It's a good one but the law is dead already before its making, it won't see the light of the day in state houses of assembly....for me the root cause of corruption lies in our electoral system, if our electoral system is gotten right 50psrcent of corruption is solved in the country. I will be surprised if our electoral laws are amended to cater for electronics voting so that these corrupt elements in our country can be booted out of the system..Surprisely the sponsor of the bill was among those who kicked against electoral amendment by the last assembly.... We only push for the right things in this country when it suits our interest..... Guy you lack sound knowledge, that the dude derives maximum utility From his 100000UuSD car doesn't make him a poor dude or one with poor mentality. Budgets on luxury can never depict one with affluence, some with fee bucks go around with tasty gadgets likewise people with Big bucks and vice versa. michlins: |
The guy may be correct. I remembered my distance uncle who was older than my grandfather , had children who are older than my father by far and also had children that call me uncle.he had the very 5+ wivers, Imagine the age difference between him and those children that call me uncle , a whooping 85years........such is life fiercehillz: |
How do u know its market day counting? If you dig deep on this mama's history you will probably discover her grand children are grandpa and grandma.Prior to having to toe the line of western counting every native had their way of remembering the period they were born.... Don't be too hasty to dismiss this assertion of her age Iruosonobrugwhe: |
You know everything pal, I tell you those lawyers new this case was one in a hundred years case. They new they had the chances of writing their names in legal history because they had everything to do that If Supreme Court had looked at the merit rather than jurisdiction.this is not to say that we dont have lawyers who push clients to the limit just for personal gain.... If the precedence had been set, buying of judgement in court would have been dealt with.Another ills of the ruling is that Supreme Court has legalized printing of results and filling it in politians houses, watch out for Edo, ondo...... desiredhome: |
It came with no fine, because they new it wasn't frivolous it had merit bit refused to look at the merit but on jurisdiction. fergie001: |
That's the only reason they did that...... The dissenting guy just looked at the merit only, he was right... AkupeMBANO: |
Don't be, this guys had a compelling case... They had no reason but to stand on not having jurisdiction to hear the matter. They won't be fined, will be surprised if they are. seunmsg: |
The government failed in keeping it out just leave politics out of this.. Imagine minister of information few days back saying they can't ban Nigerians going to China but can give them advice to avoid covid19.i wonder if he sees covid19 with his eyes, eye witness account on ARISE tv confirmed testing was not consistent for people entering the country, that he flew out twice within the past two weeks but was tested once that's to show you how our policy makers think. It will shock them to know that Iranian vice president and deputy health minister has been quarantined, ASP ROCK no get immunity against this one tsephanyah: |
A guy that came to Arise TV for an interview was lamenting 3days ago that he came in through MMA without been screened with what is going on around the world this is unbelievable. Our leaders need to be tested for insanity..... Ladycewhy: |
who was that stupid minister who said 'we will not stop Nigerians from traveling to China, we will give them travel advise inorser to reduce the risks of contacting it' that minister is the biggest fool of the century,. He should come and give us advice now, government officials without brains. |
It won't be out of place if Nigerian security services put more effort in areas of intelligence gathering rather than physical security which is very expensive.... What stops them from having sense like their American counterparts? mvem: |
What you are saying is different from what Obi is depicting, do you know how many beast is on the convoy of trump at any time? Two identical beast, the president don't need to have 15beast on the ground at a time, adequate security measure has already been catered for with the car. It's bomb prove, bullet proof, the list goes on. These politicians have secured vehicles on their convoy and still decides to go with 20plus vehicles at everypoint, meanwhile they are shouting allocation is not enough for projects but never complain when the money flow to maintain their affluent life styles.... godofuck231: |
Guy putting on anything like you mentioned those not make one a criminal dreadlocks, tattoos etc does not make any look like criminals. Nigeria is a secular state and it's constitution is clear on the rights of citizens, I will never be part of those who will aprobate and reprobate at the same time. Section 33 through 40 is so clear on fundamental Human Rights. The law enforcement agents should be the ones to protect and ensure everyone enjoys these rights without fear. There is nothing wrong of anyone chooses to dress in dreads or put on a tattoo, it should never be use as a reason to arrest any innocent Nigerians.... It's high time stringent measures are put in place by those in authority to check the menace.... This isn't good for our reputable. StreetFight: |
What surprises me the most is that the police claim that the minimum qualification for entry is SSCE certificate but more than half of the junior officers can't do simple reading. Is it their use of spoken English ? Minus 1 or their adherence to the rule of engagement? Your answer is as good as mine. They are nothing to write home about, Nigerian police is a total disgrace. I weep for this nation, our so called leaders are not helping matters at all in helping to reform these criminals in uniforms... oviexcels: |
Are u even in this country? I don't think so, if you do you won't make that assertion..... KKKWHITE: |
RIP... very pathetic, he died in active service........... Sex no be war, is for pleasure purposes, a word is enough for the wise.... |
