000 high-skilled ICT graduates by 2022



RTE reports that a target of delivering more than 47,000 graduates with high level ICT skills by 2022 has been set by the Government to meet Ireland's need for graduates in computing, electronic and electrical engineering.



Technology Skills 2022, Ireland's third ICT Skills Action Plan will be launched in Letterkenny this afternoon by Minister for Education and Skills Joe McHugh and Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation Heather Humphreys.

A PGC is equivalent to level 7 and you need to have an academic qualification at level 8 before you can be accepted into a level 9 i.e Masters program .
In-Class or Online degrees are relatively the same. I mean especially for PGD or MSc programs you cover the same modules but an online program is cheaper than In-class program and you don't have to hustle for a visa and its tenable anywhere in the world so far the school and the course is fully accredited and approved.

For those applying for scholarship, my simple trick at evaluating myself is e.g will I employ myself? Can I give myself scholarship if I was part of the Scholarship team? What do I need to see in a candidate to award such a scholarship and do I have such?

If you have exceptional answers to such questions, try your luck...

e.g Employers look for different things in each employee or applicant, acquire more than enough relevant experience and be exceptional.
I have a 3rd class client working with GLO as a high ranked IT expert and she's applying for a masters degree ; She has acquired excellent grades in 2 PGD programs and also a PGC program; so tell me do you think an employer will pick a fresh 1st class graduate over her ? I don't think so.

Just define what you want , pray, pursue it and the SKY is just the BEGINNING!

Finally, Ireland visa approval depends 95% on your documentation and justification of not studying your intended course in Nigeria or any where else.
But definitely better than Canada, Australia and even the US.

1. Are you sure your university is cool with partial payment?
2. Yes it is standard requirement to show any balance on your tuition fees alongside your living expenses when applying for your visa

I am aware Nigerians love risk, don't take funds out before your visa is approved

No its not. WIT I believe is a good school. Ireland has very few universities important thing to look out for is accreditation and more importantly courses covered if it aligns with your career goals.

Hi everyone I've read through the thread (102 pages) and I must say it's been very helpful.

I'm interested in studying in Ireland for a masters degree, I'm considering applying for a masters in FinTech from NCI (For this course what's my chance of getting the €5,000 scholarship with 3.0/5.0 CGPA in Business Administration? Secondly for someone who has had no previous background in programming or IT only a keen interest in Finance and who's looking to acquire a skill set in demand would it be realistic to follow this career path, can I actually achieve this bearing in mind that I'll also have a part time job while studying?

On the other hand I recently got an offer to study in Griffith College (Limerick) Masters in supply and procurement which is like a second option, I applied to the school directly I'm considering sending the school a mail asking for a discount? In the course of reading through the thread I noticed some people got discounts, my question is how did you get them and since I haven't gotten any should I request for it? I don't mind saving some costs where I can.

Please any advice/opinions would be highly welcomed.

Lots of school does... LIT, Sligo ...etc depends on if you want an add on program or Higher diploma.

Attend the next career fair and discuss with the school reps.

How good are they both?
I have 3rd year entry for Bachelors in LIT while 4th year in IT Tralee?

Which one is better to accept in terms of Institutes? And otherwise?

Try and research each school yourself and see their course structure if it aligns with your strength and expectations for your career pursuits.

In addition, Tralee provides free accommodation to UG students , while Limerick may have more work opportunities .

If you have an offer from DBS, that means you got an offer through an agent. Speak to them

IELTS would have sent you a link with 30 hours free online training... its called Road to ielts. take time to study that well and check youtube for examples of listening and speaking tests.

Yes, programs are available- Not all schools accept HND for higher diplomas.

A few schools do.

Plus, similar to undergraduate who get 1 year automatic work permit; higher diploma graduates also get 1 year work permit.

You will have to apply for a final year top-up or higher diploma; that's an headstart so find schools that have such available.

Greetings my honourable, I av a Bsc in Accounting edu and I am a chartered Accountant (ICAN), I currently av so much passion in ICT, please Sir, BTW Msc in fintech and Msc in Data analytics which 1 would you pick if you were to be in my shoes ?

Data Science or data analysis plays huge role in fintech;
However, Data Analysis on its own can be used in different sectors and requires medium to high level of programming and statistical analysis.

Fintech on the other hand can be a paid career prospect or entrepreneurial prospect ; it however involves quality and quantity programming skills including machine learning and predictive / behavioural analysis.

One important factor to note is that, you won't be taught all you need to know or excel in uni, alot goes into self development.

So I won't be able advise on which one you should choose as I/ don't know your programming strengths.

Personally, I detest programming so I settled for Business Analysis- covered advanced excel, Mysql, , statistical packages including R ; some schools used SPSS while other universities in the UK zeroed in on SAS and MS-SQL.

My point is know your strength and pick based on your passion.

if you can pay full tuition, and work with trusted school reps (not agent, school representatives) you shoiuld get the visa.

Anyone who has an offer from any university in Ireland already has the email of appropriate International officers; and if they are not certain about an agent they can send an email to their respective unis to confirm if such agent is working with such school.

People on this thread should be careful; New People ave arrived o...they will call themselves school rep and start commenting upandan and then say contact me for more information.

yes junior brother ,Msc international bussiness(griffth )they are twins (other pursue canada)but visa has been refused 2 times so am encouraging him to look ireland but for courses on the critical list ..like bussiness analysis or big data managment ....they are very desperate to leave Nigeria but I don't want them coming back to unemployment after the huge investment they are very young 24

You already know the drill, automatic 2 years work permit but if the person is exceptionally good and have relevant years of experience in Information systems / IT-Biz, he may get his long term work permit sponsored right after graduation.
