Police handle them for what? We are the ones encouraging brutality from our police force. Every country is governed by laws and Nigerian law gives citizens the right to express themselves freely as long as it is done within the confines of the constitution. The right to peaceful protest is sacrosanct.

sometimes I wonder what a senior solicitor of the Supreme spill out when they get part of the National cake. The right to expressly express yourself in form of protest as long as it is peaceful is non negotiable as enshrined in the 1999 constitution as amended.... These older generations benefit from the brutality agents of governments dish out to the youths and they don't want it to die a natural death, all we want is the police to stop all forms of brutality and extrajudicial killings against the youths of this country. Good enough this is a landmark precedence going forward

New outfit is coming out in fee days to weeks to replace SARS. i believe it's not just name change, the pressure should be on in order to set a good precedence to forstall a reoccurance of the SARS brutality..... Just hope it continues to be peaceful going forward...

May investigations lead to the capture of these criminals, they don't deserve to be in the society with others. They are BIG risk to others, police should make sure all of them are sent to jail.... Very pathetic story..

How many times have you led postive change in your immediate community not to talk of a larger community. Do you think it's an easy task to coin out and lead a positive movement for societal benefits? The youths who led this change to scrap an agency of government that has caused crimes against humanity is dumb? Or don't you think it is those who support government to brutalize and kill innocent and law abiding citizens that need that tag of yours 'dumb'. People are easy to criticize others in the comfort of their homes without knowing the sacrifices these youths have made to make this movement successful thus far. The youths are very smart to release their agenda in stages otherwise SARS won't have been dissolved, now is the next stage for reformation round the police force. We should all be partners for societal development devoid of intimidation, harrassment by those constitutionally empowered to protect us......

As a born again Christian who is meant to speak the truth at all times, i think banning sars Is wrong and we should learn to live with their excesses. Majority of present yahoo boys are future armed robbers. What do you expect someone who doesn't have any skill than stealing from people to resort to when yahoo stops paying? They either commit suicide or turn to armed robbery just to live above their means. This is why i blame we Christians for encouraging this menace called yahoo boys. Even in churches the pastors don't care if you scam or rob people as long as you bring money to their temple. How many Muslims are involved in yahoo? How many Northerners have SARS operatives harassed? Are there no sars in the north, why are northerners not complaining like we southerners? We Christians need to learn a lot from the ways of life of the average northern Muslim. Their ways of life is guided with the tenets of Islam and they are so contented with whatever they have and would never get involved in cyber crimes.

Everyone is protected by our constitution which gives rights as expressly stated there which is sacrosanct, if you have anything against any citizen the law court is where to adjudicate that. If the crowd are getting violent and wild they should disperse them probably with tear gas or something but never to shoot at them.

Nigerian police since inception don't know the rules of engagement when it comes to dealing with unarmed protesters. They have been walking away with extrajudicial killings for so long that it has become a norm in this part of the world to shoot at any one opposing ills of the society perpetuated by government. The time for change is now, I can't support police brutality in any way. Everyone has the right to freedom of expression as enshrined in our dear constitution, unarmed protesters should be allowed to protest against SARS brutality without intimidation . It is time for change in all aspect of our national life.

The NPF needs a wholistic reconfiguration with the ban of SARS. SARS was formed to battle armed robbers and kidnappers in 1992 in lagos. in early 2000 , sars units were created nationwide due to increasing violent crimes. 10 years later, Internet fraud became popular and armed robberies becoming old fashioned . sars guys were becoming idle, no more action , no money. efcc guys are living like Saudi princes.sars were envying efcc guys and decided to have their share of proceeds of frauds.

I disagree, criminals are infintesimal when compared to law abiding citizens of any country on planet earth. If SARS had not deviated in their line of duty, the mass support the protesters are getting wouldn't be there in the first place. If you had been one of the victims of SARS brutality u wouldn't say "Only criminals and beneficiaries of crimes want SARS ended" what's the difference between armed robbers and SARS operatives? if I must answer this question I would say SARS is a public enterprise (turned private enterprise) while armed robbers has been a private enterprise ever since but their modulus operandi are thesame. Change in a system like ours is difficult to implement because of personal interest supperseding public interest which impedes societal development , it is pertinent we all put hands on deck to change this tide for the greater good of all, this can be done by living above board, been dedicated to the cause of your duty, shunning all things that is antithetical to the development of the country and objectively criticizing government for continuos improvement.

The people u serve shall see u through not God, if u did not serve them well the people u did not serve will serve u ur pension plan. It is important we always do the right thing as leaders so that people will stand with you during elections rather than looking for God and to come and do miracles by alterating figures from elections.

This question can't be answered...... If it is finally answered, it will be in ur favour. Nigerians and Nigerian corporate entities fear for court order is unprecedented, could remember a case I instittuted against a corporate entity if you see how a company doing business in nine digits was running from pillar to post hiding from court bailiff until we went into substituted means by pasting it on the gate and using DHL. Imagine a corruption case is on and someone complaining why the case is all over the news, we are doomed as a nation because we support corruption either directly or indirectly.
