Business › GTB Ajose Adeogun Branch This Morning by ifyalways(op): 8:48am On Mar 27, 2012
I was at GTB ajose adeogun this morning to do some transactions.Teller took my cash, just about to credit my account and they asked everyone out.The fire alarm was up and belling.we've been all out, bankers and clients for the past 30 minutes.

Pissed is an under statement,I held on to the cashier outside and made her sign that she took a certain amount of money from me first.Naija sef and there is no sign of fire brigade of whatever, just scaring people for nothing. . .or so it appears

@Saka,There are nursing homes in Nigeria. The fact that it seems folks don't patronise them does not mean they don't exist.

@Topic,My parents(well, one as the other is late) and my PIL's are me and my husbands responsibilities when they get old.I and my husband are both eldest kids and only boy/girl child's respectively so we are already prepared for the task ahead.

My mom and my PIL's don't actually have to live with us before we take care of them.Visiting for short periods, getting them a permanent care giver, having them actively involved in whatever hobby they like, taking our kids to them for vacation and having them go for vacations are some of the plans we have for them when the right time comes. Not forgetting my brothers and SIL's kids and homes too.

My mom can't even stay with me for more than 3 months at a strech.she says she misses her church and evangelism plus "our night noise" that probably gets her prayers stranded at the rooftop. . .lolz

I don't believe its anything superstitious.I do believe if ever the notion is true it happens because the strangers most probably plunged into a river they have little or no knowledge about and/or are poor or not very good swimmers.

What i mean by no knowledge are :
areas with high tides and water current.
areas with the presence of rocks and/or harmful water animals.

Its only but a foolish stranger that would jump into a pool of water s/he sights without stopping to ask questions.

Culture › Re: What Is Meaning Of Apako by ifyalways(f): 10:21pm On Mar 26, 2012
ezotik: i find it amusing that people who often claim pidgin words originated from their language often do not know the meaning of such words.

akpako does not mean yansh/puccy/toto. akpako simply means game-face. so to "nack akpako" is to put on a game-face which is usually a front to show u are rugged, tough and from the streets.

and it is not "i go nack your akpako" but rather "i go nack you akpako" meaning im going to put on my game-face for u. and it is it from terry g's song akpako master. and in terry g's case, he is putting on his game-face of craziness.

now, u mofos should say thanks for taking y'all to school. school of pidgin english, that is. grin

Much ado about nothing.Don't know why things are hard(well, except one thing) in marriages these days.

Who are the husband's family that are insisting on celebrating the union in the dad's place?what is the husband(to be) position? This is how it starts oh,extended family pokenosing into matters, making simple things complicated for the new couple and sowing early seeds of discord.

This is an issue that should be agreed on by the young couple, then they convey their decision to both families.

The way forward now is to pick a neutral venue. The girl goes home to calm her mom,the boy goes to his people to tell and invite them to the new avenue and both goes to the the girls dad to invite him to the new venue.Shikena.

Was that lastpage or the "wife" ?

I don't agree with some parts of your posts though you raised fine points in regards the way and manner of death.
I still believe all was NOT well in the marriage prior the last surgery and there were much strain and negative vibes in both in-laws camps.

Why was the husband not at the hospital to stop that last surgery?IMO,that was what any truly loving husband would do.
why is he not talking about the domestic violence accusations?is he really guilty?
why did the sister sign the idemnity form?
Family › Re: Is It Normal For A Woman To Shout At Her Husband? by ifyalways(f): 2:57pm On Mar 26, 2012
Very abnormal.

Infact,i think the NASS should just pass a law that would ban marriages in Nigeria for 3 years.WTF is all these negativity everywhere?we all need to get back to the drawing board.why are people getting married these days?I might prolly ask when next i get a wedding IV.

I'm not God and so should not sit on the judgement seat but you know what?Your friend (parents of the kids) dont deserve to have kids. What type of irresponsible parenting and lifestyle is that?

How old are the parents themselves?
SMH @the growth rate of dysfunctional families with little or no values.

The other i hurriedly took my kids home from a beach when the fun turned sour. Some boys below 10 were dancing on stage and their idea of "entertainment" was to bring out and hold their tiny diicks in hand, making suggestive and dirty moves on the floor, puffing out long smokes from cigar and drowning glasses of beer.
Family › Re: Advice To Your Childless Brother Who Is The Only Son In Your Family. by ifyalways(f): 2:36pm On Mar 26, 2012
Why does he not have a child? that should be the question and the answer lies in a qualified medical doctor's office after the couple must have ran series of tests.
Family › Re: Cry From The Grave - Ogo's Story by ifyalways(f): 2:07pm On Mar 26, 2012
Just read the husbands "side of the story" and all i can say is wow,no mention of domestic violence at all,he was busy with tales of how much he spent on her.

Both sides of the story might have been doctored and edited but the bottomline still is;Ogo is dead today because she stayed and endured different degrees and forms of violence from the beast she married.

No one is worth dying for!
Family › Re: Cry From The Grave - Ogo's Story by ifyalways(f): 1:49pm On Mar 26, 2012
Heart breaking story.

What are the plans for the kids now, hope they are not left in the care of the husband?

S/he that God have blessed with ears and a head should hear;
You cannot love anyone more than you love yourself.
Hitting, slapping, beating and emotional abuse is not love, fruits of love, signs of love or a mere mistake.
Run,far far away from anyone abusing you physically and emotionally.
Divorce and seperation are better options,a million times better than staying in an abusive marriage.
Try as much as possible, especially for women to gain your in-laws respect and affection. You'd need their back and support someday.
Marriage is not a do or die affair.
Don't give anyone the chance to talk down on your, bruise your self worth or make you worthless.
God ordained marriage but God never said anyone should die "working, enduring" his/her marriage, when it gets to shoving and pushing, walking away won't lead to hell.

@Blank,lead such friends to "Professional" counsellors and/or abused women NGO's.(Not pastors)

@OP, are you sure it was a kiss and not a peck you saw?

Which nationalities are you and your husband?

I don't think your husband is serious about the suicide stuff etal, he is only using that to hold you ransome and ease the guilt.

Can you start by calling your husband?call and invite him home for a serious talk. He needs to accept he hurt you, repent of his cheating ways, apologize sincerely, you guys review the marriage rules then you decide if the marriage is worth staying in. . .

You might also consider telling another trusted but sane soul about this murder threat, just in case. Your mom or a long standing family lawyer should know, just for records sake.

Wow. I so pity the nanny, sacked for "obeying" oga's command as I believe most probably that the op's husband might have threatened her with her job into fucking him. Poor girl is sacked now, no pay for nanny work, no pay for in-house whoring.

@OP, did you pay the nanny off before terminating her contract?you needed no second opinion on how to deal with the nanny who is a victim of circumstance but you do need a third and fourth opinion for your he- goat man? Please, call that nanny and settle her ie salary. No be she send you and your mkpi husband message.

Telling you this with my "soinday school" church mind.