You should know that the Gov is also part of theopposition, they are supporting him to destabilize the APC's chances in the forthcoming elections. If Oshomole is not kicked out as chairman then obaseki losses primaries to Pastor and then may find alternative elsewhere just as it happened in Imo or Venue which will help PDP's chances raumdeuter: |
[ That's the one that got me thinking, the boss was there and he was the one soliciting for his subordinate to let go... What a country quote author=Nbote post=86791316]I was dumbfounded wen I heard it over d radio yesterday. And to think d Corps Marshal of Road safety was even there.. We know Nigerian laws are for d masses
|
[I can't agree more with your submission, the problems in this country is synergy in the security aparachik of the nation. The police does the job of road safety and so on. Our security agencies prefer to do eye service than their main job description. With all the herdmen mayhem, bandits in the northwest, Boko Haram, kidnappers and so on, how many will dss boast of providing intelligence that brought them down? Your answer is as good as mine, it's really appalling for the nation. quote author=Nephygg post=86802667]Lemme comment on this for everyone to be abreast of the work of the DSS as an intelligence organisation in the country. Their basic mandate is to procure intelligence and disseminate same to action agencies including NA, NPF, Customs, Immigration, Navy etc or the Political actors including the President, Governors Speaker etc on anything capable of impeding on Nation peace and stability. DSS does not go to war by their mandate but as at present, they are even at war with the Military in Borno state for the people doubting maybe they are together. U can confirm this if u have a friend in the Army posted to the North east. Also, DSS can act on any security threat that is capable of distorting public peace whice the action by the PTD association portends. PTD can have a peaceful protest but they have no constitutional right to enforce the closedown of filling stations anywhere therefore necessitating the action of the DSS. However, most of the citizens in Nigeria does not really know the work of this agency thereby castigating them often but DSS doesnt work to impress or arraign. They neither grant press conference nor parade arrested criminals for public to see. They procure intelligence and disseminate same in real time.
|
madridguy:Truth be told our intelligence services always do eye services instead of doing the main hatchet job of intelligence gathering and passing it to the appropriate services for onward action. They should deploy more of those guys to the trouble zone to gather more intellence for better homeland security.... |
chatinent:Not FBI but CIA... Just for the sake of correctness. CIA are with the soldiers on the battle ground outside the American territory, FBI is mainly for the homeland. |
michoim:Please go and relax with ur unguarded statement, has buhari nominated any judge to the Supreme Court? Has he nominated the Chief Justice? Can u say he plan ed the cjn for APC? You guys comments is full of biase that's why our country is backward |
Nigerians are really funny, u are funny in particular. Instead of blaming this whole issues on APC internal issues you keep blaming others for your woes, that's why this country will never move forward in the short time. You are quick not to give her credit for nassarawa and kadunna but quick to lamberst her on Bayelsa. You should be object, your submission is full with biase. For me it's a landmark ruling, I have stood on this point and won't go back on it simply because our political system is in comatose , it chuns out politicians with little or zero integrity when it comes to party's internal democracy. APC national chairman as if he knew before hand, warned the screening committee to do a thorough job, did they do that? Your answer is as good as mine. Imposition by the Godfathers was the other of the day nothwistanding the odds, since the screening committee could not do their job, Supreme Court was left with no option but to invoke section 187 after disqualifying the deputy. APC should look inwards they can't continue to do the same thing and expect different result. solmus: |
360degreess:They did not paint the right issue that led to the ban, they are just obssesed with the trump admininistration. Truth be told Nigerian government was warned 1yr before now and nothing was done about the issues raised about identity management in the country. CNN just want to cash out using any news to their advantage. |
Petyprincess:U are contradicting yourself, I will choose a rich and cheating man '' and 'God knows I can't tolerate a cheat' wetin u want self? |
Neoteny:Have u read the judgement at all? It says they were not candidates in the election, Supreme Court only affirmed what the high court ruled before elections took place. Go get itself abreast with the ruling and get ur facts |
fergie001:It's a good call, I think the justices should revise themselves in both cases, Bayelsa and imo to have a good review because the same justices will be adamant to change even with glaring and superior legal arguments .... |
voltron14:Your perception is wrong, trump is only looking inwards to steer his country to better greatness than they were before his sojourn. |
Was just exuding smiles reading your PH slang, even without depicting your place of abode I sight u already.. Will end by saying 'u full ground well oil Dey ur skull' JessetariahMD: |
Audu and this case was quite different. In Audu's case APC as a party has a candidate which was represented by the party's logo on the ballot. Unlike this which did not pass the scrutiny of some relevant laws for joint ticket. quote author=Neoteny post=86680180] James Faleke I can't even remember the details of that case All i recall is that Yahaya Bello was the nuclear fallout of that disaster
|
Educate yourself with relevant sections of our laws and get tutored so u don't spill out rubbish in public domain.... They were never candidates in the election. You can only impeach someone that won elections, but in this case they were disqualified before the election it's a pretty election matter. Neoteny: |
indeed politics is a dirty game. Goldman's Sach predicts that Covid19 might cause Trump to lose reelection... So PDP will exploit this for there advantage but APC knows how to play there card well.... We are observing
